I knew when Ikechi saw Emem upscale apartment. He was going to come back with some “get back” this week. Actually. He started last week when he called Emem “mechanical.” Simply IMO. Ikechi is jealous of Emem professional accomplishments. He wants to be the only bright light in the room. So. He feels he has to knock her down a few pegs to make Emem feel bad and to make himself look good. I could see that coming with my “real” prescription glasses. 😂
Call a spade a spade ♠️ - Ikechi is insecure with Emem’s success. He finally got selected to be on the show and gets paired with a highly respected and successful black woman. The more he learns about her the more insecure he becomes, his entire persona is Performative and he thought he would use the show to raise his profile, incorrectly assumed he would be able to fake it for the duration of the show, he is a bad actor and he may be a worse author, since the wife he has been writing those poems and letters to has never come close to seeing the book he wrote for her.
I’m having a hard time with Ikechi, bcuz she’s not being performative and actually was trying to get acquainted with him. She asks questions and initiates touching &/ sexual relations, so she’s aggressive. He says she is treating him like a piece of meat. She’s Just happy to have a husband. This is the same man that before even meeting Emem, told the world he prayed everyday for his wife. Wrote hundreds of poems about his wife. Flew out a singer to sing a song he wanted sung to his wife. Wrote a poem before the wedding about his wife. Just to get in front of her and avoid time spent with his wife, neglecting to touch his wife and when she asks him questions, he doesn’t want to talk to his wife. He is not interested in Emem, he doesn’t want to perform anymore. Give him to Michelle.
If David was Ike ppl would be killing him. This man signed for a show to be married living in the basement. We all know most ppl in his situation like David don't have any money saved. I stand with Michelle 😂😂
Camille is so weird! How are you colorist towards someone with your exact skin tone and racial makeup? Aren’t they both half black half white? Just because she grew up in a more black neighborhood she’s got more culture? Why not celebrate your different lived experiences and world views? Unless he’s saying some crazy Maga sh*t off camera, I haven’t seen anything that indicates Thomas is offending her blackness.
Well, when asked for an example of their differences, Camille did say that Thomas goes frequently to a bar where there have been racist incidents. Basically, she was pointing out that for Thomas to hang out at such a place where brown folks have been treated poorly shows that his relationship to blackness is not aligned with hers - at least in that respect. She would not give her patronage or money to a place where it’s common knowledge among certain ethnic groups that “we’re” not welcome there, that we may be denigrated there. Just because they have similar skin tones and have 1 non-black parent doesn’t mean that they vibe the same way: She knows how she hangs out w her friends, how her family celebrates at barbecues and reunions and such. And what she’s getting from Thomas feels that he’s not celebratory of black culture to the degree that she is. And Camille does *not* have to hang out at a rac$st bar to prove that she’s okay with wyt folks.
@@JDD_MD - oddly, there’s NOTHING about Camille that would make you assume or think she grew up in a more black neighborhood or that she has more culturally aware than Thomas. Definitely not her style of clothing, not her personality, not the way she styles her hair, not her makeup - NOTHING!!!!!!! She can say whatever she wants to, but I can’t believe she own level of Swag and Blackness hasn’t been questioned, if she really grew up in a predominantly black neighborhood. Youth can be vicious, they can & will call out anyone who doesn’t fit their narrative of what’s acceptable and Camille doesn’t give off, She was one of the “IT GIRLS “ at any point, she still doesn’t. She has honestly carried herself in such an EMBARRASSING MANNER with her constantly speaking about someone else’s SWAG & LACK OF BLACKNESS.
Love you guys. I grew up going to open houses every weekend. My grandmother says how do you know what you want if you've never seen it😀Ike done did all this moving from place to place, to sell a book and blew it all telling a black woman she's aggressive with his weak behind. Emem's cousin was right and Ike is insecure and he can't bs his way out
I love your reviews of MAFS! Both of you are extremely insightful & intuitive about these odd couples! Ikechi should have NEVER been chosen for a match! Michelle was ripped off with the match of David. Yes, he might be a really nice guy, but definitely should NOT have been matched with Michelle! Chris, you were so right on one of your previous reviews when you said, "Michelle is NOT the bad guy, the "experts" (producers) are the bad guys"... for matching Michelle to someone who has NONE of the qualities she was looking for!
This was my first time watching one of your reviews. I just had to let you know that i enjoyed how respectful you both are towards each other! It was beautiful to watch 🫶🏾 great review also!
Camille not checking Ikechi for the aggressive remark yet she’s so black. Ikechi not trying to come to the get together and want to criticize about something you had no intentions of doing plus he wanted to go low with insults. I could’ve would’ve should’ve, but didn’t do anything, but bring misery.
Yeah I agree with Chris. Ike was trying to chip at her by making the point of he could have cooked the tacos and insinuate “how do you not know how to cook as a grown woman”. That’s what I from it.
@ he told her that he wasn’t going to be there and wasn’t planning on being there. Because he had so much work to do he even said it on after show that he had no plans of being there so how would he be included in something that he wasn’t planning like participating in to begin with?
It is normal and many Latin families for people to live with family until marriage.... Not all though. That guy on love is blind was in the basement too!
My neighbor is PR. She has6 dogs and does not clean the poop up. Back yard is cement. It is painted pink. Dog poop piles everywhere. The from yard has mounds of poop too. They are just trifling. Juans apartment was weird too.
Generally it's not politically correct to refer to black women as angry, attacking or Agressive. Because it adds to the stereotype...I'm not black and I KNOW that
I get what Camille is trying to walk the fine line and say. Thomas doesn’t really seem to have much value or respect or interest in his blackness and that does not align with Camille. She is very light but she considers herself a black woman. Okay ima just say it but I’m not saying it negatively. Thomas would be considered something like a sell out and for an average black woman we couldn’t date a BM like that. He is a good guy but that kind goes against her own morals and standards and respect for herself and culture. I think that’s what Camille is feeling that people are missing.
Who is her to even say that though? She comes off as someone who tries too hard to prove to everyone that she’s “black”. I think the backstory of her brother is important. Of how he doesn’t consider himself black….so there’s alot of misguided emotions towards Thomas to where it needs to be towards her brother. She keeps saying culture but WE HAVE YET to see this culture. She describes the culture as if a white person were to describe it. - Chris
@toriyt2714 - Camille doesn’t have the credentials to question or define anyone’s “Blackness”. He goes against her morals and standards? Are you actually watching the same show? What morals and standards.. Stating she’s used to dealing with the Loud Street Type, the Hustler Type, The Keeping It Real Type. Most importantly, whatever the Type she is used to dealing with & dating, That Type of Guy isn’t Checking for her, morals and standards - there are 2 women on the show who identify as Black Women, if she wants to go on National TV and judge a man’s Blackness, while coming across as the female version of the same man, while there is a Black Woman on the same show who exudes everything she doesn’t. Emem is Feminine, well spoken, carries herself with class, there is no question about who she represents. Camille doesn’t come across feminine, she seems to be just exiting her Tomboy phase, when compared to Emem. Accept Thomas for the man he is, stop trying to compare him to those men who Smashed & Dashed on you.
@ItTakesTwoShow I'm a white woman & I am truly interested in learning about what Camille is calling "cultural differences" between her & Thomas. What I'm hearing her saying is that Thomas' high school was a lot more white kids than hers. She seems to be very light-skinned, like Thomas (is she 1/2 black, 1/2 white?) I'm wondering if she had been teased or something by kids in school?? There seems to be something deep down with her that she is taking out against Thomas??

