Thank you for such an easy to understand video. I have a die cutting machine but now seeing what can be done with this just by Scanning any design into the machine is awesome. This is definitely on my bucket list.
I have been going back and fourth on which new cutter I want and you helped me decide I hope to get this for my birthday also you are my new bested friend I m loving your videos thank you so much!
Mary Gibson That's awesome Mary. I hope you love it as much as we do. I'll be honest though, when we first got the ScannCut, after a couple of days of use, it was promptly put in the cupboard never to be seen again. We just had trouble getting the hang of it. But after a month or so, we decided we needed to get it out again and give it a chance. We're glad we did because we love it now. Hopefully our videos will help you and you won't have the same trouble that we did at the start.
+Charlotte phillips Its so frustrating when that happens. We didn't know that there were two models when we bought ours and we would have bought the dearer model. But the one we have works well.
That's excellent Diana. I am sure you are going to love your machine as much as we do. Just to let you know that we have ScanNCut training courses available over on our training academy, Here is a link in case you are interested alandaonline.com
Thank you Kereti. Yeah, the accents a bit different. Can't make up it's mind what it wants to be. These machines are great for paper and fabric crafts.
Excellent, you are going to have so much fun with it. Here are some links to a couple of posts that may help you www.alandacraft.com/2016/06/19/brother-scanncut-how-to-transfer-cutting-files/ and www.alandacraft.com/2015/04/04/how-to-convert-svg-files-to-brother-scan-n-cut-fcm-files/. I'm not sure what type of iron on you are referring to. It will cut applique pieces with fusible web attached and it will cut heat transfer and adhesive vinyl.
Dam, that's a nuisance. Try Amazon or one of your local Brother ScanNCut stockists to purchase a blade holder for your particular model of the machine. Michael's or Joannes may stock them if you are in the US. We would buy one from Spotlight here in OZ.
+Clovathistles lol. Agree totally. This was one of our first videos and we have learnt a lot since then. Just check out our latest videos and you will see the change. (for the better I hope)
It does. You can scan an image into the machine to cut it out or you can simply use it as a scanner. I got the 100 and paid more than the second and improved one. It came with purple cutter. I ordered the other things from Amozon.

I’ve just ordered my scan and cut and your video has been very helpful. Thank you

Very nice tutorial!! I just got a scan and cut so with your help I will be ready to begin!!
Millie Garner Glad we could help Millie. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Do you have to select the Cut settings like in the cameo or does it automatically know what type of material you put in? Thank you
For this older machine, yes, you do need to select the cut settings for it. For the new ScanNCut DX model, it is done automatically.
Do you have a video on Scan’n’cut showing how to cut stamped images without the white border around the image, etc?
Great tutorial i havent got one but saw one on sale and wondered what it was. I'm loving the OZ/NZ mix accents
Thank you Kereti. Yeah, the accents a bit different. Can't make up it's mind what it wants to be. These machines are great for paper and fabric crafts.
I just purchased one of these for a very reasonable price and I'm just wondering if there's a way to import designs from the computer? Thank you

Can this be used for clothing?
Can you use this machine for iron ons..???
I'm not sure what type of iron on you are referring to. It will cut applique pieces with fusible web attached and it will cut heat transfer and adhesive vinyl.
So are the blades proprietary?
I don't know if there are any alternative blades available for the ScanNCut. We use the proprietary Brother blades.

@@alandacraft thankfully looking at your vidéo i was able to know what it looked like
I found it
Very clear video. Thanks alot
How I can use my own Font? The Font from Brother are useless for me. How I can Upload new Fonts from the Internet?
lovely video but I think you need to decide who is doing what before you start! your both trying to get to the machine etc before each other lol

Oh I will look take care xx
Confusing to have two of you doing the demo. Thank you though for trying.
I thought it scanned?
It does. You can scan an image into the machine to cut it out or you can simply use it as a scanner. Here are some links on scanning www.alandacraft.com/2014/10/13/brother-scan-n-cut-tutorial-direct-cut-scanning-paper-fabric/, www.alandacraft.com/2015/10/13/brother-scan-n-cut-how-to-use-the-photo-scanning-mat/
Disappointed. I wanted to see how to scan a pix and then cut.
Why is there two persons. Its confusing. Re-do with one person please.🤔
