I know you posted this a while ago, but thanks for this! Menards has these cabinets on display 10 feet off the ground and I didn't want to buy any without seeing how they're made and what the quality is.

So I'm trying to figure out how the performax 36x18x72 @ 191 lbs gross and 166 lbs just the cabinet can weigh 42lbs more than the husky 36x18x72 @ 124lbs ?? Same for the 48 inch cabinets at 44lbs more. How, just how is this possible?

In many reviews, metal garage cabinets like these are criticized for their lightweight metal gauge, leading to easy denting. How does Performax perform in this aspect?

I'm pretty happy with gauge. Powder coating is also very durable. I suppose if hit hard enough it would dent, but I haven't had any concerns or issues with mine

So the screws are on the outside? One could take it apart even when locked?

Garage cabinets are meant to keep dangerous chemicals away from kids and pets , if you want a safe then buy a safe

@@stevefavela9179 This. It's more of a deterrent. When someone sees inside my garage, I want them to see a few black cabinets, not all my expensive power tools on display on open shelves. Also keep in mind that storing/charging batteries in a metal cabinet is preferred. My co-worker lost his house to a fire started by charging an RC car battery on a wooden workbench. Protip: Don't store the flammables and the batteries in the same cabinet...
