I’ve visited Shreveport/Bossier City, LA for 30 years and have always enjoyed watching the B-52’s taking off and landing at Barksdale AFB - the engine roar and black contrails at takeoff are breathtaking
That was NOT the B-52 crew hatch being shown (02:59) as the crew hatch is located under the NOSE of the plane and NOT on the AFT fuselage behind the wing flaps! The crew hatch also opens FORWARD towards the nose (01:20) and not backwards towards the fuselage.

@@its_leotran You are correct that a B-52 on a bombing run is vulnerable to supersonic fighter aircraft. HOWEVER when the BUFF is accompanied by concomitant American fighters of that era! The MIG-21 was vastly more vonerable. In point of fact, more BUFF’s were shot down by SAM Missiles than MIG-21’s
@@suzukiyesteryear Haha. Why don't you study. Mig21 eliminated B52 while B52 having many F4 Phantom fly right beside. So doesn't that means in any ways, the US lost miserably in the sky of Hanoi. Haha you, US, have to learn to accept the fact that you lost😂😂😂
@@its_leotran Obviously your view of history is not broadly focused. We could compare the incredibly massive number of Vietnamese who fell to the B-52’s bomb load, as opposed to actual planes lost to any weapons system. War, for the USA at least, is a profit based enterprise. The millions of Vietnamese slaughtered represents only an industrial driver for our economy. Haha you.

That must be nice!!💯
I was stationed there for 3 years in the early 80's. Those B52's are monsters.
This is the most iconic strategic best bomber since 50s era and still active on duty, so classic and powerful.
Saludos desde Colombia..... Sus documentales son muy interesantes.....

I liked this plane since i first saw it! ❤❤❤
Excellent, now show a super quiet one. ;-) ...without editing the audio.
The H model doesn’t use distilled water. The gs and ds did
خیلی خیلی عالی ❤❤❤از ایران
Impressive Video.👍🇺🇸
That was a great video!!!!
i dont think the Gs were around during the cuban missle crisis maybe a earlier model since the Ds were in Nam
The chyron noted that the B-52 holds 312,197 pounds of fuel. Since when do we use weight as a measure of fuel instead of volume? P

I read fast but nobody reads that fast, might want to add a few more seconds of viewing
You have a pause button on your remote. Press it…finish reading…press it again and away you go.
why dont they use battery powered screw driver instead of handheld
Danger of sparks, perhaps? Plus auger type wrenches are not rendered useless as when the battery goes flat on powered wrenches…

Still lose against Mig21😂😂😂
Apples and oranges…
@@suzukiyesteryear oh really. The US doesn’t tell you that B52 was eliminated by Mig21 in Vietnam War. Oh I know why, it was shameful. 😂😂😂
