- I am a retired RCMP Officer living in a rural setting in Nova Scotia, Canada. I spend my time enjoying nature and feeding my furry friends, the raccoons. I also feed the deer in the winter months and many varieties of birds. I have two rescue cats named Connor and Charlotte.

SO enjoyed seeing Connor Cat & Charlotte!! Precious babies!! 🤗 I had 4 kitties, but lost 2 last year. We still have Butter & Riley. Butter is 18 & gets insulin shots 2x a day. Get Charlotte checked her blood work done. Our cat would do that, suddenly got vocal and wanted to eat food all the time and it turned out she had thyroid disease. We got her meds and she was doing well. They were going to do blood work her next visit in early Feb. but she collapsed Monday, and we had to put her down. We don't know if she had a heart attack or a stroke, but we figure it was thyroid related. If we had found out sooner maybe she would still be with us. She was 13.
So sorry for the loss of your cat.I will be praying for you.🙏

Thanks guys, I just read Max lost Occy of Max and Occy. He said Occy died in his sleep but was as playful and energetic as ever right of to the end of his 14 years. The same with our girl once she got on the meds. An hour before she collapsed, she was playing energetically with our other cat. At least she was feeling better and happy again after getting on meds. I plan to remember her that way. I just feel maybe her thyroid had damaged her body too much before we found out.

Hi Jim, Angie and kitties. I’ve missed you and your videos. The kitties are looking well, funny that it’s Charlotte bugging you for food, typically it’s Connor. It doesn’t look like you have a lot of snow...you can have some ours here in southern Ontario, we have way too much. I work for a Catholic school board and we’re on day 17 for snow days. The school busses aren’t running but the schools are open. Those are some really beautiful Christmas cards you and Angie got. Happy belated birthday Angie. On January 14,2025 we got 10 “ of snow! We usually don’t get snow until mid February and certainly not that much accumulation! It was a freaky Southern snow storm.
