Next time so the leather can fit perfectly around the corners get a dish soap sponge and put water on it. Then squeeze it out but let it have a little bit of water still. And then wipe the entire leather with the sponge and it would stretch and look better on the door panels. That’s what my friend did on his 350z.
@@chrisnobles8114 nah bruh not hating or anything, just its not for me, hes trying soo hard. In my opinion i rather laugh with Sonny not laugh at him. Just how i feel. But yeah Homie is aight..
I can't sing enough praise for 3M Super 77 spray glue. I use it for all press-fit upholstery projects: especially subwoofer enclosures and guitar speaker cabs. It's critical to coat both the application surface and back piece of fabric. Let them both dry until your fingers don't pull up any glue (dry/tack, more than you might first think.) The magic happens when you join the two surfaces. The bond will be incredibly strong 💪 for years and years. The glue works great if you're going to make your own custom piping for furniture. Take a single 12 gauge speaker wire and glue it into a fold wrapped firmly around the round cable - leaving about an inch of a tail, Then glue the flat tail on the inside of the corners - before the main fabric pieces. I prefer this method because I don't like sewing machines at all.. and for upholstery fabrics a commercial/industrial unit is ideal; especially for leather and rubber backed carpet, etc * I don't work for 3M and this isn't a paid promotion. Also, sewing machines and I still don't get along 👊
You asked us to let you know what we think i like your channel but your door panels came out pretty bad not trying to be rude you probably should've watched a youtube video on how to do it and before anyone comes i re did my entire interior myself too in my car door panels included he could've done a better job
Just don't do the headliner, in the summer the liner will sag and you will end up tearing it off and the after result will look worse with glue residue suck to it.
Relief cuts on the hidden side will help you with those tough corners Sonny. Looks ok for now. But i love the thought. Yo does fabrics r us do online sales?
Sonny if you redo the door panels, make small small cuts the corners so it does not wrinkle. Quarter or half inch cut so it will fold over and not wrinkle
Drivers who compete in a league or exhibition in closed-circuits will remove passenger seats for the weight savings or as a requirement by race safety officials. A bucket seat, or race seat for Motorsports can be expensive, like a Recaro, but is critical if you're driving sideways on the highways or pushing every corner of a race track to it's limit. Without it the human body likes to slosh abruptly left and right during high lateral G-Force maneuvers. Most cars with an OEM seat and a shoulder/lap seatbelt can only hold you in place for so long depending on how well the seat contours wrap around you and on how the belt tensioner was designed. Professional race seats allow a 3-point or 5-point harness to be threaded through the seat itself and are key for the driver's safety, so are a mandatory in many flavors Motorsports. The harness ratchets down tightly and keeps the driver glued to the seat at all times. Racecars don't have airbags so whiplash or smacking your head into the steering wheel can prove fatal if a collision, malfunction or accident occurs at breakneck speeds. I hope this was helpful. Drive safe ✌️ 🏁
1.Canvas not leather. 2.You need to cut the material 1/4" bigger than what your applying it to. 3 you need to make relief cuts and use door panel staples. 4. When laying the material you need something that's solid like a small rolling pin to get out bubbles in the fabric, it also helps bond the fabric to the panel. I'm all for DIY but, you gotta use your head a bit and it never hurts to ask for help or recommendations on how to do it.
If you cut V shaped slits on the edge it will probably tuck better!!! just pull it back out and cut a notch between the creases to relieve the tension. I don't think you need to redo the whole thing, and you might not even need to pull it off.
Sonny I love your vids and channel bro but in MY OPINION (before everyone starts talking shit) I’m not feeling that Gucci at all the color doesn’t flow with the rest of the car maybe should of went with the black Gucci instead.. and for the door panels to get rid of those curves on the edges all you have to do is cut some slits to be able to work it better 👌👌
The longer the fabric the less wrinkled you could get you have to fold the extra fabric behind the panel does it matter if there's way too much extra trust me it will work
weird how the yards are much cheaper than buying something already fabricated or designed. But hey thats how it goes, its much cheaper to be creative and this is whats all about too. The lifestyle to me is to go out and fabricate your own progress and make it your own. To me thats the lifestyle of having a nice street model car.
This mans really started singing Gucci gang to not get copyrighted LOL

You should do that in the drift taxi (or skyline 4 door)
Quit waiting for parts... hit us up :)
Just go to Autozone or O'Reilly's...
Sonny you have to make little cuts on the fabric that you fold in the back. Specially were it curves on the corners
you botched that interior. DONT TOUCH THE RX7 LOL
Lol thanks for saying what I didn't want to 😅
this guy is prolly the most annoying illliminate member.

