Yusra that would be nice, if the closest masjid from me, wasn’t 2.5-3 hours away. I live in a very rural town in America. So there is literally nothing or no one (at least openly) Islamic near. The way I found out and grew an interest in Islam, is by my boyfriend who came from Turkey to work in my town as a J1 visa student. Thanks for the suggestions! :) I just try hard to stay motivated to continue studying and researching! :) I hope everyone can pray for me to find my way. ❤️

It was so hard when I became muslim 1 because I'm the only muslim in my family and they would always make me seem like I'm crazy smh they're so lost it's sad.😔 May Allah guide them Ameen. But also the trials I've experienced definitely made me a stronger independent muslim. I feel like muslims need to keep in mind that none of us are perfect. Islam is perfect. We are not. So nobody should be quick to judge or advise another muslim except that their affairs are in order which they are not. 1 last thing, everything I went through as a new muslim always motivated me to be that muslim companion I needed when I first said shahada. We all need companions like us. We say want for your brother or sister what you want for yourself but do we really know what that even means ??

Assalamu alaykum sister, I'm a revert from America and discovered Islam over 3 years ago. Allah swt guided me then but for a long time I tried living a "double-life". Now as a practicing Muslim I understand how important it is to pray 5 times a day, and to fulfill the commandments of Allah to the best of my abilities. Living in a secular-based country and state at that I failed to realize what a blessing and guidance Allah has given me. He not only chooses whom He guides but also who He let's go astray. Allah SWT doesn't need us to worship Him but by the Mercy and Compassion He has He decided for me, you, and many others to be guided to truth entirely due to His love for us. He wants the best for us, but many people, cultures, and society want otherwise. They have agendas, Allah SWT does not. Where I live there is a smaller community of Muslims but for awhile now I've grown to realize that shouldn't stop you from flourishing and growing in the path of Islam. I really and truly appreciate the organic, authentic, dawah and advice you give your viewers. May Allah grant you Jannah and bless you for overcoming societal expectations. You are an amazing woman and sister. I wish myself and many other sisters. and even brothers were as straight-forward and understanding as you. The way you carry yourself, your speech, and intelligence is due to following the Prophet (saws) and by obeying the very basic principles of Islam. May Allah grant you more knowledge and help you further strengthen your iman and deen. Ameen.

@Carly Tomlinson I totally agree even in a secular muslim country with muslim majority i experienced something similar. My grandmother used to pray when i was a child . My dad and mom was not practising and when i grew up, i realised that i used to call myself muslim but was not praying simply because i was imitating my parents so my faith was just imitating my family but not real faith which must be accepted by reading and comprehending but most importanty practising this beautiful religion. In that sense i consider myself a revert since the day i started my 5 times daily prayers although i was born into the religion.

@Witness Truth Interesting. It makes sense because as you said children have no responsibilities. One of the 3 things Allah SWT doesn't hold a person accountable for their mistakes and sins are children, who have not gone through puberty. I am aware of the word fitrah and it seems very clear now thank you.

After a year of me being Muslim my friend showed great interest in Islam and I was teaching her about Islam and taking her to the masjid with me, but sadly she fell out of it and no longer calls her self a Muslim. The saddest part is she said that if she kept learning and going to the masjid she would probably still be Muslim. So sad, she went back to living a “normal” teenager life and stoped believing in any religion... may Allah SWT guide her heart. ❤️

Ma shaa Allah, I’m so happy that you talked about it. I agree with everything that you said. I’ve been a muslim for 7 years, alhamdulillah. I had to learn most things by myself, when I moved to the UK I was so excited that I was going to live in a place with many muslims and mosques, but the first years here were disappointing and depressing. The sisters don’t talk to me, the mosques are full of brothers and sisters that keep staring at you as if you’re an alien, or in some mosques the sisters don’t go because they say the best place for a woman to pray is at home. In my country born muslims don’t talk to reverts, they don’t reply the salams, when it’s eid they eat first and leave the rest for the reverts or they have 2 different rooms for the party, 1 with born muslims and other one for reverts. The only thing that can help us to not give up on our religion is getting knowledge, learning our rights and duties as muslims, and we have to always keep in mind that Allah for us is sufficient. May Allah make things easy for all reverts 🌹

    • @amirah_costa

false sects like shia are judeo made walaykum salam! Yes, that’s what I say to new muslims who are worried about not having the strength to give up certain things, I tell them to not give up and do things slowly because the first muslims were not asked to give up on these things in the first day that Quran was revealed. It’s better to go slow and steady than fast and giving up after a short time.

