I own two of this little rifle. Ruger model Ninety six. Caliber 0.17 hmr. Very reliable rifle. I wish Ruger would make similar guns in heavier calibers like 0.223/5.56, 22-250. I'd be there like a hawk 😎 Unfortunately it doesn't look like that. So for the time being, I am looking for a Henry Long Ranger which are a similar(-ish) weapon with detachable mag instead of old style pibe mag.
They sold an absolute shitload of these in Australia before they got discontinued.
I believe Troy Landry uses one of those for dispatching ‘gators on the show Swamp People. Great find!
