Hey no, it's tax compliance. Ever since Brexit the UK requires EU people to charge UK VAT and pay them through a UK fiscal account, which it turns out is particularly difficult to obtain (need to send physical forms whose contents make no sense). On top of that there is no clear rule or infrastructure regarding double taxation of VAT (or so I can gather from the fact the french IRS doesn't answer any question on the matter), so I don't even know what I should do there, aside from not having put the time to be able to do anything. That may happen, but in the meantime, the short story is: Brexit fucked up everything wrt international sales, I can't ship there

Can you please explain how to do settings? ALL I want is to swap Z/X in options. Half the time it works. Half the time it doesnt work. Half the time it doesnt detect controller inside slippi (but shows inputs inside the lossless adapter). And when I reset it is like Im holding the down button constantly. I dont understand the settings at all, its very confusing. Is it defaulting to tournament mode where x/z swap is disabled? How do I just DELETE tournament mode? I wish there was just a button I could press to swap z/x on all 4 controllers.
Hey, you can configure profiles for programs. A mode is a program-profile pair. 'Tournament mode' is the nickname for the first pre-configured mode, Switch/Dolphin with the default profile ("") and is the one mode you can't delete. To swap X/Z, you need to configure a profile for the Switch/Dolphin program, and set up "X actuates Z" and "Z actuates X" in the app. Then, you need to add a mode with the Switch/Dolphin program and the profile you just created (use the "Add associated mode" button shortcut for that) and launch it. To set-up swapping X and Z at a press of the adapter button, you need to set up 2 modes, one with the remapping, one without, and both with an override of what the adapter button does to launch the other mode. To set-up this override, since you can't use the 'Reboot into first mode with program' option at that would be the first mode ("tournament mode"), use "Reboot to mode at index" option, and have both mode point at each other. If anything doesn't work, please dm me on Discord or Twitter and we'll work through it. Half the time it doesn't detect inputs in Slippi > probably due to the adapter being claimed by the configuration app, the half time it doesn't work. Unclaim it in the input viewer (/ close the app) before launching Slippi.
Looks incredible just have three Questions. 1. Does it work on the Wii U? 2. When its plugged in the PC. Does the PC recognize it as four Xinput controllers immedietly? Or does it only register an Xinput when the controller is plugged in? 3. Does it work with the Wavebird controllers?
1. Yes but there are some issues with the rumble I haven't investigated yet 2. Yes, it recognizes 4 XInput controllers immediately. There's also a profile option to have it only spoof 1 controller, as seeing 4 bothers some games. 3. I don't know.
Hey Julien. I'd be curious to know how controllers with your pico firmware like OF1 rivals in terms of input delay or other boxes. Also why not make an adapter for USB controller like the Pro? Is it because it wouldn't work or not enough people interested? Anyway cheers man, love your work.
Hey Bastien, My Pico firmware has ~4.1ms of input delay on Ultimate & ~0.6 on Slippi/PC (using the same method/definitions as the charts in the video). Other digital controller firmwares are at best as fast, I don't know how much. As for USB controllers, I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but if you mean a USB middleman that reduces lag, that's a whole other piece of cake. I'm aware the Pro controllers have Bluetooth interference issues at tournaments and that their wired mode is awful, so it would be really really nice if a device that made the USB connection not shit was made and I want to look into it soon, but there's 0 guarantee it's possible, it's even unlikely. Usually input lag is the sum of the input lag of each part of the pipeline. In the case of the GCC>USB adapters, the GCC have ~0.3ms of input lag and the OEM adapters have ~5.1ms (non OCd); lowering lag means just performing better than the OEM adapter. So here the lossless really has ~1.9ms and so the total goes down. But if you're gonna add another step to the pipeline, you'd expect to necessarily add lag because you're not removing the lag of a device you're replacing from the equation. Now it's not necessarily impossible for such a device to exist because input lag is more of a matter of "negotiation" of how to communicate between subsequent devices of the chain. So if 2 devices are very poor at "negociating" and have a lot of lag as a result, it may be possible to put a "negociator" device in-between that communicates "well" with both devices and end up lowering the overall lag. But this thought can only exist because the devices were doing something bad to begin with. If there are no inefficiencies to be fixed, there is no lag-reducing middleman to be built. The Mayflash adapter for instance has such communication inefficiencies that I could build a USB intermediate that lowers the overall input lag by ~11ms. The official adapter doesn't. I don't know atm if the pro controller in wired mode exposes such a remotely fixable inefficiency. So I don't know if it can be saved. I intend to try to figure that out soon. If it does, then I'll make such devices.
@@SSBMArte Thanks for the detailed answer ! Glad to hear your firmware is pretty competitive. Well done ! I think the main selling point would be the alleged "consistency" of the inputs, because at the end of the day, if the difference with an official controller in terms of adapter overhead is merely a few milliseconds, 52 ms vs 56 ms of "lag" quite simply will not matter, at all. The pros saying they felt any difference were mostly affected by placebo, unless the aforementioned "input consistency" somehow played a role. The charts are quite a bit misleading. Despite this, I would've probably bought one, but for 40€ + a USB cable to buy separately, I wouldn't get one unless I was a super top player really trying to squeeze every single possible external factor out of my performance.
