Aaron, this is for you. I really appreciate your videography. When Laura speaks about a plant or is looking a particular direction, you follow her gaze with the camera. It's like we're actually there with her. Seeing what she's seeing. You could teach some other RUclipsrs a thing or two.
I agree! And he never moves too slow, or too fast. I know the quick movements make some people sick, so some people will pan REAL slow and by the time they get there the person talking has already moved on 😅 it has me trying to look around the corner of the screen! But not here. It always flows so well.
I laughed out loud at least twice. Once when Aaron asked Laura why she didn't wear her up when it was windy and he mentioned his favorite flowers were those you had to locate on the ground. Pretty witty today! ❤
Aaron was sassy the day this was filmed. He absolutely made me laugh so hard that I had to rewind the video to catch what I missed! The Tiger Eyes Sumac caught my eye from the house. Stunning!❤
I love Russell and Cheddar but, oh, my! Douglas is a Love, too. Throughout the entire video I just wanted you to reach down and scoop him up. He was dying for some attention. No wonder he adopted you guys. Who wouldn’t want to hang out in such a gorgeous garden with a loving family.
Poor Douglas is dying for some love and attention from you and Aaron! As usual, I am always amazed how wonderful your property looks. Really enjoy your tours. Thank you for sharing.
I agree with Aaron that there are too many awkward boxwoods near the fireplace and some have to come out to make a nicer hedge line. You would probably don’t need that second pathway to the fireplace. Seems like a lot of pathways in that area but maybe it makes more sense to have one from the new kitchen/Hartley path to the fireplace. You will have to see how you use the space. Absolutely love the evolution!
It's so funny...I'm a cat and garden person and I watch the cats trying to get into the action when you film. I was watching ( I think Douglas) following you, acting all sweet, but also wanting your attention, fawning all over on the ground, rubbing against the plants and what ever moment he could get from your ever -in-motion legs....and then he swiped at you! I caught that. He tries so hard to get your attention, poor baby. I love how you stopped for a minute , said, " he just swiped at me" and then continued without a missed beat. Those cats are so happy lucky. Love your space and energy....so do the cats obviously! Thank-you.
Arron's suggestion about less plants in a pot was great and proved good. His suggesting about the separate planting to see them was another good idea. This guy is smart!!!
Good morning from the UK 🇬🇧 I thought I was going crazy with the time 🕰️ then I remembered our clocks went back an hour yesterday. So I’m sitting down and watching RUclips just after 11:00am, whereas I would normally be getting ready to watch you at 12 noon….nice, early morning bonus. Something I never thought of (had noticed in prior videos) is how the lily pond leaves have changed colour, now that the weather has started to cool and change. Love how the bushes along the fence line look like they are dancing in the wind. I’m loving this video and I had better start to watch it properly 😊 Edit: Aaron’s sass is killing me 😂 being attacked by the bushes on the path/tying back your hair and a few other things. I’M LOVING THE TREES AND YES IM SHOUTING BECAUSE I’M SO HAPPY TO SEE THEM! Thank you 😊 I have been pausing to look and appreciate what else is in the background.
I've been watching your channel since you moved into your new/current home. I remember when there was nothing at all in some of the areas and you planted and planted and planted. Now look at those areas. All filled in and gorgeous. It's really amazing to see the transformation. Bravo for you, Laura and Aaron.
Indeed amazing & inspiring with the transition watching last 3 years to wow. WOW now with the new water feature to Hartley area all fantastic!!! Remembering initially the barren large "new land" & planting the row of driveway trees! What a difference in short 2 seasons!! A great tour ending with the Loop entry now october '23 Garden recap just wow amazing!!! Cheers to L & A & family & felines as well !!
First, I'm so happy for you and your family. What an amazing blessing of a home you're creating. I'd never want to leave if that was my property; who needs a vacation when you're living in one? Second, in my humble opinion, don't hide the barn. I think barns are so beautiful and bring such a lovely presence. I say add a few evergreens, but don't completely block the barn. Of course, you always make amazing design choices, and it's your home, so you do you! 😂
I had the exact same thought as Laura was standing there talking about it! Do "add a few evergreens, but don't completely block the barn." I think that would be wonderful. Like she said, the barn is great and the windows help the side of the barn have interest. So it would be a shame to completely block that...but that is only my very humble opinion.
Why did I know Aaron was going to say something about that pathway. I laughed out loud. I love how he had the camera hitting the branches. I love it. You made my day!
Spectacular late fall garden! What amazing beauty! You've planned the placement of plants so harmoniously! Russell & Douglas were absolute delights throughout this video. What charmers!
Should I say thanks to Douglas for this video. He follows Laura every time. Aaron, I knew you were going to make your sway with that shrub growing into the pathway. Thanks guys. You all are the best.
The good news is that Laura put some shoes on after the rain shower. Yes, Jose and his team are true artists and skilled workmen when putting the paths in and the brick work they have done over the years. No wonder they are always busy.
What a remarkable fall tour!!! Such a variety of plants and fall colors. As always your plant name recall is amazing. And your enthusiasm is sooo catching. Aaron’s camera skill is so professional and “unintrusive”…. adds so much to the viewing pleasure. You are such a natural spokesperson. Editing is so polished….Ken’s touch?. I love that you tell us you need to adjust where certain plants are located. This has happened to me. I've wondered if I just didn't think through the plants needs. Guess it happens to everyone.
🌻Good morning Laura and Aaron and all friends around the world. Your garden paradise looks better and better no matter the season. And future planning over the winter months, well, I can’t wait to see what transpires🍂. I hope everyone has a safe and happy new week, and thank you again Laura and Aaron. 🎃🍁🍂🧡☕️
What a treat! A full garden tour...the last one of the season. It's amazing how much is still blooming and beautiful. With the fall foliage in the background, against the dramatic dark skies...stunning! The sumac looks like it's on fire...what brillance. Your hard work has paid of in an abundance of beauty! Thank you. 😊
