I'm too much of a hermit. And I'm pretty anti-social and opinionated (just ask anyone who's worked with me). Hearing other music going on would drive me nuts. I'd spend a lot of time wear noise cancelling headphones, which would not be good for the music. My ideal studio would be in the woods with no one around for 5-10 miles. I'm also too old and jaded. And I don't use the word 'vibe' in all its permutations to survive around today's young musicians.
@@thejasontlewis Sorry for the dark sarcasm! The first part I really meant tho. Hearing other music coming from the other rooms would drive me crazy too, and probably derail my musical thoughts/ideas. I much prefer to work alone and in my own quiet space. I'm old and jaded as well! (and I'm probably a little weird! lol)
Since I don’t have a lot of space I’ve considered recently getting into sampling, midi, and virtual instruments. I didn’t realize how advanced some of the stuff has gotten. They literally have 1 to 1 software recreations of famous instruments. I was also shocked at the guitar tones.
did he say all time low? ALL TIME LOW?! he must be SO good at what he does... I can only imagine how much dedication he's put into everything he's talked about in this video. Thank you so much for sharing this
Great looking studio! Love the idea of having a few people have studios in a house, love the fact that there is no typical bed rooms. Its a home completely turned into a studio. It might be cool if a couple of friends all had mix rooms, and shared access to a live room in the basement or something like that!! Super fun!
Man, I watch these videos on Monday morning and I'm supposed to be making my YT video for the day but afterwards all I want to do is blow it all off and work on my music stuff.
Now Dan's room setup I can relate to. Basic solid gear, ready to go; not overwhelmed by thousands upon thousands of dollars of equipment that I'll never own, like some of the other studio tours (which I also thoroughly enjoy!) but that are pretty much travels through fantasies I'll never know. Love the house sharing, separate room setups. Great idea. Bet a lot of work gets done in those rooms.
Dan´s room is SO close to everything I´ve been thinking and talking about concerning my own wish and plan for a small composer studio. Been smiling cheek to cheek for about twenty minutes now. Even in the middle of my familiy summer vacation,- still it´s monday!
Greetings, amazing video. I live just down the road in Chattanooga and I love the fact that you featured this studio. I was just telling some of my artist that the biggest hits were made in simple environments. I love that there wasn't a tone of super high-end gear and that they use whatever gear is available. Just earned a sub. Keep up the good work and if you are in the area hit me up
Thanks for the video! Would love to see more songwriter spaces on the channel. This one was definitely unusual. Like an office space, but for writers, but it's actually a house? Wow.
would be kinda dope for them to eventually wire everything with dante so they have zero latency access to every room in the house that they setup. then they can set up a room or two as sort of a "live" or tracking room they all can access and share. otherwise...what a dope concept.
Nice rig, not too far different to mine but a lot more organised. If I was full time musician recorder would get some more organisation inp place. Goes to show you don't need to bust a bank to get down some decent recordings.
After you hit the sacred bathroom he goes into his writing room. Question....what brand of paint and whats the name of the paint color? I would absolutely love to know!
I have to ask. What did this house cost? Does the studio actually generate that much income? That's amazing if it does. I was always under the impression that Nashville is almost buried in studios. Made me wonder how any made money if there are so many. Especially when you think about how many artists are doing it all on their own. That house in Toronto would be about a million and a half if not more depending on the neighborhood.
Yeah I was wondering if this guy was still on the payroll, if you know what I mean. He spends 10 hour days gratis with songwriters who MIGHT hire him down the line to... what? Produce? Does he get songwriting/publishing $?
If Dan is watching this: I have the same Studio Trends 46" cherry desk & sidecar. I have problems with the large plate under the desk vibrating. Are you running into similar problems? I'm tempted to remove the plate, but it looks like it may be structurally important.
Good video. IMO it is probably not ideal to admit that you and the artists are hitting up Spotify to "chase something similar." Inspiration is fine but... I'm probably old fashioned but when I think of true art- I think of originality. I doubt that you never saw Picasso or Beethoven spying the work of others for inspiration. Then again, in 1770 there was no internet. I am a realist and I'm sure many do this and likely fairly often. That free admission however could really build a future case should "a Spotify artist" "ever" feel like they were ripped off- just saying. There are only 12 notes in the musical alphabet so much is "borrowed."
What do you think? I think I would love having a big awesome house with my friends studios down the hall.
Do it!!!

