Our property in meridian/Kuna are had over 100 elm trees that were killed by Dutch elm disease back in the 1960’s. We used to play stump-tag in the yard when they got cut down. Haha!
I love our Wisconsin cycle, too. It becomes part of your inner being when you grow up in this climate. Every season is a joy to be celebrated. ❣️ I love seeing Russel running through the videos. Lucky kitty. Lucky you. 🐱
A great video idea could be "life with Russell." Snippets of his day.. Running, chasing, playing, sleeping, cuddling, eating, etc. he seems so full of life and energy. For those who LOVE pets and gardening it would be such a fun addition to watch. Love you and your content!
Thank you for the wonderful tour... It is SO much fun watching Russell being a playful, silly, goofy kitten, scatting and skittering around with you in the yard. We love him! He is so adorable!
If you have a local bee keepers assoc. ask if some one may be interested in keeping/maintaining some of their own hives on your property. My husband does that to help others with their crops/orchards, or he takes some to our NC mtns. to get sourwood honey.
Personally, I like seeing how everything has been cleaned up. It's as if the earth has washed and exfoliated her face, applied a nighttime serum and moisturizer, and is now taking a breather and getting ready to present a fresh canvas for spring. A tour of Christmas lights and such sounds wonderful. As much as you've talked about Aaron's projects, I'm sure a great many of us are looking forward to a grand reveal. God Bless.
While you talk Russel entertain us.He is a ball of fun so cute jumping all around you, a joy to watch. Have a blessed Christmas with. love from Australia
Hi Laura!! My favorites videos are the Garden tours..is so good to see the progress and the cicles, season by season, because i am from Brazil and in here we don't' have much changes in the seasons..so congratulations your garden it is AMAZING, even when don't have much going on... it makes me want to move to US because i am fascinated by how things works in there!! And we are crazy to see your baby boy running around with you and Aaron, planting and taking care of your garden!!Best wishes from Brazil!!
Oh how the days will pass when the baby comes. You will just be planting lots of loving on that baby and just waving at the yard. There is a new season coming to your household. It's the blessed season. The yard will wait patiently for you.
With regards to the bees, you need to check on a weekly basis to ensure that the bees aren't making new queen cells. If they do then you need to destroy it. If they hatch a new queen, she will swarm and take half of the hive with her. You also need to check regularly that your queen is happy and healthy - if she dies then you need to get another one to stop them from leaving to find a queen. In the UK we have to do a 6 month training course before we can keep bees so maybe when you decide to have another go, have a look to see if your local bee keeping association can do some more training with you before you get your bees.
Oh how I love when Russell goes zooming past you. Mom, Mom, look at me!!! Put a curve in the pathway you talked about. Makes things interesting. Can not wait for your Christmas tour. Can not wait for the baby!!
"why didn't i do that when I first moved in", lol, I say that all the time when I finally get something done. I can see you take pride in your property, those improvements are great.
Such a good time to have a new baby! While the garden is sleeping, you guys can get into the swing with becoming parents. By the time baby is sleeping through the night and you are in a routine and have baby things more or less figured out, spring will be waking up the garden. I don't think you could have asked for better timing. Best wishes for an easy as possible delivery! Blessings!
I’m sooo excited for a lights and Christmas trees tour! Loving this video 😁 excited to see how you change the format, your tours are some of my favorite videos.
Laura. Your garden looks great. You and Aaron have accomplished much this past year. Take it easy...next year will be crazy, even if you do plan ahead. Babies do that to you.
Hi can you please do more vlogs and maybe day in the life because I loved watching them from last year especially when you guys had a snow storm. Keep being amazing ❤️
Once again I love your videos. I would suggest taking all your leaves and smother all those bare spots in your beds. They do break down pretty quickly after the snow melts. Even your vegetable beds. The more organic matter you can add back the better. Wish I had all your leaves. I think next year I am going to put on FB that I will pick up everyones bagged leaves.
It would be great for that front corner where you guys have mulched all the leaves if you could water with some compost tea a couple of times before you get snow. We usually don't get snow here in 7b, but we do have terrible compacted clay, and I find that using compost tea on new areas can really help to enrich the soil. Hope this helps and can't wait to see all the new things next year!!
Yes! I hate elm trees, too. I grew up in northern New Mexico and they were just terrible. The wind storms would just destroy the mature trees and drop the seeds everywhere. My mother’s honeysuckle died and now she has a fence line of baby elm trees cut down to a shrub form. We just could never kill them!
I’m glad to see you haven’t cut your iris leaves, I left mine untouched also as I knew since they were still green that they were still a good food source.
I've enjoyed all the garden tours this year. Even though you don't think there was much to show in this one, I found it so interesting to get a run down of all the buttoning up you guys have done. It's a wonderful conclusion to the year, and I can't wait for the Christmas light tour! Thank you, Laura and Aaron, for sharing these with us.
