For those who are wondering why India's Relation got tensed after 1962 is because of continuous support to Pakistan in military and in 1971... It got the most worse due to sending 7th Fleet to destroy our country... However, after the defeat of Pakistan... USA and Bharat continued to improve relation and in 1991... We liberalise us... However there is a bit change in 1998 when we tested our nuclear weapons but after the deal in 2005 regarding nukes... Our relation improved and after 2014... We continue to be good friends

I thought Japan would not like USA in the 1920s, because it talked about that on Wikipedia that America angered them in 1924, but it looks like they where just like current Japan until 1931:(The More You Know)

Japan had been a friend of the USA since the opening of the country, but the Great Depression and the Great Kanto Earthquake brought out the worst in the Japanese economy. The US, which wanted an economic colony, and Japan, which wanted to weather the recession, were at loggerheads over their interests in China.
Wasn't Medvedev a fan of USA back in his presidency? From what I remember the relationships between two countries became pretty okay up until Putin was re-elected. From what I noticed in your video it's all about zones of influence.
At the beginning of his presidency the relations were good, but very quickly the US decided to capitalize on it with Georgia launching an attack on Abhazia and South Ossetia, and the US promised that Ukraine and Georgia will be in NATO. That was the red line and Putin probably intervened regardless of what Medvedev wanted.
But it did not ruin the relations entirely.
Later Russia abstained from vetoing the American intervention in Libya, China also abstained, which made this intervention technically legal.
Putin was pissed because this intervention destroyed yet another Russian arms buyer, but for some reason decided not to intervene unlike in Georgia, maybe he thought Russia is not ready yet.

you know, the Russian Empire actually never hated us, they had a neutral position on us, same goes for the Ottoman Empire, the Ottomans supported the Union during the Civil War, and they still supported the U.S.
Russia got kind of pissed off at Teddy Roosevelt for a while about how he negotiated the peace in the Russo-Japanese War, IIRC. We never were in danger of going to war though, to my knoweldge. Relations with the Russians were probably at their best from 1860s-1882, when Czar Alexander II was on the throne. He was a reform-minded monarch who admired Lincoln (and similar to how Abe freed the slaves, he moved to liberate the serfs from the nobles, which enraged them understandably). He even had fleets help guard America's coasts during the Civil War when it looked like the British might intervene on behalf of the Confederacy.
What about Woodrow Wilson? Eh he probably didn’t piss off Russia since the US joined World War I, and the fact that Russia was having their own civil war

Actually, the Russian Empire and the U.S were besties, and even the USSR had neutral/good relationship with the U.S at the beggining, but everything changed after the WW2 ended.
@@marcydiaz6950 Eh, the USSR HATED America up until like the 30s (and to an extent, vice versa). The U.S. government directly assisted the White Army during the Russian Civil War (hoping a republic or constitutional monarchy would win out). As a matter of fact, there were no diplomatic relations between the US and Soviet Union until FDR established them not long after taking office IIRC. After that, it was rollercoaster relationship until World War II, then they liked us temporarily, and then...we opposed their Communist spread goals. Instantly we became enemy number one. Britain became enemy number two by 1950, when it became clear that they would side with us in 90% of these matters (plus, they directly joined us in the Korean War, showing the world that their support for our anti-Communism activity went all the way).
