While the entire premise for the events of the book actually happening is absurd, your analysis of how this happens makes a lot of sense. For the sake of sticking to the storyline, a lot of factors are to be ignored but the situation faced by countries before 1940 may make it possible for a slightly smaller version of such events to happen. Overall, great video. Kudos!
His video is pretty good, my one complaint is Chile being an ally member. They had good relations with Germany, and though they did join the war later as an Ally member, it was after Germany surrendered and Japan was the last member of the axis.
Another really absurd thing I noticed is that the world was shown to be less modernize than today which shouldn't be true because Germany was more advanced
The problem with "the Axis wins WW2" scenarios is that they require a long series of wildly improbable events. The events in this video are not only improbable they are impossible. The whole US Navy was not at Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941. Not even the whole Pacific Fleet was at Pearl Harbor.

Even if the US lost 3 entire Pacific fleets, their combined industrial and economic might was such comparatively speaking, that they could have been easily rebuilt before Japan even touched the mainland. We've never even approached a scenario where the USA entered "total mobilisation". The Man in the High Castle is a nice fictional series but very improbable. The North African theater was unsalvageable even with Rommel leading it, that should tell you something. Admiral Yamamoto said it best: "We have 6 months." He was probably the only man who truly knew what he was talking about in regards to the Axis view of America. Your video was interesting to watch though, thumbs up for the great work.
There is no way they could have rebuilt multiple fleets in the time it would take Japan to sail across the Pacific should such losses be suffered. Where do you buy your weed lol
@@brettvogel8418 You seem to think that the lack of a fleet would make this a road trip for Japan. Think again. There would have been many important strategic bases to take along the way, most notably Guam and Midway. Japan was over extended already and suffering from a desperate lack of crude oil from prolonged US embargo. That was the whole reason for the Pearl Harbor "gamble" in the first place. Taking into account it's own losses, the need for repairs... taking these, taking Hawaii etc. would not have been that easy. The main point to remember is that the US could replace their losses fairly easy and somewhat quickly. Japan could not. It lacked oil, it lacked steel and coal, etc. all which America had in abundance. It's industry could simply not compete. I can't link sources here, youtube doesn't like links sadly, but the by the end of the war, the US could produce a carrier every month or so. It owned 70% of the world tonnage in fleet capacity and about 50% (yes, 50) of the industrial capacity of the entire planet at the time. Each defeat would have ramped up war support considerably among the American public. It would no longer be perceived as a "foreign" conflict but a fight for survival at that point. Japan simply never had any hope to invade the continental United States. Even their most optimistic previsions simply seeked to inflict enough casualties to discourage the american public from supporting further interventions abroad and seek a negotiated settlement. Me thinks you've been playing too much HOI4 if you think it would have been that quick and easy.
@@robertbastiencote4284 sounds to me those problems would be solved by taking out 3 fleets man. You're acting like that wouldn't be a devestating loss.
@@brettvogel8418 Don't get me wrong, it would be. Just not a crippling one. I think you are undervaluating one factor: I didn't specify what state the Japanese fleet would be in after those 3 battles. Even with some kind of miracle scenario, I don't see it as being combat worthy after those engagements. Those deficiencies I mentionned would affect repair capacity as well. More repairs mean more time for the US to recover. Besides even if all the stars aligned and a litteral divine wind took down those fleets for them, no Japanese admiral would just rush to the mainland trying to invade a country of a 130 million people with at least 6 times it's own industrial capacity while leaving pockets of resistance behind that could threaten it's own supply lines. It would be suicide. It was never their objective in the first place anyway. I mean even with the situation reversed, complete mastery of the sea and air dominance, 2 nuclear bombs were dropped instead of attempting to invade. That should tell you something about the difficulty and complexity of launching such an operation sucessfully.
The music you chose for the background audio for this vid is absolutely PERFECT!!! I cannot explain it, but the sort of "hollow desolation" and strange sadness to the music perfectly encapsulates the feelings that such an alternate world/timeline would invoke if one were there!

