When the Lord returns
Who knows what he will find
Or what will be left
Of the former mankind
Will he break down and cry?
For to whom can he pray?
When the Lord returns
Is this what he’ll say?
What have you done in my name?
When the Lord returns
You’ll be asked to speak
For you trample on the helpless
When blessed are the meek
O how you guard your treasure
With a loaded gun
But you bury your children
When there’s nowhere left to run
What have you done in my name?
For I was sick and you could have bathed me
And I was lost and you could have saved me
So hungry you might have gave me something to eat
But O Lord when did we see you?
And when could we feed you?
As if we could believe you were laid at our feet
When the Lord returns
You know where he’s coming first
And what the book says
Chapter and verse
In the words of the prophets
Rest assured this much is true
When the Lord returns
He’s coming for you
What have you done in my name?

Absolutely beautiful
Beautiful! Loved the arrangement…God bless
Beautiful
It makes me think of a problem I see in the church today. People know that no great works can get you to heaven, so they sit there and do nothing. God still wants us to stir up those things, but only out of love for Him, and a determination to see the LORD be praised. {Romans 13:11}And do this, knowing the time, but now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed
Also, love the song btw
A beautiful and restrained song, I was thinking of writing something about recent tragic stuff, and I found myself going well, off the rails.