Stop minimizing what it is by using the scapegoat word colorist. It is called racism. And yes, you can be racist against your own kind.

Ikechi had the right ones on the panel for After Party they were not buying his excuses.
The switch with Juan was when he heard that money was “energy” and that it comes and goes
This is one of the best channels on RUclips for real. And I'm not just saying that because I agree with 98.7% of your takes lol
Now don’t lie….You agree with 99.7%

I thought that Keisha and Staca were coddling David too, because they wouldn’t want him either. He has no plans of moving out.
A key point is that David thought his place WAS ready for his wife.

1st time seeing yall and I love the table signs😂
Hope it’s not the last time
Congratulations you two on 4k. 🎉🎉
Camille was bullied growing up for not being black enough. Guaranteed
I love to see inside people's houses, too! 😂 It's always been a fascination for me. I always wonder what the houses are like on the inside.

David is NOT in and out of that basement. Last week he pointed out his dart board that he plays for 3 hours a day!!
Where are Davids nice belongings his sofa bed nice clothes table stereo system etc etc where are the nice things that he owns😂???
Love your reviews !!
I’m so done with Ikechi and his one word responses. He just comes across as fake and is that even his real name or his stage name.
These producers run the show completely
Right! And it would be crazy for people to keep thinking it's the therapist right ?!

Can you guys talk more about yourselves, your backgrounds, etc? How did you meet? Where are you from? What kind of work do you do? Do you have kids?
Maybe one day
