@@2218alex I see the heat pump side but the intriguing thing about mining is that it can produce large amounts of heat, and creates passive income. A heat pump is not steadily accruing a passive outcome outside of an installation that may boost value of the house.
Not to mention if you have an energy collective for a power supplier that offers lower power costs during non summer months. 😊 I've been enjoying 6-8¢/kWh since October while getting extra value from using the rigs as heaters.
I set up a node and put my G1 Minis on MWC solo to my node. I only have 4 cards in my GPU rig which I only run at night when the power is cheaper, so I made a script mime differnet things on differnet days. It's cycling RVN, MEOWC, NEOXA, DYNX, KAS+ZIL

Awesome video!! Almost done with my bag of Kaspa then might move all rigs to flux unsure right now have cpu on rtm. Did you see the new mini doge miners coming out?
Hi Hobby Miner! Just set up my Ipollo G1 Mini and Evergreen starter set with 16 TB Chia Hard Drive. Have you looked at Chia? Thinking about converting one of my Helium miners to mine Crankk. Have you heard about that project! Thank you! I enjoy your channel! Gary
Totally Agree. The last year was a perfect storm. Not only did the Ethereum Merge happen and GPU Miners Profitability virtually disappeared overnight. Add on the Recession, Inflation and current Economy. The word Profitability is almost unheard of. Appreciate the comment.
For me its only Erg on the mining rig as one of my psu's is on the blink, once thats replaced again i will go back to flux for a while. And the gaming pc mines new coins when im not gaming on it
Continuing to mine flux on my 10 gpus and in the last month bought one sc box II one ck box II one kd box II one sc box and two used hs boxes all in my apartment
@The Hobbyist Miner it's a straight shot through my living room so I Crack my balcony door and crack open the windows on the other side and it works well and it's cold up here in Washington state
This might be a dumb question, but I know you said your electric rate is $0.07 is that your generation rate of $0.07? Or is that the rate you are paying after PP&L hits you with their distribution charge?
@@TheHobbyistMiner that is definitely an amazing price. I'm not using 1\4 as much energy as you, and Met-Ed has a lot less options to choose from when it comes to generation suppliers versus ppl. But it is what it is, once the warm weather gets here, my rigs will be going off unless something becomes profitable
Im currently mining Dogecoin with my 5 GPU rig along with CPU and my Gaming Rig while not gaming plus my sha-256 USB Compacf and newpac via Unminable. currently looking at some ASICs but looking at the lower power consumption as its a hobby and paying 36cents for power. I did conflux the other week but does use power and the few coins I made didn't make it to my wallet and lost it.
Great video Hobbyist, I am currently mining with unmineable and getting paid out in flux. I’d like to get a flux node up and running but it’s gonna take a while to hit 1000 flux. I also ordered an sc-box from goldshell so I should be getting that soon.
@@TheHobbyistMiner I was mining flux until the halving but then I did the math and I actually made more flux (about 30% more) mining kawpow to unmineable and getting paid out in flux even with the parallel assets.
For me in Europe I can only mine Kaspa but still cost me 10 to 15 dollar loss per month. I hope the coin will make up for it in future… Flux mining in Europe is not possible when you pay the daily energy price (35 to 65 cent per KW) You better off building a Flux Node and invest in the 1K collateral Flux coins ;) My rig is a 4x 1660 ti and super and runs on 177 watt on Kaspa 1.035 Gh.

you have no idea what you are talking about, very clear with the interview wit SOT
Mining isn't dead if you live in a seasonal winter climate, or any other cold climate requiring heat generation.
It's a great idea to repurpose that heat!
When you have a heat pump its way more efficient than mining.....sorry guys but heating is a wrong reason to mine.

Nice review, I've been pointing rigs to Kaspa, along with Flux. Watching cash flow, so the lower draw is appealing.
Smart to watch that Cashflow and make good choices.

If I wanted to mine Flux what setup do you recommend for a powerful unit?
I'd look at the 3070s, 3080s or even 3080 TIs. The hashrate the 3080s are putting down is impressive.
Unmineable is pretty cool. Right now I use two jasminer 520m/h to mine Shiba inu directly to a trezor wallet.