The garden tours are so fun and such a source of inspiration for me. I will be looking forward to seeing what you do along the side of your house; I have a similar area that we just cleaned out.
We bought a new house this last February and your channel has been such an inspiration! I planted my first bulbs this year after watching your bulb video and I can’t wait for spring. 😁Thank you for uploading such informative and inspirational garden videos. A Christmas light tour would be awesome! 🎄
I can’t wait to see your Christmas videos, you are so talented and creative! You are so very blessed and you have a wonderful family, thank you so much for sharing them with us. Also can’t wait to see the darling baby boy, soon very soon! Our Heavenly Father watch over you and all your family, pets included, keeping you all safe, bless you with life abundantly and many years of joy and prosperity. Much love ❤️ in Christ Sis.
I'm so glad your garden is doing so well and things are getting done. I have to admit I'm jealous that you have a full on temperante climate, we in the tropics don't ever have a chance to look back or rest.
I enjoyed the update. Loved seeing Russell running in and out. I can tell you get short of breath easily. take care. looking forward to the Christmas tour...yay
I live the ideas you have for December garden tour! And next year's ideas I'm so excited! You're such a strong mama walking and talking! Ha you go girl! God Bless!
Hi Laura! I know that this isn't gardening related, but I have this same thought every single video I watch...you always have the cutest, best fitting jeans! Where are your favorite places that you buy your jeans/bottoms from (non-maternity)?
So glad you and Erin are making good use of those leaves! They certainly make a lovely natural mulch in your garden. I like the less lawn, more garden approach as well. Your plans for an evergreen area in the corner of your property sounds very nice. Looking forward to see the christmas lights tour.
Hello! I'm from Iowa and we call Elm trees, trash trees too! If we have high winds, we have to make sure we keep a close eye on the fence, because of the elm trees, so the cows and horses don't get out. I love your and Aarons videos!
Hi Laura now you have composers would you start composting your annuals since they take all the nutrients out the soil so you can bring back those nutrients back into the soil? I know you get the bags of soil (free or cheap idk) but it would be amazing if all those plants would be composted to promote sustainability. I'm sorry all the bees moving away again.... that sucks. Your garden is getting amazing I love watching the garden tours and see how all turns out. Thank you for al the time you put in. I know with bieng pregnant gardening is hard so kudus. Major kodus. Good luck with the last 7 weeks. Kind regards rose 🌹
Thank you for sharing with us! I love those birch trees, I always enjoy the architectural beauty of trees in the winter. We have all 4 seasons here in North Alabama so everything looks just like your plants and trees. We don't get quite as cold or have the snow you do, but it still gets cold and very hot in the summer. Can't wait to see the Christmas lights!
Next time you clean out the TruDrop containers you should do a video of how to prepare them for winter. I've been thinking about getting them, but having to take them apart each winter seems a bit overwhelming.
Hi Laura....I see you have made video on irrigation/drip system installation, want to see how do you winterize them ? want to see what you do with 1/2" tubing and what you do with 1/4" lines ?
Hey Laura, thanks for another great video. I love your garden tours and all your planting videos, especially in summer. I live in zone 6 and will hopefully get my final winter clean up done this weekend. I am already dreaming about spring and what I can plant next. You have been a great inspiration. Russell is a little show off. I enjoy seeing him in your videos and look forward to seeing your little boy next year also. Have a blessed Christmas!
Garden tours are my favorite! I do hope you guys are able to do them still, would love to see you giving us a tour with your little guy strapped in! That would be so adorable! I’m looking forward to the Christmas 🎄 light show I’m sure Aaron did a great job! Russell! Oh Russell! I can’t keep my eyes off of him! What a goofball! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Just had to tell you I made my first wreath yesterday! Your instructional videos helped a ton. Thank you for posting those ❤️ it turned out a little wonky lol, but overall it's so festive and has lots of character ❤️
None of your fans care that you haven’t cleaned out your beds from the fallen leaves, we only care about you and a healthy baby. A stress free pregnancy is important and we want the best for you and your family. Very excited for a holiday lights tour next month 🎄
It would be lovely if one of your short videos would show beds you planted a year ago vs a year later. The bed with the sedum, daisies, and dianthus would be great. You look great and keep up the fabulous gardening.
I feel as if I see your vision for the grove of trees and it'll be fantastic. I copied your example of the cabbage rose winter garden near the door and love it too. Thanks for the inspiration! As to all your future plans, maybe use some of the indoor winter time to review all you've done so far. You've done so much already. It's impressive.
The new garden tour options sound great!!! I'm a Caribbean subbie and I'm experiencing my first legitimate Autumn and winter in Italy this year its really different but also really beautiful.
