  • HGTV’s ‘Love It or List It: Vancouver’ star Todd Talbot knows the devastation from British Columbia's wildfires first-hand after watching his family’s dream home in West Kelowna go up in flames on Friday.
    “We’re safe and staying with family in Calgary at the moment,” Talbot tells The Morning Show. “The thing that resonates the most with me is the outpouring of support and people sending messages,” he adds.
    “I could see at the beginning of the day, the smoke was intensifying behind our house and we were looking at (an) app (showing) where the fire was located. The smoke in the air was intense and that was what motivated me to suggest to Rebecca to take the kids somewhere else,” Talbot recounts.

    Most people recognize Todd as the co-host from the popular TV show "Love it or List it Vancouver" which ran for many seasons and still shows reruns on the home channel which I still watch. Todd is just a very likable guy. A good choice to interview because he is well- spoken and comfortable in front of a camera.

    To be clear, the devastation in West Kelowna started Thursday evening. The fire exploded in less than 3 hours. By 9pm it was terrifying. So much loss but also so much love in the Okanagan.

    Devastating for him, his family and to other families that lost their homes. It’s such a cruel life where with one stroke you could lose everything. For those who make light of this and laugh and say he’s wealthy and now he knows what it’s like to be homeless, you would feel differently if you lost your home.

    I’m listening to this right now, must add my thoughts here: my brother & sister-in-law live there. I was just there visiting in the beginning of July & had literally no clue that this would be happening to Beautiful Kelowna! It’s incredible for me to see the views there; but when I saw the wildfires happening as fast as they were I was FaceTimed by my sister-in-law that they were okay so far, she knew that I’d be scared of what I’d be seeing on TV news. She stated that she was getting things ready in a bag in case they got the call to leave, but she was losing sleep due to what the flames were doing every hour of the day & night. She had her son & daughter-in-law there for a 7 day visit that grew into a longer stay than they bargained for, they were stuck inside the house due to the heat & smoke etc. But she also said: she was really trying hard not to break down & cry 😢 due to the incredible stress taking place. I said: I’m kinda glad I wasn’t there, I’d be really scared about what might happen, she agreed with that. She stated that the wind is taking the fire away to Vernon & I said: yeah, but don’t want them to lose their houses & lives! I’m very empathetic towards some people esp, going through something like this! I informed sister-in-law that this was not by accident, there were people who were deliberately setting these fires just cause. Two women were taking a walk & happened to come upon a woman who was startled because she was trying to set a tree ablaze, a little while later a tree or bush was set ablaze. So?! Think about that. Nonetheless; my ♥️ goes out to EVERYONE WHOSE BEEN CAUGHT UP WITH/IN THIS HORRIBLE WILDFIRE(S). EVENT! May Almighty God be with you all! 🙏

    Notice in the pictures of the wildfire, Houses have been completely destroyed, But the trees still look green and O K, almost identical to the Maui fires. How is this possible.? That's just my opinion.

    • @LH23511
      @LH23511 10 месяцев назад

      Also identical to the Paradise Fires. And the Lahaina fire, And I am sure Yellowknife also only has 1 highway out . Can not discount evil agendas in this day and age. One must be logical and address all possibilities, however heinous one agenda might be. Could be weather warfare. Can’t rule it out. Hopefully not. There is a Simpson episode where a high technology beam strikes buildings and living beings and dissolves them to ashes. Burnt down the city. Simpson is a good one for predicting the WEF agenda. Just saying. Saw a few weather systems on satellite get steered by these microwave beams, which is why I am starting to question why Raytheon, and the Defence aerospace departments are experimenting with such powerful destructive energy weapons. Supposedly China is using them as well. Can deliver a destructive energy from satellite apparently.

    Its tragic and wild fires happen every year but we never learn how to prevent it especially during very dry conditions, start throwing water bombs especially wetting the forest near residential areas before a fire starts and when wild fire already started, I would certainly throw water bombs to isolate the fire preventing it from burning to residential areas and not throwing water bombs into the fire on the very first. That may prevent the fire from burning to the houses.

    The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders defines nine possible criteria for narcissistic personality disorder. Those are: a grandiose sense of self-importance; a preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love; a belief on being special and unique, and that could only be associated with others who are also special; a need for excessive admiration; a sense of entitlement; interpersonally exploitive behavior; lack of empathy; envy of others or believing that others are envious of him or her; a demonstration of arrogant and haughty behaviors.= Justin Trudeau.
