- This is a guide on how to get Otto the ottuk mount. This is a secret mount that was recently discovered. It will require you to obtain a gold coin of the isles to trade in for an immaculate bag, this bag will have the Aquatic Shades in.
The shades will allow you to get the empty barrel which you will fill with Frigid Floe Fish, Calamitous Carp and Kingfin the wise whiskerfish. Once done you return the barrel to where you found it and you'll receive Otto!

Hey everybody! Quick tip for those who decide to go for the fishing route instead of the harpoon route. I noticed that with high perception, i sometimes got 2 bronze coins while fishing. So I though i might give it a go, and drank a Phial of perception and it actualy worked. Because of my high perception I sometimes even discovered 3 coins in 1 go. I know its a simple tip but hope I helped a few out :)

I had the 100 fish farmed at the Tuskar village but it got a little late so I logged out and wanted to do the other farming the next day. When I logged back in the bucket and my 100 fish were gone. going to the dancespot with the shades doesnt give me the cutscene to the bucket anymore. basicly stuck now with this mount :( .. hope others wont make the same mistake. better farm it all in one go
Send a ticket! They should be able to fix that for you in a bit!
@@ohpaddy good one haha, wrote a ticket about something else ~10days ago and the initial wait time was 7 days and 9 hours or something. Not that that's redicilous enough, i haven't even gotten an answer and the time went up to 10 Days 16 Hours as of writing this.
@@CarolinDnB I had to put in a ticket for a Mekgineers Chopper that disappeared from my bag during a server crash. It took 3 weeks and multiple tickets, but, I did finally get someone who understood what the issue was and they fixed it. Sometimes it just takes persistence and patience.
They must have heavily nerfed the coin drop rate from fishing. I did this a couple days ago and I had the khazgorite fisherfriend at max craft level with the best perception enchant possible. I did about 10 solid minutes of casts between maybe about 25 pinches kills(so about 250 minutes of straight of casting, ~4 hours and some change), then the entire time farming the fish to put in the barrel, and I got a grand total of 3 copper coins in all that time. I was at 100 fishing for about 85% of this, max perception currently possible minus the phial. The only possible way to do this now without driving yourself insane is farming pinches, he has a chance to drop silver coins, that's where I got my gold coin from.
I fished up a gold coin and got the shades all completely randomly. Had no idea there was more to it. Thanks for the video I’ll definitely be doing this
i literally did it the first day when i got 100 on fishing lmao. i joined a group that was harpooning today everyone saying "u need coins for the new mount, 75 coppers" and i was like oh really? and started farming. now i realized that u need the shades i have from day 1 lmfao. got the achievement of fishing with 10 people so worth it
Yeah I had farmed for like 2 hours total and one day, I got 2 gold coins in one cast on like my 5th one. So happy lol.

I love this hidden mounts! I never do them, but I really love that they exist.
I got so lucky with this. Got a gold coin first time i fished and had no clue what to do with it, then i seen this video and thought sure lets get a mount. Got all the fish quick as even the epic fish was caught within 10 casts. very cool mount, love the swim speed on it too.

Great guide! Took me about 2 hrs after getting shades to get all the fish. Most of that time was on the last one, since I was pretty unlucky. I was sweating because I finished with only 20 mins to reset. I was so afraid I would lose my barrel if I didn’t turn it in before then!

Great Video! Quick tip on getting Kingfin at the end. Put your shades on. I fished for like 30 minutes with nothing. Read somewhere about having the shades on and once I put them back on, got it in 5 casts.

This is my new favorite mount! So cute with the cool shades! I did this in one evening. With the Fishing Frenzy world quest active, I joined a lunker harpoon group and got 3 silver coins and several copper coins in about 2 hours (I already had 1 silver and some coppers from random world pickups). Took me 20mins to get the 100 fish in Iskaara, 15mins to get the 25 in lava, and was super lucky to get the epic fish on the first hook in Algethar. I was at 100 fishing (+fishing buffs), phial of perception, and shades on.
thank you so much this was hugely helpful. For me the coin was the easy part as I got lucky in my first few days in the expansion and fished one up. Weeks later Still haven't fished another despite spending many hours fishing!

