- A holiday in Scarborough in 1967 and 1968.
Scarborough is a resort town on England’s North Sea coast. Its 2 bays with sandy beaches are split by a headland bearing the 12th-century Scarborough Castle. The Victorian Central Tramway funicular train links the town centre with South Bay and its harbour. The Rotunda Museum explores local coastal geology. Scarborough SEA LIFE Sanctuary’s marine displays and the Peasholm Park Japanese gardens are behind North Bay. Спорт
Brings back memories of my time in Scarborough. I was 14 in 1967, and left in 1971.
I want to go back in time to "Minxs', 1100's, Anglias and "Imps" That stuff was so nice to fix compared to the complicated mess that are cars today. Wonderful film, just great.
A 5 hour drive from outside Glasgow we love Scarborough 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Worked on this boat during the school holidays when I was a young teenager in 1956, Mop and bucket for the sick, and brasso for the copper. A shilling a day. Was in digs at 25? princess street. The Harbour master, Mr Flynn owned the guest house I was in. Wish I could go back in time....
Very good footage, visited yesterday place was buzzing. Yorkshire is a special place peeps.
I love these historic films we must ask what went wrong xxxxx

loved going here in the 70s ,even going on that boat coronia (though I always thought it was corona)--also remember the funfair at the end of south coast-now called luna park I think--it was jimmy corrigans way back in the 70s.also the funhouse just along from the old futurist theatre around about where Olympia leisure is now-also tramplines dug into the beach just along from where the old lifeboat station used to be
Enjoyed your video but what interested me most were............. the cars.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Scarborough, Pickering, and Whitby are all east of Toronto.
Was that the cricket festival? Any famous old Yorkshire players among them? It's a shadow of its former glory these days.
Geoffrey Boycott was one of those Cricketers.

Back when Scarborough was a proper resort; not the shadow it is today in 2019
@@danzig159 Its not a city, its a seaside town with a population of around 40k
@@danzig159 What the hell has Ontario got to do with anything? This video is about the proper Scarborough, the one in North Yorkshire England.
@@danzig159 If you are going to comment, at least do it about the correct Scarborough.