Wow, your end-of-October garden is absolutely stunning! The vibrant fall colors and the way you've arranged your plants are just mesmerizing. Thanks for taking us on this beautiful tour.
I love how the kitties stole the show. Those planters by the front door are phenomenal. It made me sad to think that such robust coleus plants will soon be gone.
Laura pulling on that carrot and the look of disappointment saying “ oh that one’s so short , I thought it would be much bigger “ has me howling ! All the ladies watching “ same girl same “
I remember a lot of conversations in the past about one day, moving, possibly moving, you never know where will end up, that property of yours is absolutely beautiful in every way and checks every box. Please never leave. I love these videos and I love watching the creativity from both you and Aaron.
I still remember the South Garden looking like the surface of Mars. It looked so hopeless. Now it turned into an oasis. A PARADISE! It's my favorite spot aside from the pond area. ❤️❤️❤️ Douglas is so adorable. 🐈⬛
I was so happy to see the gardens around the house. You have done so much these last few years away from the house, it’s nice to see the gardens that started it all. ❤
Great garden tour and so much beautiful interest. The spaces are coming together so nicely. I think you should take some of those tiger eye sumac suckers and plant them out on the new property. Visually, it would be stunning out there.
Great tour! I loved watching the cats especially Douglas. He REALLY wants to get your attention, which maybe why he gives you swipes...needs some pets!
What a beautiful garden. I get so much inspiration for my yard from you and Aaron. I love that Douglas just follows you every where! It just shows how much he loves you all and how starved for love and attention he was before he found you all. He doesn’t want to leave your sight so you can’t leave him! Animals are amazing. Very beautiful!
Wow! Right off the top. I love how you finished out the edges of the four quadrants in front of the hartley. I've been sitting on the edge of my seat for months now hoping it would look exactly like that. Beautiful work as always. Your crew has always been so amazing. As a handyman I love collecting the names of the top Craftsman in my area. I always pass their names on to my clients and never have a disappointment. I hate to say it but you're going to have to pass their names on some people in your area. I know you have been reluctant to do that but it's a wonderful service to pass on. Not only are you helping your friends and neighbors but also the crew that does the work is gaining job security. They obviously love their work.
I’m pretty sure Pedro & his crew have a lot of job security, I think it’s taken a lot longer to button up that area than Laura had wanted and planned for due to his busy schedule but - all good things take time. 😊
What a treat to watch both you and Aaron, accompanied by your feline entourage, as you gave all of us the annual Autumn tour! The scattered toys here and there reminded us that two little people are enjoying this wonderland you've created for them to grow up in. Including Benjamin's little flower stand was too precious. The weather today, rain break and all, was perfect for the Autumn tour reminding us that winter and snow are around the corner and the next tour will be of a "winter wonderland."
I love the barn. It is a great structure and nod to the history of the place. Absolutely move the budleia. It seems like it is a bully in that space and the little weeping evergreen is lost. Maybe something with larger leaves in its place. Great idea to do a fall tour to remember what you want to change and make plans for the next season.
I can't believe how full and beautiful this tour was so late in the season! Still with gorgeous color and I completely enjoyed seeing how playful and sweet the cats were. Douglas is very feisty but he really wants your attention. He followed you every step of the way. The pots at the entrance to the raised garden are splendiferous! The carrots are impressive! So glad you can still cook and eat them. Loved this entire tour! Hope you all have a wonderful day!💕
Good Morning! 🎃 I just love how everything is evolving! Love that Hartley pathway! A great October tour - really enjoyed walking with you through all the areas! 😃🥰🌲🍁🎃🍂💚🌿
You should drop their food close to the edge to train them to come to you. Then eventually put you hand with food into the water to get them to eat out of your hand. Eventually they will let you pet them!
With Aaron on removing the box wood hedge. I see the beautiful stone fireplace. I am thinking a fire, ice and water as an undertone of the tall tree. A beautiful high water fountain featuring gorgeous multicolored sculptured glass elements (ice) that will prism over the space with targeted accent lighting and dance with the flames of fire in corresponding four fire bowls on each side to draw you into the sitting space. And, I know that a few night-blooming flowers around the sides of the sitting space to create a moon garden would be luminescent in the moonlight! OOOLALA! I am there!
All I can say is Wow,Wow,Wow!!! So many beautiful areas! Just amazing 😍 It was cute when Russell got the zoomies. The cool weather probably brought that on, haha. Love the tour!
The Surefire begonias is the Persephone area planting I like the best during your time at this house; one plant/color is cohesive and a beautiful display.
I sure will miss seeing all those beautiful blooms. I am not a fan of winter. Aaron, you got your "dig" in for the day when you walked through those limbs, and then Laura got her "dig" in when she showed her Holly hocks.😂😂 I think Benjamin needs his own little garden space.😊 Your gardens were/are stunning!😊❤ I missed seeing your mom's garden this year, but I know she has a lot going on at her house. Now Aaron, it's time for the Christmas lights to go up. I brag to all my family and friends about how beautiful your Christmas light display is. So you and Paul work your magic on the lights.
I love seeing how you plan for the seasons. It reminds me to not just plant for summer flowers. The paths, both stone and grass are perfect. You’ve added so many improvements this year, especially when we remember where you started. Well done! I only wish you’d pet those cute kitties when they come by you. They love you so much. Have a blessed week and hug your babies! 💕
Aaron, this is for you. I really appreciate your videography. When Laura speaks about a plant or is looking a particular direction, you follow her gaze with the camera. It's like we're actually there with her. Seeing what she's seeing. You could teach some other RUclipsrs a thing or two.

