Thanks so much! I bought a ton of crabs and got my gold coin and shades so fast. I was farming tackleboxes for days and this method is by far the fastest and most efficient way to get Otto.

Great tip farming Sir Pinch a Lot! Worked like a charm. After a few hours I had fished up almost enough copper and silver coins to buy a gold. Then with only a few more to go, he dropped a GOLD coin for me! Great advice.

Ty for the guide! I got it on my 15th kill, not too bad. I was just about to log off for the night and thought let me turn off WM real quick and summon again, and that final kill dropped the gold coin :)

Okay so I just got this mount after spending pretty much all day on it lol. So here’s a few things I learned. The crab method is absolutely the best way, even if you’re having terrible rng.
Just buy the crabs you need to spawn Sir Pinchalot from the AH, they’re like 24g each. Seriously, I fished up literally one in the entire time I was doing this.
Just fish in between spawns and hope you get some extra coins while you’re waiting. His respawn timer is between 5-10 min.
The Sunglasses toy is NOT a 100% drop chance, but it is very high apparently.
If you don’t get the “dance, dance till you’re dead” debuff when you’re underwater, just swim away a little ways then turn around. The NPC will say something to you if you’ve done it correctly.
First fishing spot took me about 30 min, second one took about the same, and for the epic fish, I got it on my 4th cast lol.
Don’t get discouraged if your rng is awful like mine was, I literally got 2 silver coins and the rest were just copper. Plus 2-4 from fishing. Very stressful lol.

I mean 150 casts now with 110 fishing and the only thing I have caught is trash and 3 scalebelly mackerels
On my server the Crabs were 600+G each when I bought em and 400g each when I sold em😅

respawn time of the crab cage is about 5 to 7min, i do recommand do the crab i got a gold coin after the 3th kill :D, in silvermoon you can buy the elusive croaking crab for about 660g ;)

I got stupid lucky first fishing pool i saw when i got off the boat to dragon islands was the Shimmering Treasure pool first cast golden coin and went and got the shades i dint even know what they where like cool toy ok :) later saw the mount in some videos and was like how to i get that. Never ever i have had this good luck on anything in wow. It was the first week when it game out so i dint know.

How long does the box take to respawn? Can I just buy a bunch of the Crab on the AH and spawn over and over again?
I'm not sure about the box respawn timer but I don't think it's too long it was always up again by the time I got another crab. And yes you can spawn the crab as many times as you want per day and still get chances at coins.

So i fish when im bored sometimes, no more then 5-10 minutes, just last night hit 100 fishing in dragonflight. But somewhere along the way i looted a gold coin of the isles. Wasnt aware of when, kinda just kept fishing lol. But is that just extremely lucky or normal?

wat kind of +fishing gear do you use, you find way more "rare" items than i do when fishing. Guide?
I used the underlight angler fishing pole from legion for this mount.

With the emtpy crap trap "trick" i bought the epic item on the AH and farmed the CRAB (the NPC Rare has a about 5-8 minute Timer). Fishing did NOTHING to me. I could get otto in 6-8 hours. Thanks for the tips and locations.

This made it a lot faster to get coins but I have had 5 Immaculate Sacs and still not got the shades. Is there some prerequisite to get the shades that I am missing?
I don't know if there is a prerequisite but if you haven't already maybe you should complete the campaign.
@@magicgnome I opened one more sac without any luck then decided to give up for now. I have been reading everything online then saw a comment that someone got a gold coin then the shades randomly and didn't know what they were. I checked my collection and I had the shades the entire time. I probably got it back in December when I was fishing hardcore and didnt know the shades were for anything.

I don't believe that there are any prerequisites for it. I do know that it is on a really low chance from fishing unless you fish in the treasure pools. So maybe the RNG isn't in your favor today. I hope you get more luck soon thanks for watching and have a great day!

Fished 20 minutes, got 2 Sir Pinchalot things and a gold coin from the second one. Previously fished 2 days in row with a pandarean fishing rod and got nothing

The coin will only drop if you summon the rare yourself so that you have the summoner's luck buff.

You’re lucky then because I’ve killed him 25 times so far and only gotten copper. Fishing in between the spawns has only gotten me 2 extra copper coins and I’ve only signed up one single crab lmao
I guess there is still a bit of rng tied to it but at least you are getting some coins. I hope you get the mount soon.