Good decision on the Gucci wrap. It’s a really nice accent to the black interior

I love Sonny's creativity and the fact that all of his projects come out fire makes it a 10 out of 10
I love how this guy has no clue what he is doing but he stays positive and doesn’t care
Cut straight lines where the material curves or when there’s a corner so it spreads along nicely
LEGEND OF THE YEAR
Gucci Gang Gucci Gang Gucci Gang!
I can't get over how good that flocked dash look
Sonny if you redo the door panels, make small small cuts the corners so it does not wrinkle. Quarter or half inch cut so it will fold over and not wrinkle
I’m a trimmer you should heat it before sticking down also pull on it to get the bubbles out
"black on black now all we need is the gucci wrap" 🔥🔥🔥
No cap that Gucci headliner look sick 👍. I’m totally doin this after I get my angle kit.
Hey sonny why do you have two different seats

Purposely holding off on watching the crews vids to stack them up and have a marathon😜😜😜😜
I wonder how long the fabric will last until it starts to crack? I want to do this so bad

When you wrap the leather around curves and corners, cut a bunch of slit around it and fold it over it will look much better and less wrinkles
Yooo sonnyyyyy how much for the rsx dude.... Let me know if ur down ....
That actually looks dope. My favorite Gucci print
like always It's Sonny gucci is on heat Bruhh can not wait for the next vids man have a great one
It’s lit you should work on your engine for your 240 like get a turbo
My boy had this back in 08 in his 08 Cadillac dts only thing that sucked is it cracked within a year had the whole truck ,seats ,dash and headliner
If you cut V shaped slits on the edge it will probably tuck better!!! just pull it back out and cut a notch between the creases to relieve the tension. I don't think you need to redo the whole thing, and you might not even need to pull it off.
Sonny is the best budget diy 😆
Looks good Sonny! on the doors you should have cut the material on the round parts so it lays out nice without wrinkles.
Hella lit episode🔥 Sonny, you pulled the Gucci on'em‼ 🙉 super fresh👏👌👍✊🤘😎✌
I have never realized how heavy sonny's accent is! Keep up the great vids man !
Looks good man, considering you’ve never done anything like that before I’d say you’ve actually done really well. Loving the content

When sonny started singing gucci gang hahaha!!!!!!!!!! my boi
I dig the diy for sure!! Although wouldn't a junkyard black interior been just as cheap As the dashpowder stuff, paint, glue, headliner etc??
Yo Sonny that Gucci though! It’s a wrap bro lol lookin super clean now 🔥🤘🏻💙
Where do you get your rear mirrors from? 😏
Looks dope. I feel like if you wrapped the plastic harness holes in your driver seat it would pretty good too.
My bog sunny got them lyrics black on black let’s hit it With di gucci wrap..
As usual your vids are fire thanks for going into so much detail with the amount of fabric used and sonny m8 you fn killed it
The longer the fabric the less wrinkled you could get you have to fold the extra fabric behind the panel does it matter if there's way too much extra trust me it will work
Rear part of the headliner already got some air pockets and starting to come down.
i love this channel, saves me from boredom
Wish come true... I was hoping you uploaded today Sonny
If you put the leather on water before putting it on the door you can make it strech.
The mirror 😱😂 The 240 is looking extra gucci now!
Does your flocked dash get real dirty?
This looks great Sonny!
I installed leather seats in cars for a little while. Use a hair drier or heat gun to stretch the leather.
And more vlogs on the rsx PLEASSEEEE 🤧
How can i get some of that gucci from where does she have a website where i can by some gucci interior
Dam sonny looks fire love watching your videos great way to start my birthday by watching your new videos yeee

What camera set up are you using ?
Collab with illuminate 🚗🔥🔥👌

Duke Nguyen maybe that’s why he said it??
Hahah that’s sick bro I’ve always wanted to do this to my integra Gucci gang Gucci gang !!
Bro how many supreme stickers did it take ????
Sunny you should have done the black Gucci man it would look so nice in that 240
You should have added some sound damping materials to the roof while the headliner was out.
I did a chevy Silverado with burberry and jousting knights. It's like a 5 star hotel every time you get in the car.
You did a great job young man!!! I'm a new subscriber!!!!!
should have cut lines around the edges that way its easier to maneuver and sits flush. good stuff
Don't forget to do the shift boot. Also if you made an extra I would absolutely buy it from you