I just say were engaged lol I'm not having a wedding though ah I just want to be in a community with sisters if lost all my friends last Ramadan I went to the mosque and also got ignored if been to Friday pray a few times with my husband and one time a laddy doing wudu spat on my right side when I was washing my feet I was pretty gutted I don't know if this was an insult or not but they were looking at my tattoos looking up and down at me , over the last couple months I'm just happy building my imam at home I think it's better this year my husband is away for Ramadan so I'll be alone I'll go to mosque because I want to be around people but it's going to be so hard with out him his my support his all ways told me just take each day and don't loose my identity I think as reverts we try take so much in so quickly and get overwhelmed I'd love to just have 1 sister as a friend tbh but I feel as though it's just not going to happen when born Muslims usually stick together as they grow up together :/ it's not there fault entirely I just would love to be in the community

On behalf of the WHOLE muslim ummah I apologise to you and every other revert that has been effected by the lack of resources to effectively learn about the religion of Islam and the hurtful words of other ignorant muslims. This is part of the reason i'm studying to become an Alimah, to provide a safe, non judgemental, easy to access course for new and longtime muslims. Thankfully the circle of people I surround my self with are very very welcoming to new muslims so I was shocked to here your and other new muslims accounts of how they've been "left out" of the muslim ummah, which is extremely disheartening considering the whole bases of Islam signifies the unity of muslims In sisterhood and brotherhood. However I'm very pleased to see that u still hold a non judgemental view on other muslims, even tho they may have treated u harshly before. With the help of Allah I hope to study hard and create a welcoming community of muslims around the world to spread the true message of islam, until I graduate assalamu alaikum x

I feel very fortunate at the beginning of my journey into faith I researched and found a local Islamic reading and prayer group that was mostly populated by reverts, anywhere from a few years to several decades into their relationship with Islam. They were all so sweet, including the non-reverts who attended, and they really helped me in the early stages, teaching me prayer and providing an offline community.

After getting the opportunity to attend an actual class offered on my college campus, I was able to be confident enough in my knowledge to take Shahada. The class builds on the core beliefs of Islam, and is such a blessing alhumdulillah.
This may be really specific, but for anyone in southern Ontario, there its this amazing program run by the organization 'i3, called Young Da'ee and it's offered in a handful of cities across the region! I know that's really specific but for anyone in southern Ontario, it's an amazing resource (for both Muslims, and those looking to revert!)

Good people have to make a concerted effort to go to masjids together bc hopefully you won't be banned from masjids, and you can help others meet. Maybe start study groups or prayer groups to encourage eachother to pray fajr and all salah on time. Eg. call eachother to make sure all sisters r praying on time.
Also not all Muslims from a Muslim background know a lot. Acceptance and knowledge are offered by the most sincere and more educated in Islam naturally. Even if they have some flaws in their character. We all need to be forgiving of others too. Allah bless reverts with more ilm and patience.

Id argue the reason why some newly converted Muslims end up leaving Islam soon after is because they did not understand it in the first place and were focusing on the branches of the religion too much. My advice for every new convert, leave the branches aside, dont go into Islamic law or Islamic rulings, start by first learning TAWHEED (Islamic monotheism), learn who Allah is, what He wants from us, slowly start memorizing the surahs every Muslim should know like Fatihah and Ikhlas. Then start focusing on praying 5 times a day and making it a habit. You slowly put small doses of Islam into your live until eventually you're living the life you're suppoused to.
Oh and learn Islam from traditional Islamic books, don't revolve around the internet. Much of Islam is not on the internet or hidden away, and most of the things we see of it is negativity. May Allah guide us and protect us.

However, I feel empty about the religion but I wish I could get support to Learn and Understand Islam.
So far in the past hours have been over the Internet trying to figure out where to learn from, good enough I found the Meaning of the name I chose (Abdul Rashid), and really as it means I have been "Rightly Guided".
I know it's a journey and am ready to further my learning. Assalamu alaikum everyone.

I’m 17 years old and I’m a foster kid I’ve been trying to find my faith for a few years now and I’ve spent about a year in a half contemplating weather or not I should revert. When I attempt to get help from adults with this struggle they tend to all say the same thing “don’t worry about that now, faith comes with age” or “you are to young to decide that” I honestly feel so discouraged.

