Some of the greatest memories of my early 20s, were watching Braves games with my mom. She loves you, Chipper Jones! My brother was a tennis coach for some of the Cincinnati Reds player's wives, and one of them gave my brother player family seat tickets when mom was going to visit him for a week. So there's my mother, decked out in her Chipper Jones attire, sitting in the family seats of the Cincinnati Reds team, screaming her lungs out for the Braves. Lol The mid to late 90s were amazing Braves years. Thanks for all of the great memories.
I could listen to Chipper talk all day long. I had the opportunity to speak to him for a couple minutes when he took his family bowling one day. I managed the place near his home in Roswell and he would come in from time to time. It was around the time he made the change from 3B to LF. He signed an autograph for my oldest son who was only 10 years old at the time.
Chipper is one of my favorite athletes because of how he handled things on and off the field. Don’t remember him being controversial really. Just a solid excellent player and decent man.
My first and only MLB game was in Atlanta, and he hit a home run into left field pretty close to where I was sitting. I wasn't a braves fan, but a Chipper Jones fan.
Loved watching the Braves as a kid in the 90s and Chipper was by far my favorite player growing up ... We moved from GA to CA in the mid 90s and I was still able to watch most of the games because they were on TBS ... Heck of a time to be a Braves fan
You wouldn't think that out of Maddux, he looks like a CPA or college professor, in interviews he seems so quiet and reserved, it's always the ones that you suspect the least🤣
Love chipper. I remember being a huge Braves fan at age 13 in 1995 when chipper came up. I got his rookie card back then and still have it encased. Too bad baseball cards aren’t worth anything anymore.
Peeing on you in the shower. Thats about as original as wiping your ass with uniform accessories.🤣🤣 I think I remember that game where those 3 got tossed. I need to get his book bc Im sure I wont stop laughing.
As Chipper said Maddox was the nastiest human being I could see in my head Jr writing down "get Maddox on the show".....and if you get him on ask him about pranking Kris Bryant....
I know I'm getting old when Chipper is an old retired gray beard. I got his autograph several times as a kid back when he was playing for the Greenville Braves minor league team. So many of the stars for the 90's era Braves came thru there.
Growing up in Knoxville, The G Braves would play the Knoxville K-Jays at the time. Saw some amazing Braves players in Chipper, Kelsko, Javy Lopez just to name a few.
@@trewright1482 that's awesome! I don't remember the KJays but def remember the Chattanooga team. Other than the guys already listed GVL had Glavine,Mark Wohlers, Andruw Jones, David Justice, Kent Mercker,Adam Wainwright, Jason Marquis,Mark Lemke and many others.
I was at a Braves Red Sox game in Fenway, I want to say in 2004 that I saw all get tossed. I remember it differently as Smoltz was on the mound and the Braves lost. Maybe it was a different game.
@@trewright1482 definitely a different game. This particular game was probably 09 or 10.. It was one of Bobby's last years. It was such a bs call all around
Mike Davis ...... after hearing the NBA “that’s game”commercial think u have been misunderstanding what people have been saying to u....... I think they’ve been saying “that’s GAY” to u ...... 🤣🤣
Awesome ballplayer. Tells great stories. Great father from what ive seen and read. How in the hell he cheated on Karin is beyond me though. She was and is so gorgeous
Got a question , maybe you know the right person to talk to about this, or know the answer yourself. Why cup don't run the whole Watkins Glenn, and, if there is no good reason, can we
I'll tell you a MLB prank. Paying these high salaries to athletes. For all you non financial folk, this is one of many signs that the US dollar has been lost it's value. There's so much currency creation that PRICE INFLATION has been showing up and will continue for years to come. Time to buy you some ASSETS with that currency while it's still possible. Gold and silver is great for wealth preservation.

Reds were decent still too. Just not nearly as good as those Braves teams. Chipper, Andrew, Greg, John, and Tom.

I watched that ejection he is talking about live on tv. Love hearing inside stories about some of those old childhood memories

Chipper is arguably the most popular Brave ever, next to Hank Aaron of course.
The Braves have been my teams since 1984. Some of the best players
Hilarious!! Thanks for making my morning...I needed a jumpstart...😜😁

There are so many worse stories than that from Maddux.
If you really followed the Braves back in the day you knew Maddux was wild
I always thought the opposite. To me he looked like he regularly harvested his nose for snacks.
@@Tadaiasome candy of the nose you are saying?

they are if graded and taken to the whole 9's with appraisal... but it's a total pain in the butt...
You may want to look again. Cards in general are bringing more than they ever have now.
I have a Chipper Jones rookie card that he signed for me in Atlanta his second season. I know it's value, but will never let it go.
@@user-cs3zs6jn1d nice. I have an autographed David justice rookie card
They are worth a fortune now lol
DUDE! I am shocked and appalled, I would never have guessed that Maddux was the depraved one of the group, dude looks like a history teacher.

New nickname for Chipper, "Bacon strip". LOL
NASCAR + Baseball. I love this
I wish Chipper would become a coach in the dugout for the Braves....
You got your wish. He's been a part time hitting instructor for the Braves the past couple seasons.
As Chipper said Maddox was the nastiest human being I could see in my head Jr writing down "get Maddox on the show".....and if you get him on ask him about pranking Kris Bryant....
I am shocked he did the ass wipe thing. But him being a prankster though is not surprising.
I guess Chipper Jones can answer the question is it better to be pissed off or pissed on
If you've never peed on someone in the shower then you haven't lived! 🤣
Some folks prefer to be the ones peed on but not me

I don’t care who it is. I’d NEVER let anyone pee on me. I played baseball in high school and college. No No No

My two sports worlds colliding. So this is what a head explosition feels like.
Mad Dog (Maddux) is probably the greatest prankster in MLB history.
Greatest pitcher ever maybe.
do we know who Chipper Jones is finally..loll...cool glad to see him back. this should be good
Bring Paul Tracy in as a guest! Us Canadian fans are dying to hear his stories!
Especially after SRX lol

Anybody know?
Yep

None of what he did was pranks just plain disgusting I would have knocked him out
And your career would be over within minutes.
That is just baseball pranks. Relatively harmless fun. He never meant anything bad by it. Pretty nasty, but he meant nothing bad or devious.
same crap went on in our team showers in college
Nice Georgia Southern hat
They actually lost that game