@@thejasontlewis I'm with you 100%... I'm the same. In fact, we are so alike, maybe we should collaborate? UPDATE : On second thought, never mind.
@@antoniog2854 Wow, that was a weird comment...

ALL TIME LOW is one of my favorite bands - this was awesome to watch!
These houses are essential the “Hype houses” of music production

Caught me off guard too
That is some dizzy camera work in the beginning there 😂
Yeah, he is their touring third guitar, keyboard and backup vocalist. He sings incredibly, incredibly well and compliments Alex's voice perfectly.
Dude, awesome! My dream studio tour would be Dan Auerbach! That would be the absolute awesome vid!

I just let this roll on my TV. Great work Andy

Love these videos ! Can’t wait for my studio one day
What a cinematography... just epic! 😈🔥🔥
I really dig that you feature everyone from huge studios to smaller guys. Thats pretty motivational bro
Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying the content.

I appreciate the thumbnail love
Thanks Andy. Always enjoy your tours.
Thanks GG!
Very nice studio! Thanks for the great tour, guys.
Thanks Laney!
Waooo how comfortable it looks🙌
2:50 This should be a title! "EPIC studio at the WHITE HOUSE"
Dude the house concept they have going is incredible! Awesome video
Thanks for the video! Would love to see more songwriter spaces on the channel. This one was definitely unusual. Like an office space, but for writers, but it's actually a house? Wow.
Thanks!
Keeping that headphones on the SM7 really broke my heart!
Great bedroom setup for getting the job done! Love it!
hope I could watch you feature a open plan/space music studio, I'm interested in that kind of concept.
Hope one day my homestudio will be epic enough to meet you haha. Love these series so cool to watch. Love your content
Glad you are enjoying the vids!
Love All Time Low. Great studio tour. His setup is kinda similar to mine.
Great as usual (YT Algorithm please do your magic with this channel)
stopped counting word vibe used , sry im old ,we felt it, lol great stuff as always

Uhhh thanks for this! Would also really love to see a tour of Rian‘s Studio (Trackhappy), that’d be awesome!
Realy Nice! Regards from Brasil
Thanks!
I love this series
Thanks for watching
Really nice vid thx for it!!
Mondays are now more fun
Happy I can help with that haha
6:42 -- Genelec monitors FTW!
That's really inspiring! Makes me think that there shouldn't be a limited space in the house for inspiration/music. Anywhere is a place to create.
Great crib. 👏👏😎
6mins 34 - I think you’re correct, looks like a KM54 to me. 👍
Yeah I think so as well
All-Time Low is awesome. Really love the personal writing room - 7:29. What specific desk is that? Hopefully Dan can chime in.
Awesome!

"incrediblely average studio tour" is more accurate.
Woah woah woah, you know the Leeland crew!?
Check out that video: ruclips.net/video/-GU12jq6mhA/видео.html
Can I ask why you having Angela White Logo?
Is that “Hastings” at 6:20?
Did yall walk in on Knox? Was that Knox!?
The keystation 88 is just too long for my desk.T_T. I sold that just last month.
16:00 - does this mean the M1’s are compatible with UAD stuff now????
is MacBook m1?
whhhaaat??? No drill-down into the details of that piece of drum kit in the room?
Do I need to contact the owner of Hopeless Records I want to make the entire record and need studio access
I thought Nashville was forbidding pro home studios in 2022 again?
That caused the 2008 to present depression
I wanna buy my own studio setup I'm tired of paying people to record me and mix crap
I'm stealing Dan's rooms everything besides the thousands of $$$ worth of gear
Would you trust an audio engineer who is not even sure what model computer he is using?
He's a writer and performer more than an engineer
Discontinue the word vibes, please.

Not impressed with this one unfortunately. I can say I’m doing better without trying or posing this much🤮