Those posts were used as markers so no one drives over them. They sell markers that are tall and beautiful, but let trucks etc know pipes are there. Be careful. The downside can be digging up entire yard to lay new pipes. Looks gorgeous
Fabulous video looking forward to seeing your December video. Please take take of yourself don't overdo it. I for one will miss you when you have your baby but realise you need to take time out. Take care God bless xx
This was a great tour!! Love just to see. Russell looks like he's filled some pretty big shoes...he's doing a great job. Can't wait to see all your Christmas lights.
My husband would first say I was weird for watching all your videos lol then he saw your husband in them participating and now we watch them together. You guys are great!!! Thanks for the videos. Any video, keep them coming.
This is not our property.... fast forward 5 years and BOOM! what an amazing achievement 💝
I LOVE watching these old garden tours hearing your dreams and it's become sooo much more than you had ever dreamed.
Laura I kid you not. Your channel is the first thing I turn on as soon as I get home. Having you as part of life is such a blessing!
Our property in meridian/Kuna are had over 100 elm trees that were killed by Dutch elm disease back in the 1960’s.
We used to play stump-tag in the yard when they got cut down. Haha!
Russell makes me laugh so much. I love his antics 😂
I love watching Russell run around photo-bombing wildly like he's been in the catnip!
Every time Russell darts across the screen, an angel gets his wings.
Russell is the "Where's Waldo?" In your videos.
I like the monthly garden tours but I LOVE watching for Russell.
Love you and your content!
plz dont stop garden tours...........i love garden tours....
Thank you for the wonderful tour...
It is SO much fun watching Russell being a playful, silly, goofy kitten, scatting and skittering around with you in the yard.

Yes! Good idea, my parents had one and my uncle would come by and maintain them and we'd get fresh honey. Might be worth a try. :)
Oh, and watching your kitten run around in the background made my day ❤️
Personally, I like seeing how everything has been cleaned up. brittney Tucker “
I miss seeing Dexter, but love new little Russell. He seems like as much of a gem as Dexter way. It is so hard to lose our little four-legged lovies.
Oh how I love when Russell goes zooming past you. Mom, Mom, look at me!!! Put a curve in the pathway you talked about. Makes things interesting. Can not wait for your Christmas tour. Can not wait for the baby!!
Loved the garden tours this year but so looking forward to the Christmas tours. The two things I love best🎄🌺
Laura, you are a very hardworking and admirable woman
"why didn't i do that when I first moved in", lol, I say that all the time when I finally get something done. I can see you take pride in your property, those improvements are great.

We're gonna need a nursery room tour too 😀
I’m sooo excited for a lights and Christmas trees tour! Loving this video 😁 excited to see how you change the format, your tours are some of my favorite videos.
oh boy your new evergreen garden sound wonderful. can't wait to see what specimens you use.
LOVE the old school elm education spliced in :) Happy Holidays to you and yours!
you can revive that lilac by taking it down to the ground and letting it come back up...some older lilacs are rare and scented deeply.
Laura. Your garden looks great. You and Aaron have accomplished much this past year. Take it easy...next year will be crazy, even if you do plan ahead. Babies do that to you.
I'm.commenting from the future, January 2023. It was fun seeing Russell as a kitten.
I love your orange spidercat, the best part of your garden!
I'm excited about the Christmas tour!! Lauren, you look wonderful! And Russell feels like he's always been there...co cute!
I'm so excited for your plans for next year's projects, I love what you have planned so far!
❤ BABY RUSSELL ❤
Hi can you please do more vlogs and maybe day in the life because I loved watching them from last year especially when you guys had a snow storm. Keep being amazing ❤️
Hi!Russell love seeing him on video. I love your garden tour. Thank you.
You might want to do starts for that Lilac, To preserve that variety. Probably get rid of the old one.
The Christmas tour is such a great idea! Russell is hilarious in the back ground. I just love cats.
Once again I love your videos. I would suggest taking all your leaves and smother all those bare spots in your beds. They do break down pretty quickly after the snow melts. Even your vegetable beds. I enjoyed the update. Loved seeing Russell running in and out. I can tell you get short of breath easily. take care. looking forward to the Christmas tour...yay
Your winter kale gave me an idea. It's form might be perfect for writing initials with it. Would be cool for an entry.
Love your video's.... I know your baby will enjoy getting out in the garden with you! I love love those mountain greens Christmas pots
Russell is so adorable!!
It will be so cute in 2019 to watch the baby help mommy plant seeds in the driveway beds. 😁
Oh...can't wait for that Christmas tour! You seem to be doing very well. Love seeing Russell run and play.
I live the ideas you have for December garden tour! And next year's ideas I'm so excited! You're such a strong mama walking and talking! Ha you go girl! God Bless!

I can just picture the baby in the background while you film these tours....I can't wait!!
Hi Laura! I know that this isn't gardening related, but I have this same thought every single video I watch...you always have the cutest, best fitting jeans! Where are your favorite places that you buy your jeans/bottoms from (non-maternity)?
I believe she mostly wears American Eagle jeans
