Thanks for sharing that you have a wig on, I would never have guessed. Looks completely natural. I’m 59 & been wearing toppers for at least 20yrs now. Actually I started out w/ clip-on bangs.
Have had bangs since childhood then as I got older felt I had a very high forehead. Had a spot that I must’ve gotten a small scar on or burnt badly w/ a curling iron so really I started getting tech hair to fill in the spot a bit. This is where the technician hand ties 3 hairs to every one hair. It was very time consuming, expensive & grew out. Along the line I graduated to clip on bangs. Eventually was brave & my hair dresser introduced me to toppers. Was very nice but I did not end up finally wearing it for well over a year. I just was not used to this much hair & felt self/conscious & awkward when I would put it on. When I finally wore it, I gradually started getting used to it. Then began buying them on my own b/c less expensive & started cutting my own bangs in. I’ve now become tired of them as I feel they have less options/styles than a wig might. I want to make the leap to wigs but don’t feel ready. I’ve tried them on & they feel strange & I worry they will make me hot. as I already am! Don’t know much at all about wigs. I think if I can get over the learning curve & find a good wig stylist I can adjust.
I always had horrible fine, dry & unruly hair becoming worse as I age & now hate dealing w my hair. Make up I enjoy.
You are inspiring me to give wigs a try! Wanted to share for those desiring to take any type of jump w/ “helper hair”
I was also self conscious that be would know. Will save that for another time. As I get older, I am less self conscious but not completely!
Hi MaryKay, thank you so much for visiting and sharing about your helper hair. It can be a bit difficult at first to adjust. There is certainly a learning curve. I have another channel, Marlene's Wig and Chat Studio, where I show different wigs, discuss them, etc. I also have videos on that channel that may be helpful such as a Beginners Guide to Wearing Wigs and What I'd Wish I'd Known when I started wearing wigs. Those two videos may be helpful. Also, I'm the lead admin on a private FB group: Wigstudio1 Wig and Topper Support Group. We have over 23.000 members who share their wigs, toppers, ask questions, and our members are supportive and helpful. You can post if you'd like or just read through the posts. Marlene , I haven't been here in a while, and I thought this was your real hair! You look spectacular! I wear the Dior Forever Foundation and absolutely love it! I got it on recommendation from Angie Hot and Flashy. I also use the Charlotte Tilbury finishing powder. I just got it and love it! You know you make me want to wear wigs but I have great hair and had cut it to my shoulders and that was a mistake because I love to style it in different ways. I do get it colored every 5 weeks because it's totally white, I believe. I'm definitely not ready for that, though so many people try to talk me into it! Good to see you! I just received the Fiera concealer that you recommended a few days ago and it is MAGIC! I can't believe how it conceals the dark circles under my eyes without creasing. It is amazing, and I thank you for the recommendation!!!

I certainly don't purchase eyeshadows every week as I used to. Now, I'll purchase 1 or 2 palettes every 3 or 4 months if something catches my eye. I hope all is well with you! xoxo Marlene

I haven't used the Armani in a few years so I can't talk about it; however, Chanel No1 is great for dry skin if you want a light-medium coverage, and if you want full coverage, the YSL is a beautiful foundation. Just make certain to get the Radiante Matte in the YSL. The original may be too drying for you. xoxo

Thank you again for a wonderful video. For some reason these kind of videos relax me as well as watching you on your wig channel. I started wearing Narciso Rodriguez Narciso Poudree about a month ago and have fallen in love with that fragrance. My signature fragrance which was Decadence was retired a while back and has been replaced by this one. It's a wonderful fragrance! I’d also love to know what your favorite eye liner is? Since I’ve gotten older and my lids are drooping more I have a hell of a time with liner smudging. Hi Pam, I have a few get ready with me (GRWM) videos, but I haven't recorded one in a while. I did just purchase some new making and will be recording one this week. I don't use eyeliner because my eyes are so hooded, but to extend the wear of shadows I use an eye primer. There are a few on the market. Personally, I use the Too Face eye primer. xoxo Marlene
