I discovered Megaman very late. Never played it until he was announced for Smash Bros 4. Tried 2 in VC and now playing the entire Legacy Collections. Even without childhood nostalgia I realize these games have the best soundtrack in the videogames industry. It's just that good, and the games are incredibly fun for being from the 8-bit era.

I also grew up loving MegaMan ever since the first game that was released in 1988 and man do I wish that I could relive my younger days. You guys enjoy life and take care.

Real talk: I both teared up and got goosebumps during the transition to the faster part of the title screen track. This is DELIGHTFUL!!! And it does my soul good to know serious musicians took time to do creative takes on this music. So good!!! Thank you!

MM3 is the one OST that I can hum the entirety of without hearing it. I feel it's a source of secret exhilaration when there's a piece like this that requires an orchestral percussionist to "get on the kit." They are all such talented, versatile performers, and don't get a lot of credit for it. But music like this requires so much driving rhythm that it wouldn't have been the same without that guy on drums, especially the sweeping MM2 overture.
I've said it before on other videos, but this is pure art. Anyone who still says video games can't be art are plain wrong, and performances like this prove that video games have _always_ been art.

This is the best symphony version of Mega Man music I've heard. This is only the second one I've heard so it has an edge over the Sweedish take. That edge comes from incorporating more instruments that better captures and fills out the songs. Of course this is probably something the Sweeds were unable to do because of the size of the orchestra and the venue. The Sweedish approach seemed to be a more traditional in the sense that they used different instruments to play pieces of the song to create a build up and brought it all together in certain spots whereas this group is playing the whole songs as a group capturing more of the sounds from the 8 bit versions and its more familar.
Gonna be honest here, I cried during the intro section. Mega man will always have such a special place in my heart. Edit: I love the fact that you can tell the director is a Mega man fan and is enjoying himself so much lol

Mega Man 3 soundtrack throughout is the best soundtrack on the 8 bit.. Fantastic.. Haven't played it in 20 years and can still hear all the stages..
That's the power of a really good game. Especially one with such iconic music as Mega Man.
