I LOVE the fact that they are switching up the set list on this tour a lot more than I can ever recall! I've always hoped that they would do more of that as well as come up with some interesting segues and medleys. The shows on this tour have actually been way better than both the 60th anniversary tour in Europe and the 2021 U.S. No Filter tour! I am LOVING IT!! 👍👍❤️❤️
I attended the Atlanta show and during the quiet part of MR he sang a little of Robert Johnson’s “Hellhound On My Trail,” which I thought was brilliant. Also, I think our “Gimme Shelter” was the tour’s best. It even got me misty-eyed, that’s how good it was. Overall, I was really impressed with how much bite the guitars had. Both Keith and Ronnie sounded great. It sounded just like a rock and roll should.
Nice recapt 👍 The Philadelphia concert 💎 is amazing 🙆♀️ those old guys are still fantastic 💥 formidables 🌟 Jagger 👑♥️ running as a younger man 🔥 He's the best showman of World 🌎 Thanks to Hang Fire for sharing ✌️👌👍👋👋
Oh No!!!! Sweet Sounds of Heaven removed!!!I love that song. I was so looking forward to it in Santa Clara. I sure hope it comes back on the set list. The band sounds amazing, and Mick is absolutely unreal! God bless these fantastic men. Thank you for the updates. Love your content!.
I worried Mick wasn't feeling well cause one of the assistants came up to Keith after his second song and they exchanged a few words. To my relief Mick appeared out of darkness for the SFTD and absolutely killed it!
Mick was amazing and The Stones electrified Atlanta 🔥….Sweet Virginia was a great surprise as was Dead Flowers but heck yeah 3 songs by Keith was the night’s highlight!! 🎸
Nice Job HF, these guys are truly hard to believe, its Peter Pan syndrome, never grow old. You can hear the band is gelling better and better with each show, I'll bet they extend the tour and take it to Europe. Cheers to you.
Have viewed all of your updates. fun to follow! We saw them in Foxboro, Fabulous show. Midnight Rambler was the high point for me. Sweet Sounds of Heaven really gets to me. I was disappointed my two friends who were at the Philly show missed the chance to hear it. I wonder how temporary/permanent the drop is? I was thrilled Keith sang Little T&A and Tell me Straight in Foxboro line up. I am jealous of my friends who heard him sing the 3 songs in Philly. I hope Time is On Their Side and the second half of the tour goes as well as this first half.
I must confess, I was a little worried about Keith at the beginning of the tour with his one song and (judging by the videos I've seen) lack of movement - but he now seems back on top form! Hope he's lost that horrible beanie hat for good though, haha!
Danke für die gute Zusammenfassung.. muss mir unbedingt die noch fehlenden Songs anhören, die ich aus Zeitmangel nicht geschafft habe... Scheint ein sehr erfolgreiches Concert gewesen zu sein...🎶🔝...
I love it. This may be one of their greatest tours. Every time I sample a concert or a song from the tour, I am overwhelmed. But then again I have never followed like this, concert by concert, before. I wonder if an album will come out of it. With all the RUclips videos, does an album even have to come out? Will it add anything? Rhetorical questions of course.
great summary! keith wrote and performed great songs. One of my favorite of his is "Coming Down Again" from Goats Heads Soup but Happy stands as his greatest hit!
Great report as always. If Mick is going thru voice issues, then I can understand Keith doing 3 songs. But it doesn't seem to be the case. Mick seems in great form - vocally and in performance. Perhaps as you said, he's being extra precautious. In any case, dropping Sweet Sounds Of Heaven is a HUGE disappointment. They didn't move it from the encore position - they REMOVED it, to add another warhorse. For me, I'm more than happy with two Keith songs live. 3 is a bit much and Happy is a warhorse - his best most famous song, but no need for it in this tight setlist of 18 - 19 songs. I guess I won't be seeing my vision of Sweet Sounds of Heaven live at The Grammys and then they win for it, as they show the current music world what real live organic rock music is supposed to be about. Again, The Stones giving up on their new material to include another warhorse, that frankly has been done to death, and will not be performed as well as their golden age. You really think the new live version of Happy compares to the classic performances of it. C'mon. Very best, Alan
I'd like Keith to do three if it included Thru & Thru, or You Got the Silver, or This Place is Empty, but I don't need Happy. Connection was cool in 2006.
@@johnryan3913 No doubt that Happy is his signature song and amongst the greatest Stones songs ever, in m opinion. With that said, I also don't need to hear it anymore. I'm with you. Two songs is enough, but if doing three, then I'm with you.
I imagine they have a good reason for not doing Sweet Sound, but it's a shame, this song is a modern classic👌🏻👌🏻. And it was perfectly placed in the setlist.
IORR reviewers for Atlanta suggested Mick maybe had some vocal issue but wasn't much. Someone noticed Bernard putting in great work sorta covering a bit for Mick. I was in the rafters and am not an audiophile anyway. Still delivered a great show.
I've seen every U.S. tour since 1975 and was in Philly on the 11th. To me, Keith seemed markedly better than he has the past few tours - his singing was stronger, he played more and made fewer mistakes. It could be giving up the cigarettes a few years back, but whatever it is, it's reassuring to see and hear.
With Sweet Sounds Of Heaven out, that means Mick only sings two songs from Hackney Diamonds. That's kinda a bummer. I'm no vocalist so I don't know if Sweet Sounds Of Heaven is a difficult song to sing, seems like it maybe could require more effort than other songs. If that's the case why not switch it out with a different Hackney Diamonds songs? Anyway, it's cool that Keith did three songs. I wish he'd preform Theif In The Night, long shot I know but it's such a great song. Anyway, thanks for the update.
Maybe Mick was having an off night vocally and since he picks the setlist didn't think he could pull it off as an encore. But it's by far the best song they've done since the classic years.
@2v_5r84 Huh? Didn't say that at all. LOVE Happy. Just suggesting that if they are going to do 3 Keith songs then Ooh La La would be a great song to showcase both Ronnie and Keith. Happy should always be played if that's a cut Keith wants to play that night.
Let's face it. Keith is playing well currently but at some point his arthritis is going to get the best of him. Ronnie should already be playing a bigger guitar role with Keith playing when he wants to. He really is starting to lose the ability in some shows to carry the whole song. Just something I notice as a guitar player. But Ronnie always defers to Keith. And that's probably how it will be until the end. Keith is 80 and his fingers are totally gnarled and Ronnie probably suffers from Wet Brain. At least when he's talked for decades he really doesn't form complete sentences. He took it to the edge with drinking and freebasing cocaine.
I was at the Philly show. This review isn't totally accurate. Keith was hit and miss. He is clearly having some issues with the fret hand. He was amazing on Midnight Rambler and Honky Tonk, but his solo on Sympathy was abysmal. Also, his intro on Paint it Black left a lot to be desired. I get it, he's 80 and I'd still rather see Keith at half power than any other rock guitarist, but he wasn't "absolutely delivering the goods." Great show, big crowd, everyone was happy. Mick was unreal. Amazing show overall.
I went to the Atlanta show and he definitely delivered the goods there. Maybe for the intro to Paint It Black he needs to sit like he does for Gimme Shelter.
@@janiceellery1653 Yeah. But Ooh La La is a huge hit and most people don't even know it's a Ronnie sung song. I can imagine the crowd singing along. Especially during a Keith set. Would fit in perfectly with those two singing it. I think it's probably Jagger holding it back. I had to double check and make sure it was Ronnie doing the vocals. Plus it's a Faces song and Jagger doesn't like Rod. Seven Days no one would know unfortunately and even I would rather hear a Stones deep cut. Even the 3rd Keith song. We Had it All sounds great when I saw Keith and Willie do it.
@@janiceellery1653 I guarantee that's the reason. Although I didn't think of it until a year ago. But Dylan insulted Jagger a few times. I'm sure he wouldn't touch a different cover than Like A Rolling Stone.
Best show!! They rocked Philly! We waited 44 years to see them again!
waited 32 years to see them.... finally did in Atlanta! 💜💜💜

