My new favourite Christmas/revenge of the underdogs movie is "Riders of Justice" - in which a group of middle aged Danish nerds start a war with a vicious motorcycle gang as the result of a bicycle theft in Estonia. It's very dark but appeals to my twisted sense of humour.

It must be very hard to get a cat to say "free Palestine", I'm not surprised it didn't happen in the first take.
P.S.: I didn't mean to imply that cats are inherently zionist or anything

I found my 'Ullo John Got a New Motor?' picture disc last week.
I wondered had I sold it along with all my singles & soundtracks like a fool long long ago but no. I won't be parting with that, even though I gave away my turntable set-up long ago too. Well, if Alexei didn't have his own copy & needed one, I'd give it to Alexei naturally because after all it's his record isn't it but otherwise, I'm glad it showed up again after 25 years, & I remember how, when you play the picture disc on a turntable, it looks like Alexei is breakdancing on the plinth, splattered on the platter. I've got a record by Alexei Sayle. I've got a record by Alexei Sayle.

Thanks so much Alexei and Talal for introducing us to Jacqueline Rose, I’m totally in agreement with Talal I was transfixed for the entire interview, one of the most compelling interviews to date.

The interview with Jacqueline Rose was totally illuminating. It provided an analysis of the conflict in Gaza, free from emotion other than a felling for the common man how ever they are identified. It was also free from psycho-babble which made it made things completely comprehensible.

I'm watching this because of your Christmas broadcast. The psychology of the conflict in Gaza is a huge area that must be covered more fully. Thank you for your contribution Jacqueline Rose. Jewish philosophers and academics will be so important in healing wounds after this conflict and addressing the problems of indoctrination. I keep looking out for you Alexei on the marches to shake your hand. Alexei hurry up we need that answer you promised at the end of the podcast.

Thanks for an interesting podcast, I like the cut of Jacqueline Rose's jib, and the sound of those books she's written. Maybe because I'm a mother, partly, mostly because she's knowledgeable, interesting, as well as insightful and relatable.
It's never futile even if there are a lot of people who are difficult to deal with, (to put it mildly.) We are universal beings, beautiful animals, the living world is long lasting, and, if nothing else, humanity is coming together in it's heart, which is what matters. This madness can't last forever thankfully.

Alexei said he'd like us to think of ways he could focus on the video element of the podcast.
Im coming up to retirement, so, how about teaching us some tai chi or farang gong and maybe explaining what they are?

You two not mentioned Edward Woodwood as the original “Equalizer” in TV series from 1985? Shame on you.
Enjoying your blatherings, though. Happy new year.

On sexual violence. Not to say that it didn't neccesarily occur but at this stage there is actually no evidence, and there IS a lot a false narratives that have been shown to be false
otherwise Rose is very on point.
