I grew up in a home that wasn’t “Christ” centered, as did my children, and we all turned out pretty well. That being said, it is apparent that your parents lead by example and you grew up in a home filled with love. It was fun to see how much you look and act like your dad.

I watch Sandy Brock. She raises sheep and her husband farms land near Ontario, Ca. I was there when I was 15, too. I went on a 2200 mile bicycle trip through Canada with a group called De cycles for Christ. I was a long way from home and all the Canadians we met made us feel at home along the way. I live in Texas. It was in the mid 70s when we did that land some of the kids, I kid you not, thought we still got around with horses and wagons. They thought we wouldn't know how to ride those fancy 10 speed bicycles that we all rode. Ha! Isn't that the funniest thing???🤣
I appreciate his willingness to give your mom the credit she deserves is helping build the garden center and with being the disciplinarian in the family. 😊

This made me smile and tear up at times. I was 23 when my dad passed, he was only 53. I’d give anything to sit and chat with him. Only thing missing from this was a wedding photo of him and your mom when he was describing their courtship ❤

I love the part where your dad said your mom and him were together and not apart after their first date and married 7 months later. My husband and I were very similar. Six weeks after our first date we were engaged and married 7 months later. Fast forward 46+ years, Five kids and eight grandkids later!! Enjoy your channel very much!!

Laura, I lost my Dad a few years ago. Hearing you and your dad’s conversation really made me miss mine. I think my Dad would have liked your dad. One of my favorite things to do was to hear my dad’s thoughts on things. He had so much life experience, wisdom, knowledge, and frankness…. Just like your Dad. This made me smile and tear up at times. I was 23 when my dad passed, he was only 53. I’d give anything to sit and chat with him. Only thing missing from this was a wedding photo of him and your mom when he was describing their courtship ❤
Be proud of your father. He's very well-spoken but is able to convey his thoughts in plain speak. He's direct which is always admirable to me. I love the part where your dad said your mom and him were together and not apart after their first date and married 7 months later. My husband and I were very similar. Six weeks after our first date we were engaged and married 7 months later. Fast forward 46+ years, Five kids and eight grandkids later!! Enjoy your channel very much!!
