    • @coloradodirtbike5930
      @coloradodirtbike5930 Год назад

      Pink oyster should be 70-90 range fruiting and the chest nuts are 50-75. So if you fall 70 or better you shouldn't have a problem to fruit them at same time in same environment. The chestnuts are a lot longer to colonize and fruit, maybe that's your issue?

    Hi Mike, thanks for such informative videos. I've been following your channel since quite some time now. I've installed a small farm in India consisting of 2 environment controlled rooms to grow button mushrooms (each room can accomodate 2000 x 10kg bags)
    The aircons installed in both the rooms are capable to bring down temperature to 16°C.
    Now, I want to grow exotic mushrooms (other than Button and Portebellos). Is it possible to grow several varieties of mushrooms (Shiitake, King Oyster etc) in same room without making partitions ? If yes then what all varieties can I grow which can flourish in 16°C + temperature and commonly available substrate ?
    Lastly, I don't have autoclave. Is there any other way to sterilize substrate ?

    • @djEddieCutlass1

      Look up Paul Stamets book on growing gourmet and exotic mushrooms. It’s full of detailed information and Mike even mentions it in earlier episodes. Between Mikes videos and that book, it’s been helping me learn a lot about what works and what doesn’t when growing mushrooms.
      To answer your question: all species like different temperatures when in different stages of growth. I would keep the buttons separate from the other species.

      Morels are mycorrhizal mushrooms meaning they require symbiosis with certain plant roots in order to function properly. This makes them very difficult to farm indoors, and most morel "farms" are outdoors in the vicinity of the correct plant species. The types of mushrooms grown indoors are saprophytic, meaning they don't require a host plant and can grow on any dead organic matter like wood chips, rice hulls, grains, etc.

      The problem will be the size of your tent. If your tent is to big and your fogger to small it will run 24/7 and probably flood/soak everything. Or never reach the target RH. Which means no, to little amount of pins.

      @@BaltimoresBerzerker I have a 7x7x8 tent and had a one disc fogger from an old/smaller set up. I tried it in my new tent and could only reach 50-60% RH. I use a ten head fooger now, works great. I'm sure the reptile fogger is a single disc to, so it probably won't work. It's not that hard to make a fogger tote. If you're not able to hook your tote up to your water line for the house, you will need to make a refill bucket with a float so it keeps water level constant. When piping the fog into your tent use PVC not air ducting.
