Camp Gulf was purchased by the original owners from Camping on the Gulf a couple years ago. The transition was not smooth. Myself and family were on the property at that time. That is why it has 2 different names.

@GlampReview so now it is Camping on the Gulf. It was originally Camping on the Gulf, sold it and became Camp Gulf, and then purchased it back. It is officially Camping on the Gulf.

Great video I have the same table cover lol I’ve stayed there 3 times this past thanksgiving 2 years ago over Christmas and once in July I’ve spoken to regulars on the beach and to echo what you said about space , they told me during spring break you literally cannot se the beach with so many people
I can only imagine what that heat is like , I’ve stayed in the keys In august and it was brutal. Safe travels

It was record heat when we went. The owners said they have not had heat like that in quite sometime. That day we lost power it was truly 101 and heat index felt like 125. I love heat and summer but that pushed me. If you watch this and other episodes pay attention to my radio it shows 100.
I can not imagine the beach being packed like that. If i was to have that i would probably not want to come back!
We stayed there in dec 2022 and it was awesome. You can have pets and stay on the wall sode of beach just cant take pets any closer than road you drive on.we were there for 1 week and brought back a lot of sand with us in our 5th wheel. Great experience, though. Not to bad of a trip down from nw arkansas.

Our first trip to Camp Gulf was December 2022 also. We were there Dec 12th - 17th in 2022. We stayed in the same site 606. One of our days we had a tornado warning, can't remember which day it was, that was a scary moment! We had to pull all our slides in because the wind was so high it looked like our slide toppers were about to rip off. Palm branches were blowing off the trees made a complete mess. Were you there during that storm?
I think around 14 hrs with stops for fuel and bathroom breaks. It os a really nice campground and met some really nice people. Also got to see multiple fly overs from the blue angels.
Wow I thought our 7 Hour drive was long! I'd call that a long haul! But I'd do it too! The December crowd we had in 2022 was very nice as well. The December crowd we had seemed more social than the August crowd we had, but maybe it was the heat in August. For us Way less crowded in December. The Camper crowd has always been very nice! I totally agree It is a nice campground! Blue Angels would be awesome to see! They were not flying the week in December 2022 we were there.
We stopped in jackson Ms at a small campground for the night. It nice to stop and redt. Good point to stop. We have figured out 6 to 7 hrs driving is our limit, plus i dont like pulling trailer in the dark.
Amen to that! we figured 7 is max for our 2 cats for sure and me. We are booked for Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground trip this year and we are doing a stop over for that one. Because that would be a 12 hour strait drive for us, so about a 5 hour drive then we have a stop over at a KOA. We'll have that trip on our channel later this year. I don't mind driving in dark its the backing up in the dark I hate. We got home from Gatlinburg late night one year and backing into the driveway in the dark was my first and last!

This is true, lol. Windows are tinted on RV’s now so in the day light no one would even see them during the day. 🤣

The only site available for my stay is back up toward the front. Probably too far to walk down with our stuff by what I see. Is there any parking down by the beach? Place I could leave my eBike or take it out on the beach? TIA
Thank you for watching! So from what I saw a bike should be ok. But a golf cart maybe not. If you look when we are walking back there, I think I got it on the video, I saw a sign that said no parking. But that may be for a car or golf cart. But a ebike takes up no room. They are very nice there and I bet you no-one would say anything, especially for a bike. I suggest when you check in I would ask them.
