Same. African immigrant all the way in the frozen tundra of Canada and chipper and braves are winning everyday on my TBS/TNT. I seen more brave games then blue jays and expos
At just 6 years old, I was not really watching sports on TV yet. But I have watched parts of that insane series Chipper had against the Mets before the end of the '99 season. He almost single handedly ended their season, and then they had that hard fought NLCS the next month.
Chipper was my idol coming up. I played 3rd base when I wasn't pitching. And I wore the number 10. Also, I made sure I always batted 3rd too lol. I was planning on seeing him finally at the on up building ar SunTrust but he canceled and idk why. I hope he does a meet and greet soon. I have to meet him at least once before I die.
I have this feeling that you may not have had a father growing up, and my heart breaks for you. So, there's something about a bond between a father and son when it comes to baseball; hence, interviewing his father from Chipper's youth to his retirement is the most intimate insight one can get on his career other than talking directly to Chipper the entire series. Hearing his father talk about them going upstairs to negotiate Chipper's first contract as John Sheurholtz sits in the living room, or sharing what Don Baylor told Chipper that changed his overall approach to hitting, allowing him to go from a great player to elite, and even talking about how proud he was when his son hit his 400th home run, seeming like he is still processing the significance like it still hasn't fully sunk in yet....i found all of those stories fascinating and we wouldn't have gotten that from any other source. In fact, I don't have statistics and I'm certainly not a psychologist, but I could see how some kids that were abandoned by their father would be more likely to play other sports like basketball because if you play baseball, you need at least one other person to play with. When I'm driving home from work in the afternoons into my neighborhood, the 2 most likely scenarios I see besides someone working in their yard is either a father and his son playing catch in the yard or a boy or girl shooting basketball by themselves.
I dont think they know or heard of the 86 Mets that was chaotic. this is just opposing fans chanting larry . they hype it up but people aint buying it.
One of the best Braves players ever...miss him so much!!! Thank Chipper for all the amazing memories in a Braves uni...we will LOVE you forever ⚾❤️🤍💙
It is very true indeed, we boo a hitter/pitcher out of respect. For that we tip our Mets cap to you, Larry! Respect.
You boo Chase Utley out of respect?
@@greatestnitemare6626 we boo him because he’s a scum bag
my favorite player of all time
Same. African immigrant all the way in the frozen tundra of Canada and chipper and braves are winning everyday on my TBS/TNT. I seen more brave games then blue jays and expos
I named my second Son Chipper... Thank you #10 for all the great moments 🙏

Goosebumps. My boy Chip made being a Braves fan a blast. Love it.
Don’t you mean “Chill Bumps”?
A chopper to Chipper is engraved in my memory

Now we have Acuña. The Marlin killer.
National League killer
Everyone is a marlin killer
That’s a good one.
And Riley the new met killer
@@KishanPatel-hf6uq It WAS Freddie but you know..His ex agent was a bum.
Im a Braves fan and hell i love mets fans. They're cool ... cant say that about any other team.
I'm soooo thankful I was able to watch this as a braves fan. These games were everything. Thank you chipper
Ozzie albies the cubs killer
Named his kid Shea.. total boss!
I'm a red sox fans but my friends used to fight over these games lmao true rivalry
I'm a lifelong Mets fan but when I played baseball I was Chipper Jones.

Awe that’s awesome. I love stories like this.
Chipper Switch hitting goat!
Mickey Mantle?
@@Pwnzistor Mantle isn't .304 from both sides
@@thedude3065 Mantle played too long and killed his career average but yeah Chipper was a beast
@@Pwnzistor and Eddie Murray
Mark Teixeira was good at switch hitting too. Chipper and Mark are my 2 switch hit goats
Loved the fact that he saved his best games for the biggest stage!

Shawn Pendell I second this comment
I met him once or twice. He's all right he canb be kind of a jerk he will ignore fans least when he played he did but I get it
Freddie Freeman is the 2nd Mets killer
Lay off the drugs. That belongs to Chase Utley
FredRICooo. !!

A great player and role model for kids every where
Larry Legend
#ChopOn
Mets were classy chipper last games up there....there's respect
You don’t wanna piss off the truly great athletes
Austin Riley the home run hitter
He fed on their hate.
I have his rookie card
That's worth $$
I have 3 of them. They're not worth that much. His autograph is worth a bit though.
I have his rookie card 1991 upper deck. I have a signed baseball too.
Two Braves Mets fans truly hate:
1. Chipper Jones, who very often played the villain on the field.
2. John Rocker, who did likewise off of it.
I can respect Chipper, can't say the same for Rockers dumbass
He named his kid shae hahahah
Because of his success
I named my kid Citi Field.
Pure savagery.
Now we have Acuña the Marlin Killer
Chipper vs mets was must see tv
My dad Hated Chipper Jones Because He Was a Huge New York Mets FAN
The true measure of a player who owns a team is to name his kid Shae, lol
The present braves need a met killer😂
Share with your favorite Mets fan :D
Go braves ustedes pueden
Hated the braves as a kid in the 90s
Now that's a heel
LAAA REEE. LAAA REEE
He killed the Mets. It was awesome.
LAA-RRYYY
Imagine his numbers if he played for the Mets.
When trash talk goes bad.........Forgot he named one of his kids after the stadium
Seeing Glavine in a Met uniform just felt wrong. It’s like watching Billy Joel hold a guitar. It’s unnatural.
They should play flyin high again by ozzie ozbourne when Ozzie Albies hits a HR in Atl lol
Looks like 6 Met fans were here haha
Is there an episode of the Chipper Jones series that details Larry’s denial of the Sandy hook massacre?
Is it required by law to talk to Chipper's dad every single time they do a piece on him?

I wish chipper would have stayed healthy in the latter part of his career.
Acuña new Mets killer right
Teheran used to be a Mets killer, but he's gone now
You don't have to put music over this, it's fine.
The Mets fans should have chanted LAAAAAA-WEEEEEEE
They did. The Mets pitching paid the price.
I dont think they know or heard of the 86 Mets that was chaotic. this is just opposing fans chanting larry . they hype it up but people aint buying it.
Lol yeah he named his kid Shea.......
Yea. I didn't like him back in tha day.
