Just try it just now. Since I bought the one that only has tripod I don't have pop filter. So it's really painful for my ears until I cover it with other mic's cover. Not only the pop sound reduced the background sound from fan noise also disappear. I finally able to hear my voice clearly.
I got this mic and I can confirm it's quite nice. I also have it mounted to a stand with a pop filter just like Asher and it's good enough for recording. If you were going for a Snowball you should reconsider.

It sounds great, but how does it handle background sound? With how far it can pick up your voice, one would think that the mic may have an issue with a plain keyboard, mouse, and a possible fan, unlike the snowball.

I'm rocking the XM8500 with the UM2-Uphoria and it's sound quality is even better than both of these considering it costs even less because it is an XLR mic instead of a USB one.

Yes, though you need to have ASIO4ALL downloaded and choose it as audio device, then under the ASIO4ALL panel, enable the USB PnP Audio Device and you're good to go.

Its definitely an entry level mic for ppl that r jus trying out anything that need a somewhat usable mic like stream, voice call, recording, podcast. Definitely not for any professional work like singing or smth like that. Value wise, it definitely one of the best budget mic out there. But problem? Becos it isnt a well known global brand, if i want to buy it in my country, it will cost twice as much as what u said.
BE WARNED if you are a streamer (video games) this mic WILL pick up your mechanical keyboard (especially cherry switches)...I have this mic and even with a heavy noise gate and keyboard pretty far from the mic, it STILL picks it up. NOW the positives...its very affordable, huge upgrade from headset mics, VERY well built, and honestly just a great value overall. If you are recording voice overlays and podcasts simply jsut talking into the mic, this thing can hang with $100+ mics.