I've been Muslim for 10 years, I've been a hijabi for as long and niqabi for 8 and I also get those downs in my iman, it's a "normal" thing, we all have those, but sisters and brothers, do not use this as an excuse to go back... I've heard so many sisters leave Islam because "they didn't have friends to go to the mosque with" or "their friends were too busy to hang out" I have not had any friends to help me with Islam, my husband did when we married and I had already learned on my own prior to even becoming Muslim, I might have thought him more than he has thought me... The Muslim "friends" I did have promised heaven and earth, but were never actually there when I needed and I just learned to go on my own and try to be present for any reverts that need help. I cannot say I wasn't lonely, still feel very much so now, but just remember, most Prophets alayhim salam were alone, their families persecuted them, their friends abandoned them and they did not stray. I know we are not Prophets, but trust me, if Allah subhana wa ta'ala chose YOU to be guided it's because He is on your side.

Even in the Ummah, we have internal problems too. Some just stop learning, some have doubts but brush it off. When reverts come maybe it makes them realize how ignorant they have been or it makes them aware about the doubt rooting in their hearts. That's why avoiding the reverts is the way they choose.

But now that I am 17 and trying to pray and gain knowledge about Islam in general it’s really hard as I get judged a lot. People always say “how do you not know the Quran and how comes u don’t pray” things like this has put me off and I felt like I wasn’t meant to be a Muslim as they say I’m basically not a Muslim for not praying but Alhamdulillah now I started praying and we really need masjids to accept young practising youth into the community. This video has made me realised how much people in my community are judgemental anyways this has helped me a lot thank you sis❤️❤️❤️ May Allah bless you and the ummah. Please pray for me inshallah

One of my best friends was going to but one mosque we went to together turned her off of it because they wouldn't let her in the women's prayer space without hijab and skirts!!! And she isnt Muslim. She just wanted to listen and watch. It took a lot of effort to get her to even walk in the door and encourage her over a year of talking to her about islam and her asking questions and learning from me and all of that was ruined in 5 minutes.

I just discovered your channel today and I’ve been watching many of your videos since then. You’re such an inspiration to us. Mashallah allah blessed you with such a strong emaan, I really envy u. We have a proverb in Arabic says she’s one woman but she worths a thousand man= means she’s as strong as a thousand man in action and deeds. And you’re one woman who worths a 1000 man. Islam is strong when Muslim women are strong. When prophet Mohammed (pbuh) got prophesied for the first time he went home and he was shaking and told his wife Khadeeja about it, she believed him and supported him. Another proverb in Arabic say behind the success of every great man is a woman. The point is we need more women like you to be strong again.May Allah grant you Jennah you and your whole family and keep you on the straight path and keep you always humble.

9-11 is a Judeo PNAC inside job May Allah SWT guide us all! Salafi is a new age version of Islam. It is the reductionist who made the religion suit their purpose. If Saudi royal family is an indication of Slafism then there is no need to to argue. Their affluent life; associations with the govt who are spending billions of dollars to kill Muslims around the world, their indifference and lack of empathy towards other Muslim nation, their internal corruption etc etc is reason enough to know who the salafis are and why they are refuting the Sunnan of Prophet SAW.

Holding one of the biggest western music festival there as we speak (which by the way is a demonic act) and also to have the first woman Artificial Intelligence made in Saudi Arabia is bidah enough for A lot of us.
Honouring Prophet SAW’s birthday is a celebration which has only good side effects like feeding the poor and fasting if you may. We cook a humble meal and share it amongst our family and neighbors and pray nafel and send Salawat to the best creation of Allah As wa Jaal. What a beautiful bidah!