Brazil also had important members of its government with ties to the Nazi regime and only entered the war as an “Allied” after the US pressured the Brazilian government to do so. I believe that in this scenario, Brazil would be more likely to join the Axis like Argentina.

It's pretty well done, but I think there's something to keep in mind: the vast majority of experts say that if the Germans had reached the Suez Canal, closing it to the Allies, that was the moment when Spain would have entered the Axis, because otherwise That way the Mediterranean was closed for the Allies, leaving it like a lake for the Axis. In fact, the then Chief of Operations of the General Staff of the Spanish Navy, Luis Carrero Blanco (who would later be known as Franco's right hand man, being the first president appointed by Franco after establishing the separation of the posts of Head of State and President of the Government), wrote in 1940 the report that convinced Franco to leave Spain out of WW2. However, in that same report he recommended Spain's entry into the war as soon as the Germans reached Suez, since then Spanish neutrality would be viewed with suspicion, both by the Axis and by the Allies, and both sides had already shown they had no scruples in violating the neutrality of third countries (We all know how the Axis acted throughout WW2, but the Allies aren't innocent either: the German invasion of Norway was brought forward in response to the leaks of Allied plans to invade Norway to prevent the obtaining of Swedish iron ore, and in 1941 the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran happened) Therefore, the entry of Spain would not have had to wait so many months (from the German arrival at Suez in October 1942 until the Spanish entry into the war, according to the video, in May 1943), which would have caused a British reaction, at least with a landing attempt on the Canaries, the Azores, Cape Verde, Madeira and the Gulf of Guinea islands (the Spanish Fernando Poo and Annobon, and the Portuguese Sao Tome and Principe) to ensure the maritime route on the African coast of the Atlantic. Probably the small and weak response of the Portuguese government to the British invasion of its Atlantic archipelagos would cause the perfect excuse for Spain to invade mainland Portugal. On the other hand, it is most likely that Franco and many Falangist elements in his government and army took advantage of the situation to annex Portugal, and not just its African colonies. They would have also taken the opportunity to annex the Oran region of French Algeria, since 75% of the European population of that territory was of Spanish origin; and all the territories claimed at that time by the Sultanate of Morocco: the whole of Mauritania, part of French Algeria (Tindouf and Bechar) and northern Mali (including Timbuktu). I am also surprised that the African colonies of Cameroon and Congo are not joining, with the possibility of adding what we now know as the Central African Republic.
Great analysis! I think Franco tried his best to avoid participating in a war with a weaken and devastated post-civil war population with all its fresh instability and factions. Hitler was not a fan of Franco, so likely, Spain could have become a puppet state with a different leader, driving the invasion of Portugal and NW Africa and controlling Gibraltar straight as you mentioned
Ireland taking Northern Ireland seems very unlikely to me given the state of its military, I find it more likely that as the British start to get more desperate they would temporarily annex Ireland as they did with Iceland to prevent the axis from taking it. Honestly, the most absurd part of this all is Spain invading Portugal. These are two of the countries with the most mutual respect and appreciation in the entire world, plus at that time both of them were governed by dicators of similar ideologies (Franco and Salazar). One thing to keep in mind is that in the series, Hitler had films from various alternate realities (not just "ours"), letting him see what choices resulted in losses and which in victories. The only way this really works, however, is if he also passed some of that knowledge onto Japan.
Even if they would have taken Stalingrad, if would have been a loss. Russia singlehandedly beat the axis, with the Americans and Brits just helping it go faster. For the Germans to have won, they would've had to magically do everything right from 1940 onward. By 1942 the war was already lost.