Congrats!
Thank you Justin for the Stones tour date report. Always enjoy.

I always love to watch your updates. It is so relaxing and entertaining. Already hyped for the next one :) !

I was in the pit for the Atlanta show. I noticed no issues with anyone. Everyone seemed well, sounded great, and were having a great time.
Awesome 👍
I worried Mick wasn't feeling well cause one of the assistants came up to Keith after his second song and they exchanged a few words.
To my relief Mick appeared out of darkness for the SFTD and absolutely killed it!
Not only that he spun round lots of times as if to say ‘ I’m as fit as a fiddle ‘
If he wasn’t feeling well Mick would not have done those spins .
Justin what would we do without you! Been following the tour faithfully, saw them Metlife, Foxboro pit... wooohooo... thanx!
Lucky you! Thanks so much for watching 👍

I wish they would let Ronnie sing once in a while. I would nominate him to do Seven Days 😂
That'd be nice Janice 😊
The Cleveland show was great! I finally got to the Rock and Roll hall of fame too! Next up is sweet home Chicago!
Keith's guitar tone has been sick this tour, love it! Long may they rock. 🤟

An album would be good, but a DVD would be better... preferably another box-set like 'Four Flicks' and 'A Bigger Bang'!
I hope the release of the Racket Club from this fall is promising for a wave of Steve Jordan stuff. let's hope so!
