The thing is, the way he was describing the bacons I thought he would pick the right one

He knows how it's made hes just not familiar with taste and production quality

I'm not sure he knows how it's made. Probably can just tell based on it's properties.
But can we get the guy doing the backgrounds to guess cheap and expensive chalks lol
It's a gal doing the chalk drawings. Yea chalk comparisons would be hilarious.

@asd asd well aren’t you the cheerful art connoisseur😏?
Seriously though you should watch the video of her coming up with the concept just based on the subject and guidance of “minimal art in the centre” because that’s where the expert stands.
First mistake! But that made me happier, showing more authenticity to this series and making me a bigger fan!

I really like how most of the people who do this respect the cheaper products for what they are.
That's often the difference between an expert and a snob.
It makes sense! Not everyone can afford the fancy stuff, no point in shaming people in doing their best with affording what they can.
@@carpeggios Even people who can afford to eat nothing but fancy stuff enjoy cheap products. High end meals are like the fancy art house movies of food where you get dressed up to go to dinner, wait an hour for your food to show up and talk about the subtle flavors interacting with each other. Cheap food are the summer blockbuster superhero movies streaming on netflix. Even with all the money in the world you would consume it because its fast, easy, and doesn't taste terrible.
Why did you put a coma after ‘this’
Skyler Crimson *comma
If you ask me, he still got 100%. As he said, turkeys don't have bellies, so the "bacon" in turkey bacon is just referring to the shape. As for the rest, coming from bellied animals, the guy nailed it.
Jack L our boy is a meat expert.
I feel like a fair descriptor for turkey bacon would be like “baconed turkey”, as in turkey meat presented *as bacon*, kind of like the nomenclature of chicken fried steak, if that makes any sense.
I feel like all the videos are scripted and he purposely guessed wrong
@@Jeff_in_3D The day we start using "bacon" as a verb is the day the world ends.
@@Lamb666 He clearly said B was the better product, but he thought the extra production effort in A of making it look more like real bacon, with the white and dark stripes, might have raised the cost. He's a meat expert, not a marketing expert.

Centorea 88 So because you are lazy to go to the store, people should be eating less pure ingredients?
@@jerrysiren3460 Buying products in bulk is cheaper than buying them in small individual packages. If you buy food bulk and don't eat all of it in a certain amount of time it goes bad. I'm not lazy, I just care about saving money and not being wasteful.

4:25 *"That's really good bacon too though"*
that pretty much sums it up
everything he said about the turkey bacon made me think B was the more expensive... idk why he chose A...
I think it was how they got the look of bacon. I'm not 100% sure though
He said that they made A look more like a bacon and so he thought that more time was put into it albeit it tasted worse. Some expensive things taste worse than their cheaper counterparts
@Jed Lawson that's his point, taste is not only subjective but can be chemically induced through cheap alternatives to mimic something of higher quality.
Most likely because most of us assume that producers of turkey bacon try very hard to imitate pork bacon. And he saw how much effort went into (A) that producer's imitation . However, he didn't have knowledge of what distinguishes quality turkey bacon and bad quality. Ergo, it was an incorrect assumption.
@@RimReaper710 ALSO, as someone who keeps kosher I'm like 99% certain that the more expensive turkey bacon was a kosher brand (that I eat all the time). Kosher meat is always more expensive due to rabbinic supervision and the extensive preparation and slaughtering process.

And we would call it back bacon and think you're weird for saying it's Canadian.
Also, what you call English bacon is what most people here call 'peameal' or 'back' bacon.
Nolly Polly
Never heard someone refer to our bacon as peameal :/
In Sweden we would call the English bacon for French bacon and the American bacon for Swedish bacon.
Nolly Polly, peameal bacon is back bacon that hasn’t been smoked, but has been rolled in peameal after the brine. English bacon is just the best of both worlds as ours (back bacon) is very lean. But honestly, I have never in my life ever seen round bacon before. Do people honestly think that’s what back bacon really is???
Ha. In Australia it’s just, “Bacon.” If you were served streaky bacon, you’d feel ripped off.
