So glad to see you back!!! Have enjoyed all the videos that you have posted over the past years. I am am still Trucking it up and approaching 47 years in the trucking industry. Will be retiring in December of this year and have 4.7 million miles. Doing safety and fleet maintenance inspections on 150 tractors and 400 trailers in our location.

Great to have you back Jack. Doing wheel seals , providing brake drum looks good, I jack both sides of axle and use a pallet jack to lift duals a bit and pull out whole hub and wheels in one go. Just roll it back in axle shaft will still be centre of hub and less chance of damaging seal going back in. Saves ya back and its cleaner than using a greasey plate to slide em off. Doing wheel align I have a tool that srews on the axle shaft with a pointer on it that gets the tape out side of the wheels which is a closer tolerance . Then I use a trammel to go from centre front axle to centre rear axle usually very close. You still love ya cats HaHaHa

That tape measurement to the front axle was off by one inch from left to right! Play back your tape snd check it.

Well Jack !!! Being a " Mechanic"" B/4 going into ""OTR" driving has an advantage as to what to look for when you do your "DOT" Inspection !! 🙂🙃😉 Back in the day ,,there were dirt shields or backing plates on the axles to keep dirt out of the drums & most Cos. took them off to keep the brakes cool when heavy braking like in the mtns. & city driving !! Leaking wheel seals is most likely caused by improper bearing settings as will wear the seal out in a hurry !! 🤔🙄🤥 Have "FUN "" with your ""NEW"" Office Cat !! HAHA 👍👍👍👍👍

I'm so glad to see you are ok, Jack... just a thought that maybe the tractor tandems are out of wack..but the trailers! So when are we going to see some good lunch sandwiches again? Does your company dispatch RGN double drop trailer drivers? I do lots of military loads.
Good point about the tandems. Yes we dispatch those kind of trailers if you have your own.

The first measurement was 35' 8 and 3/8" as it appeared to be taken well below below the horizontal centre of the axle. The second measurement appeared to be 35' 9" and 3/8" - that's 1" deviation?

14:37 was the trailer loaded when it was dog legging? Every time I’ve had to pick up a load of those big paper rolls at a paper plant. My trailer will start dog legging, but as soon as I’m empty, it drives straight as an arrow.
The driver said it was at various times. We have thought about that also.

We have mostly owner-operators that drive for us. We are a trucking company.
What kinda trucks do yall guys have for lease, do yall guys happen to have any hood trucks ?
