A close look at the androgenous individual shows: (1) it is wearing a turtleneck-like garment underneath the outer garment; (2) the only hair visible are the very thin eyebrows -- does not even have eyelashes; (3) distance from the bottom of the nose to the upper lip is greater than normal (even with larger lips it is greater); (4) the ear shape seems to indicate that audible communication is secondary (probably telepathy being the primary method).
