I generally like the experts, but I think at this juncture in the program's history, they may need to try new therapists. It's a çrazy experiment, but it shouldn't have this percentage of failing results in the 8 week process at the very least.

I agree that you get way more out of the matchmaking show "after" you've gotten familiar with the cast. It's also helpful to get a peek at where they lived then vs. after moving to the shared apartments. Karla who's now virtually homeless lived in a beautiful hi- rise apartment (couldn't have been hers); Camille lived in what appeared to be an efficiency apartment - I say this because her bed and living room couch were in the same room; Madison appears to have lived in a nice apartment or house (?) the deep dive that's usually done was not done at her place. None of their places were shown in the regular episode that aired showing their current homes.
OMG!! I noticed Karla & Camille’s places too!! I remember thinking that Karla’s looked like they shot the footage in the apartment building that they put them up in after the honeymoon! And yes, Camille’s was like a studio, and they never showed us Thomas’s reaction to her place, or Allen’s reaction to Madison’s place!
How is David a social worker if he’s working the night shift? Did they just make that up for the match making special? Aren’t social workers 9-5 office/field employees? Also…great point with confidence vs audacity! Never thought to explain it that way but it’s so true.
My daughter and I reviewed the matchmaking episode. I watch it Every Season, very important! Dr. Pia played the video back to Michelle showing her reluctantly agreeing to a man who lives with his parents. David said he has 2 CAREERS in that episode. Michelle should've prioritized the financial status more than a light skinned black man as she definitely said! David is not a catch. He lived in the bar his parents owned but closed during the pandemic. They eventually sold it. He wouldn't have wanted Stephanie because he wanted a white woman with blonde hair and blue eyes as he said! It's a whole mess. I hope y'all will do Allen and Madison next. Listen to what Allen said about when he drinks 😮

There’s a podcast and YT channel with some of the ladies from the Nashville season called “D-List Diaries” and they’ve discussed how sometimes of the “matchmaking” that goes on and how the matches on paper, just don’t always translate in-person.
Saw the Match Making special but will rewatch because I mostly remember the specific request for racial preferences. That stood out to me. Correction: once you mentioned David’s portion I do remember P. Cal interviewing him as he sat on his bed. I remember thinking, that’s a mess!

Pia is a gaslighter and does lead the witness. It sounds like you guys are giving the "experts" too much credit. They don't make the matches. The producers do. And yes, they DO make crazy matches for the drama. There is maybe one genuine match tops, and the rest is trash. Drama = Viewers = Ratings = Advertising Dollars. Also, it's not a coininky-dink that Pia asked Michelle about someone living in the basement. It is blatantly obvious each and every season that the producers have already made the matches; the "experts" are pulling up the rear after the fact. This is precisely why they love rolling tape as "evidence" of "this is what you said you wanted." The producers have a MUCH bigger hand in the show than y'all think! The "experts" are basically serving as paid actors at this point.

That floppy ponytail was an instant turnoff and also reminded me of Michael's crazy hair from last season. He's another one I would have said no to. Going back to David, there was a long pause when the mother was asked if David was ready for marriage. That said a lot.
The experts aren’t there to match the best possible candidates, it’s to pose as having the best candidates. The show is on tv to make drama, not have a high success rate
Social workers can work various shifts including nights and weekends. For example an abandoned child or child involved whose parents are involved in legal situations can require an immediate removal which can occur any day or time. There are social workers available for those instances.
I just don't get how anyone still thinks Michelle was "talked into" matching with David?! If she had only told Dr Pia how adamantly she did not want a man who lived with his parents. I really do not believe she would have gotten David. Of course, that could also have resulted in her NOT being cast. I have no doubt that occurred to Michelle as well! So, that was why she truly went along with Dr Pia! Michelle prioritized getting on the show vs being matched with the right possible man! As a direct result, she got David.. which is ALL ON HER!! No sympathy nor empathy at all for Michelle!
I think none of these people would've made it past the 1st round of surveys had they applied to the show during seasons 1 to 11/New Orleans. I think they were chosen because the show didn't have any other options. I bet they all had applied for the show during the first time it was in Chicago! LOL 😂
Sorry you don't need a masters degree to become a regular social worker, but if you want to advance in the social worker world and make money you need a masters degree.
I did a video on MM as a EKG. Is love your guys' feedback on it. I have another one that I'm editing and then reposting it. I just wanted to get something out. I think MM is the undercover villain this season and we're just not seeing it it because EKG is just so over the top.

I had an aunt who is a social worker. You need a masters degree to become a social worker. I think deep down he is not telling the truth.