I loved the stroll thru the willow... to prove his point😅
So funny when Aaron walked through the willow branches trying to prove his point. 😂
That was my favorite part of the whole video😂 him and his enormous strides 😅 love it!!!!!
28:53 Nice sass Aaron! ❤ 😝
Funny or passive aggressive?
Ohhh that made me laugh :)
It is..and my husband do it for me if not on his liking
I feel like Douglas supervised this episode. I love how he made sure you all did it right. And I fully belly laughed at the carrots.
Laura, Douglass is saying "Please pet me!!!!" Your cats are so adorable!
Laura, Douglas swipe at you because you have been ignoring him for a few minutes! 😂 pay attention to him… 😂❤🐈⬛😻
I LUV Douglas! Such a handsome fella, trying so hard to get Laura's attention! He loves her ☺️
Aaron was sassy the day this was filmed. He absolutely made me laugh so hard that I had to rewind the video to catch what I missed! The Tiger Eyes Sumac caught my eye from the house. Stunning!❤

Regarding the barn , I’d like to see an espaliered something on it.
Hes so fluffy!
Poor Douglas is dying for some love and attention from you and Aaron! As usual, I am always amazed how wonderful your property looks. Really enjoy your tours. Thank you for sharing.
The cold front has made Russell spunky!!! Thoroughly love when your cats take the full tour with you.🐈🧡 🐈⬛🩶
I love the good natured teasing Aaron does sometimes. It’s a hoot. Gorgeous garden tour. What a treat!!!!
Anyone else excited to see an hour + video. Coffee, bagel and blanket in hand.
Yes, totally love the long videos and appreciate that you took the time to make it before it’s gone for the winter.
Yes! This is the first chilly day, so hot tea and a warm blanket are perfect for watching a GA garden tour!
Amazing how great it still looks. I’m cleaning things up since the weather changed over night! Thanks for the tour
Always!
Oh my goodness, that cat 🤣 Douglas is so in love you with guys! Warms my heart that he picked you to be his family
Question… the roses by the pussywillow. I was thinking in you Rose tour you said they are Boscobel, but here you said Royal Jubilee.
Beautiful. I love Douglas getting his screen time. He shall not be ignored!!
Aaron's sense of humor is great.

I agree with Aaron on removing the old boxwoods at the fireplace. Maybe install hydrangeas like towards the house for a softer look. Amazing tour.

Absolutely gorgeous garden tour, so much color! Kudos to Douglas because he stuck it out with y’all from beginning to end! Gotta love Douglas🖤🤍🩶

The color of the sumac is absolutely stunning!!!
Such great videography and sound. Such a total pleasure to watch!
Like that the camera man is asking you questions. That helps. I love what you've done to the property. Amazing.
Douglas needs his own channel. So cute!
Russell and Douglas really enjoyed the garden tour. They were hilarious 😂