Hey man, as a historian this video is awesome! First of all, the Das Boot music is one of the most underrated soundtracks in modern war films, and on top of that it’s also a great movie. Also your events, although miraculous for the axis, would’ve absolutely given them the upper hand in the war. Cheers! Prof. Demaitre Brock University
As long as the axis only declared war on one major empire at a time it would be possible for them to have a positive outcome but fighting them all at the same time would be physically impossible
My serious Two-Cents- while this RUclips vid is mostly realistic on how an Axis victory could/would happen; there were still some parts that I didn't think were realistic and would've gone like that, even in that alternate timeline... For one, Portugal had a Pro-Axis AND Pro-Franco government in power when WW2 broke out and in the early years of the war it tried to sit on the sidelines and play nice with both sides, until one side started winning -and it went with the winning side in our timeline. The same scenario would likely play out in the show/book's timeline too; it would've been a Pro-Axis ally that would have backed up Spain and eventually join the war with the Axis -once the Axis was winning the overall war. The author should've addressed the Battle of Dunkirk too; that early battle was actually a MAJOR bellwether on which way the war was going to go, and Britain winning it and being able to evacuate her troops in time -was a serious turning point in the war and insured that Britain was going to stay in the fight and gradually win; because before Dunkirk a portion of the British government was on the fence about continuing the war or opening peace negotiations with Germany -in the worst-case-scenario of France falling and the British/Allied Army getting crushed. Yet what if an additional point of divergence also played out in this timeline; Hitler goes with Goering's advice and continues the push into northern France and either ends up outflanking and capturing (or killing) the entire trapped British/Allied Army before they could reach Dunkirk and the northern coast? That worst-case-scenario for Britain would've had a demoralizing effect on it's people; many of the best and most experienced officers of the BA, along with a third of that army and other Allied forces -would be gone, and while Britain would still have her Navy; that's still a large chunk of her army and it's most experienced officers, commanders, along with their equipment and intelligence -all gone. In addition, the French resistance would too be demoralized and formation/organization of the Free French government either would have taken longer or would not have been able to effectively function. That scenario for Britain and France, and coupled with America staying neutral and not sending over supplies -would've GREATLY weakened Britain's overall military position on land; especially in the middle east and the Mediterranean. Even if Churchill still gave a defiant 'Never Surrender' speech and got his government to press on with the war -without a strong, large army in the field; she wouldn't be able to stop Rommel in North Africa nor wouldn't have been able to easily overthrow the Iraqi Pro-Axis government and also keep Iran in line and Syria and the middle east in Allied hands; instead. With this combined with a Japan that delays Pearl Harbor and invading the Philippines for another year and focuses solely on invading British/French colonies, hammering their shipping, and intimidating Australia and New Zealand -the bulk of the BA and her colonial forces would be tied up in defending home soil and preparing for invasion; in fact the British Navy would be the only factor stopping Germany from attempting Operation Sea Lion, and focusing the might of the Luftwaffe in Operation Barbarossa instead. With those factors combined, they influence the other factors of particular neutral nations and powers that were sitting on the sidelines and watching events to see which way the political and military winds were going to shift in the aftermath of the fall of France; Germany crushing the Allied armies in France would likely lead to Turkey joining the Axis during or perhaps shortly before Operation Barbarossa was launched (it would depend on whether Germany diplomatically negotiated with Turkey and was patient; or instigated a Pro-Axis coup and turned Turkey into a puppet state instead), nevertheless getting Turkey into the war on the side of the Axis would've served as a springboard for Germany to seize the entire Caucuses (including the Baku oil fields) during Barbarossa AND also to invade the middle east from the north and prop up Iraq and pressure Iran to join the Axis... unless Iran had it's own Pro-Axis coup by that point as well? So indeed; in terms of tactics & strategy for WW2 overall; Dunkirk was a serious bellwether, and an Axis victory at such an event would make the scenario in this vid very, very plausible. Still, not to tear down this author; some of the events and timeline is realistic and I agree that it would've likely happened if things turned out differently, and I give kudos to the author on that. The author is more then welcome to adapt some of what I'm saying into any new vids on these subjects as well.