    13- O God, make
the wishing, the doubt, and the envy which Satan throws into my heart
    a remembrance of Thy mightiness,
    a reflection upon Thy power,
and a devising against Thy enemy!
Make everything he causes to pass over my tongue,
    - the indecent or ugly words, the maligning of good repute,
    the false witness,
the speaking ill of an absent man of faith
or the reviling of one present,
and all things similar - a speech in praise of Thee,
    a pursual of eulogizing Thee,
    an excursion in magnifying Thee,
    a thanksgiving for Thy favour,
    an acknowledgement of Thy beneficence,
and an enumeration of Thy kindnesses!
14- O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
let me not be wronged while Thou canst repel from me,
let me not do wrong while Thou art powerful over holding me back,
let me not be misguided while Thou art able to guide me,
let me not be poor while with Thee is my plenty,
let me not be insolent while from Thee comes my wealth!
15- O God, I come to Thy forgiveness,
I go straight to Thy pardon,
    I yearn for Thy forbearance,
and I trust in Thy bounty,
but there is nothing with me
to make me warrant Thy forgiveness,
    nothing in my works
to make me merit Thy pardon,
    and nothing on my behalf
    after I judge my soul
    but Thy bounty,
so bless Muhammad and his Household
and bestow Thy bounty upon me!
16- O God, make my speech be guidance,
    inspire me with reverential fear,
give me success in that which is most pure,
and employ me in what is most pleasing to Thee!
17- O God, let me tread the most exemplary path
and make me live and die in Thy creed!
    18- O God,
    bless Muhammad and his Household,
    give me to enjoy moderation,
    make me into one of
    the people of right behaviour,
    the proofs of right conduct,
    and the servants of righteousness,
    and provide me with
triumph at the place of Return3
    and safety from the Ambush!4
    19- O God,
take to Thyself from my soul
    what will purify it
and leave for my soul that of my soul
    that will set it right,
    for my soul will perish
    unless Thou preservest it!
20- O God, Thou art my stores when I sorrow,
Thou art my recourse when I am deprived,
from Thee I seek aid when troubled
and with Thee is a substitute for everything gone by,
    a correction for everything corrupted,
and a change from everything Thou disapprovest.
So show kindness to me with
    well-being before affliction,
    wealth before asking,
    right conduct before misguidance;
suffice me against the burden of shame toward the servants,
give me security on the Day of Return,
and grant me excellent right guidance!
21- O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
repel from me through Thy gentleness,
    feed me through Thy favour,
set me right through Thy generosity,
    heal me through Thy benefaction,
    shade me in Thy shelter,
wrap me in Thy good pleasure,
and give me success to reach
the most guided of affairs when affairs confuse me,
the purest of works when works seem similar,
and the most pleasing to Thee of creeds when creeds conflict!
    22- O God,
    bless Muhammad and his Household,
    crown me with sufficiency,
    place in me excellent guardianship,5
    give me to guide correctly,
    tempt me not with plenty,
    grant me excellent ease,
make not my life toil and trouble,
and refuse not my supplication in rejection,
for I make none rival to Thee
and I supplicate none with Thee as equal!
23- O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
    hold me back from prodigality,
    fortify my provision against ruin,
increase my possessions through blessing them,
and set me upon the path of guidance
through piety in what I spend!
    24- O God,
    bless Muhammad and his Household,
spare me the burden of earning,
and provide for me without reckoning,
lest I be distracted from Thy worship through seeking
and carry the load of earning's ill results!
    25- O God,
bestow upon me what I seek
    through Thy power
and grant me sanctuary from what I fear
    through Thy might!
    26- O God,
    bless Muhammad and his Household,
    save my face through ease,
and demean not my dignity through neediness,
lest I seek provision from those whom Thou hast provided
and asks for bestowal from the worst of Thy creatures!
    Then I would be tried
by praising him who gave to me
    and afflicted
with blaming him who held back from me,
while Thou - not they - art patron of giving and holding back.
    27- O God,
    bless Muhammad and his Household
    and provide me with
    soundness in worship,
    detachment in renunciation,
    knowledge put into action,
    and abstinence in measure!
    28- O God,
seal my term with Thy pardon,
verify my expectation in hoping for Thy mercy,
smooth my paths to reach Thy good pleasure,
and make my works good in all my states!
29- O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
    incite me to remember Thee
    in times of heedlessness,
    employ me in Thy obedience
    in days of disregard,
open a smooth road for me to Thy love,
and complete for me thereby the good
of this world and the next!
    30- O God,
and bless Muhammad and his Household
    the best Thou hast blessed
any of Thy creatures before him
    and wilt bless
    any of them after him,
and give to us in this World good,

Go back to allah and keep doing that if you die in that state that doesn’t make you a hypocrite it makes you أواب ( awwab: the one who turn always to Allah ) allah said in the Quran: Declare to My servants, that I am truly the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. I KNOW PRACTICING ISLAM DUTIES LIKE DAILY PRAYERS IN TIME, DOING ABLUTION IS SOME HARD ESPECIALLY EARLY MORNING PRAYER FAJIR BUT WHEN YOU ACKNOWLEDGE ALLAH BLESSING ON YOU IT WILL PUSH YOU TO STRUGGLE FOR DOING WORSHIPS WHEN YOU REMEMBER YOU EATING YOUR DAILY FOOD WHICH COMES FROM ALLAH AND WATER, WHEN YOU SEE HOW YOUR BODY WORKING AND FUNCTION AFTER YOU EAT AND DIGESTING THE FOOD, WHEN YOU FEEL THE BLESSING OF LIFE ALL OF HARDSHIP OF WORSHIPING IS NOTHING ...... ALSO WHEN YOU KNOW ALLAH GREAT REWARD IS ETERNAL LIFE IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT TO STRUGGLE .