I love when stuff like this gets discovered. That people are playing the game other than to push gear/rating in PvE/PvP.
Yeah. I play hard. Renown. Fishing. Achievements. Then I take the gold and buy a carry. In and out for the story, gear, mounts, etc. but not there for the toxic push

Thanks for the great video. I decided I would go to the spot where the rare spawns and fish between summoning it. I bought 10 of the elusive crabs from the auction house. After killing the rare the 8th time I got a gold coin, so I didn't spend much time at all fishing for the copper coins. It was awesome!!

Wen't pretty smooth for me, started with zero fishing skill but a rod that gave me +19 skill. Took me about 3 hours to get everything. Now I am maxed out on fishing and have a new cute mount. Marvelous.

The Fishing Profession rare in the Forbidden Reach drops a coin per kill. You can summon it in every 6-10 mins with the item Elusive Croaking Crab from the AH. Also is worth noting that it can drop more than 1 coin per kill. It also has a small (3-5% chance, my guess after summoning in 100) chance to drop silver coins and even smaller gold coins (my guess 1% or less)

a helpful hint is to grab the addon better fishing this allows you to cast and gather with a single button

Thank you for the fishing macro!! I learned about the interact key fishing during pre-patch but was bummed when it started saying I needed to be closer to interact, I thought blizzard broke this easy fishing for good

Buy some Elusive Croaking Crabs off the AH they're like 700g per. Or fish them from the forbiden reach. Get like 20-40 of them and go spawn Sir Pinchalot every 6 min for a almost guaranteed drop of copper coins, low chance of a silver coin and very low chance of a gold coin straight away. You can fish while waiting for the basket to spawn Sir Pinchalot respawns. This way I got 7 copper coins, and 3 silver ones. Then suddenly I got a gold one and all the previous farming was for nothing, but still fun!! The best method that is not bad, it costs only 26 000 gold! Everyone have 26k if you do something other than sit in Valdrakken 24/7

My perception bonus had me find 2 silver coins at the fishing pool so it's worth getting the best fishing tool posiible xx
'BetterFishing' - addon that allows you to bind your fishing AND interact to the same button.
That way, you can use the same button for both fishing and catching the fish.

Got this today, super easy. Already fished lots of bronze/silver coins when doing the lurkers achievements. Took less then a hour to get the mount being lucky with drops. Got the epic item on 2nd cast. Good luck all :)

10 months later, 500 casts week and still cant catch him.
If you use an oversized bobber, the interact key will be more reliable but still won’t be 100 percent but much higher than a standard bobber. You probably have one in your toy box but if you don’t, you can buy bobbers ( not toys) in stacks of five in the Tuscarora village.
Also, if you use a vendor-purchased oversize bobber 100 times, you will get the permanent toy for free.
everybody, please check if you have the shades before spending 20 hours farming for the coins to buy a gold coin. I didn't get one in my first (and only) gold bag because apparently i already had the toy learned and didn't realize it.

i was using flask of perception 3 stars and i got 1 frigid dloe fish per cast
dont know if it helped but im sharing anyway
use the fish that give u a plus in fishing and use the Draconium Fisherfriend tool you can buy from the auction house and apply Nightcrawlers. Then put the sunglasses on and fish aroundthe fishing spot where 2 dragons are fishing near academy down the waterfall a lil. Then fish and i got the king fish in about 12 casts
Took me just over a hour and a half to get all the fishing done already had all the stuff before that like the gold coin.

i got my shades toy on and im dancing but there is no debuffs or anything? i reloaded and exited the game and came back but it doesnt seem to be working for me. Do i have to stand somewhere specific on the dance pad? awesome vid btw :)
so i put the shades on at the pad had the de buff on. it didn't teleport me back and when i went to check there was no barrel help
Great guide, tyvm. I just got Otto. The last fish is a bit annoying as there's no progress to follow. Either you get it or you don't. That said it only took me about 15 mins. Fished up loads of recipes and mats along the way! As an edit: I've been wearing the shades all week just thinking they were a cool toy lol.
Anybody know the macros to reset changes made for fishing? Tried setting both to 0 but I find I'm still targeting stuff randomly.

I got the Kingfin fish on my First Cast :D
As a holy paladin, I dropped a Light's Hammer down on the spot, jumped in, healed to full, bubbled, then started the channel. I got it just before I died. A small price to pay.
Somehow the macros wont work. it casts thew fishing rod out fine, but when a fish bites and i press the button it just recasts the rod.
Does anyone have a solution for that?
