This is one of my very favorite talks. It simply grounds me. It makes thing simple. You go where you are looking. Get on course, stay on course, finish the course. Now that I am on course these are beautiful marching orders and I look forward to being valiant in this.
I didn't know about this talk! Elder Corbridge is one of my favorite speakers and I treasure each of his talks.
Thank you for giving me something to focus on while my oldest child serves her full-time mission across "the pond" from us.

Man! This was like taking in a Stake Conference Saturday and Sunday! Absolutely awesome! Absolutely awesome!
This is an amazing talk and the Q&A afterwards. I have several children, half are very active and half have left the Church. I’ve noticed that the children who are active chose to be active and the children who are inactive chose to be inactive. I have also had many experiences in the Church, both inspiring and sometimes challenging my desire to remain active. And again, I have also chosen to remain active in the Church. This is what I learned: The Church is true. It is the Lord’s Church. But it is filled with imperfect people who can sometimes make mistakes, or they make decisions that I think are mistakes. But I’ve also said or done things that hurt others ‘ feelings. Hopefully no one has ever left the Church because of my actions or words.
I just found this talk as well and it makes my heart sing!!
I have treasured (great word) Elder Corbridge’s talks to. Someday I want to take the time to put his “Stand Forever” BYU Devotional into a graphic organizer. I absolutely love how he structured that talk. I love how solid he is, no wavering. I’m so happy that we can hear him speak again 😊❤️‼️

What a treasure to stumble up on another one of Elder Corbridge's talks! They are my go to talks when I need courage and comfort. His talk "The Way" has literally carried me for the past 16 years. This talk culminates it all into his powerful testimony & witness of Jesus. I believe, as he said, that our tears were the rain falling to earth when HIS great mission was accomplished. Stay the course. Never give up. And you will make it! 🥰 JESUS is our Absolute One Sure Hope.
That question about Adam and Eve was one I carried with me for years. I received a satisfactory answer from the Holy Ghost while going through the temple for my Endowment. This was a secondary question and I am grateful it was answered but I was fully prepared to wait until the afterlife to find out. It did not affect my faith in the primary truths.
I just prayed to understand these very principles. Because by our very nature there is right and wrong, and therefore a judgement needed. I’ve been practicing judging the good vs bad principle rather then just the weak moment of a good person. This is so beautiful and rings with truth and strength. My heart is aligned with yours. Thank you so so much.
As if the talk wasn't inspiring enough on its own merits, we then add our own testimonies and share this with others!
What an edifying, sanctified and incremental increase of consecration our Dear Lord and Our Father truly desire for c each of us.
I'm go grateful to Our Savior, I have not the words to adequately express my gratitude for his loving grace and eternal, infinite sacrifice for us!

Elder Corbrige's answer when he said how do I distinguish between my thoughts and the thoughts, ideas, and help that comes from the Lord... I myself err on giving the Lord credit for solutions that come to me, for answer and good ideas. To me, recognizing the still small voice of God that come to me almost imperceptibly, acknowledging that it is the Lord helping me, thanking Him for helping me hear Him, and for His help, AND writing down... recording my experience with the Lord's help ensures that He keeps speaking to me and helping me
I testify it is about settling in Gods rest. The end glory to all those who believe has been secured by Christ paying the cost of sin by death on the cross. Now we can freely live and rest with joy smelling the roses of love, acceptance and forgiveness.

Yes!!! Make your bed... this is also one of the first principles taught by AA. Can you imagine a room full of alcoholics and addicts being taught to make their beds??? But creating order out of chaos is the first sign of being teachable and the beginning of healing and He will give us " beauty for ashes". I testify this is true! I am a friend of Bill's and Jesus is a friend of mine...my Savior...my Redeemer...my Brother

When I pray, and I've asked this often to the Eternal Father, please bless me with 4 gifts, the gift of humility, charity, prophecy, and faith in Jesus Christ.
As for being more willing... I say to my Eternal Father, "I want to return to live with Thee, but I can't do it on my own, I need Thy help. Please help me be more willing, more humble, have the pure love of Christ more, and help me to always DO THY WILL
Get on course. Stay on course. Finish the course. I will make this my mantra.

This is exactly what I needed to hear today! I feel so blessed to have a testimony of these enlightened words about God our Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ in this darkened chaos of our world. In his first public address in general conference after 9/11, President Gordon B. Hinckley quoted from Joel 2: 28-30, and declared that it was “fulfilled.” As we draw closer to the Second Coming of our Saviour, our testimonies can be strengthened as we recognize the fulfillment of those ancient prophesies by following current events. “…that one jot or tittle should not pass away till it should all be fulfilled 3 Nephi 1: 25.”

My wife and I were completely prepared to endure and finish the course. That is, until we found out about the essays on religion, the multiple versions of the first vision, the book of Abraham, the change in narrative of the Book of Mormon being the story of native Americans, the “translation” of the book using the stone in a hat with the plates not even being in the room, early polygamy and manipulation of young teen girls to marry JS or he would be murdered by an angel, blacks and the priesthood, etc. The deeper we researched, the more disturbing it got. This was so disturbing, it shook us to learn of all the lies and things the church omitted to share.
We can not give another minute of time , another penny of our money, another word of testimony to this church which absolutely is NOT God’s restored gospel.
Even now, they hide their billions, they use billions of proceeds from tithes ti build malls where retail giants can have a state of the art facility to make even more billions. They use these funds that originally came from people who were struggling to make ends meet but were pressured to pay a full tithe so they could be members in good standing.
None of this seems Christ-like. The good feelings don’t exist anymore once we know the full truth.

I believe in God and Jesus.
Joseph Smith is not a prophet.
He did not restore God’s church.

And what do they do with the tithes? Most con artists use the money for selfish purposes. What does the church do that is so selfish?