intresting subject good sister sam..i have a point you didnt tallk about..and i think with a humble minde its a part of this subject too..politics the enviroment the world order have impact on this subject ..the new brothers and sisters in islam as you said will have lonely times..you need and enviroment that guide you in this journey of knowing learning getting knowledge about islam one of things that help is getting accece to go and live in muslim country so you can learn and have the enviroment to feel exepted that help in this journey..now you cant you need visa according to the world order..dectatorships ruine the experience of that like in MENA "middle east and north africa countrys" the right to live and starting a life there even for the people living there with all the rights that human needs cant get it there or here sincevi am living there in MENA..the media have impact too..this topic i can tallk about it for years..you know the USA politic thingy to fight terrorism according to there explanation of it..have impact in this too..now the dectatorships in MENA are lobbying in west countrys to hunt down the effort to spread islam..like UAE egypt KSA governments and what they lobby for in UK against muslims brother hood and there effort to help new muslims..the supporting of the chainese government to destroy muslims in china like that assholes royal family in KSA and that prince killer the jornalist killer in turky..so many things that have impact on muslims that effects new muslims too in not direct way..ah guys..i can tallk about this for days..for now i think and couple years to come since muslims in muslim country have big problems as i said..i think the burden for the convert brothers and sisters muslims is heavy to guide other like them and help them..but all this gonna change it will be years but its gonna change and i ask allah this change gonna be sooner

“The systems in masjids are corrupt, the community there are rude and people are judgemental” ...”I’m not saying All mosques, all communities and all the people”!!!! So why are you starting with such GENERALISING and JUDGEMENTAL statement to then say not all, start with saying SOME! Most of us Muslims in the West are already having so much problems, most of the communities come as refugees and trying to survive and like to keep their heads down. Not saying that is a good thing, but they don’t need such generalising statements from other Muslims. “People are harsh on new Muslims”, SOME Muslims are harsh and judgemental to me as a born Muslim. Then I have to deal with anti Islam sentiments, followed by racism followed by staying in a county that doesn’t count me as one of theirs no matter what I do. At the end I’m doing it for Allah so I don’t care if others supports me or not! I will seek knowledge and struggle in my way and Im certain my beloved Allah will always pave the way for anyone seeking to find him as he promise (والذين جاهدوا فينا لنهدينهم سبلنا) and the ones who struggle in our path we will pave the way for them (or guide them). Live in our place also, most of us here came from war zones leaving loved ones behind, most of them died, then we are here even lonelier, BUT we don’t blame anyone nor other Muslims. It is my journey, my path to Allah and I will fight every step of the way to get to him. If I was back in my country living in peace abd saw a new revert I’ll welcome him or her to my home as a brother or a sister. Even here in the West I’ll do it. My sister in this journey, stay strong and know most of us born Muslims are struggling even more.....والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

A lot of people don’t understand that reverts are as muslims as born muslims, it doesn’t matter when did you become a muslim what matters is that you found your faith, I hope one day we can all understand each other and I apologize for any revert who received any kind of hate messages from born muslims. I admire every single one of you for your strength of going through a life changing experience all by yourself without being surrounded by a muslim community, you’re an inspiration. May Allah bless you and guide us to be better.

I feel like there's been a rash of people converting over the lifestyle almost? Like they equate Islam with modesty and decent living, and it's almost as if it's more about that than it is about Allah swt? It genuinely scares me when I talk to people who converted because of that and have this strange emotional response, not that we shouldn't have emotional responses, but it doesn't feel stable and I'm so worried that as life gets harder and harder, those emotional responses will change and the person might leave the deen, may Allah prevent that. I've even seen someone thinking she should just go ahead and become Muslim when she didn't even really believe in the message of Allah yet! This is what happens when we emphasize the outside to the detriment of the heart of Islam.

hanzala omar I simply changed my mind. I stopped filling my head with hate because I couldn’t bear it anymore. So I started re studying Islam from the beginning. I’m not against it, but I’m not like before o converted where I was really religious. Now I’m way more chill, and I interpret Islam together with the study of philosophy and anthropology.