I actually think that the axis wouldn't even have to put up a fight to.conquer Brazil, it would've joined them by free will, the regime was authoritarian, and the leader at the time was sympathetic to fascism. What bothers me is the fact they’re invading South America and South America being in the allies faction, had the Axis been winning south America would’ve automatically switched to their side with no hesitation as they had build relations with the Germans and Japanese years prior, the Germans and Japanese would’ve invaded through neutral Mexico instead of landing in the coasts because there is no way any invading force can attempt that without a land mass that is close enough for such move. Probably the Nazis in the Man in the High castle universe liked that term and decided to call themselves that, much like how the British in the American Revolution called the rebels as Yanks or Yankees and the early Americans were like “Hey its pretty catchy, lets have it as our nickname”
That's only in the show, for shock value and inaccuracy. In the book it's apparently "Greater Germanic Reich." And there is more complexity and different scenarios in the book apparently. @@Awakeningspirit20 Imo, realistically 'Greater Germanic Reich' would have likely been the name of the entire Third Reich in Europe & Africa (or the parts of it that it claimed); I know it sounds cheesy, yet I understand the logic of using the title 'Greater Nazi Reich' in the show as the official title of the ENTIRE Nazi empire for this reason; while the Aryan-German people make up a good chunk of the population of the GNR; the majority of the GNR population would still comprise of Non-Germanic Aryan-oriented races and ethnic groups in their empire -like the English, French, Italians, Swedes, Spanish, Portuguese, Finns, Icelanders, Scots, Afrikaners, French-Canadians, Arabs, etc. Therefore while not everyone of the GNR is a German Aryan; the GNR is still a One-Party state, hence ALL of the population are legally required to be members of the Nazi Party (or other national or related groups that are considered part, or in union with the Nazi Party); hence, the 'Greater Nazi Reich' is the title; because while not every GNR citizen is a German; every GNR citizen is (or is legally required to be) a Nazi.
As a Brazilian I say that the invasion of Brazil is distorted, Getúlio Vargas, President of Brazil only sided with the allies because he was pressured by D. Roosevelt, but as he was assassinated there was never what became known as the "good neighbor policy" . Furthermore, Vargas had good relations with the Nazis, who in the course of events would probably join them. If this did not happen, in the south of Brazil there is a large number of German and Italian immigrants, who could try to wage a second war of independence in the states of Santa Catarina, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul, in addition, the south of the country was the headquarters of the Nazi party in Brazil and also the Brazilian integralist party (our fascist party) which was banned, but a coup could easily occur in the capital Rio de Janeiro with German support, as there were several followers. I don't know if Brazil's invasion of the universe is talked about much, but what I'm saying could be more likely to happen by historical facts.
It is a bit hard to imagine how Germany would do a cross-ocean invasion of the US. Also hard to believe that a German aircraft with an A-bomb would make it to DC to drop that bomb against what no doubt would have been very intense air defense. And where would it have flown from?
I would of imagined that they would of used a V2 rocket of some sort or if this takes place in an era where Germany was able to produce all of these technological "super weapons". Then maybe they use "Horten stealth bomber". Thats the only realistic way I see it happening tbh
Germany was working on 2 or 3 long-range bombers to attack the US during WW2 but never got very far with them (excuse the pun) because they got bogged down in the USSR, and were ultimately defeated by them.

The PSA owns Baja, and Mexico was in the Allies. -Germany would NEVER EVER give up the rich resources in the Caucuses to Iran or Turkey or anybody else. And Turkey wouldn’t give up East Thrace. -The Great Basin States dont exist... -Italy owns Egypt and Germany owns Mittelafrika. -Central America is Japanese.
Amazing and well done video, though I have some grievances, how Mengjiang (Mengkukuo if you're a hoi4 nerd) was a Mongola puppet state that Japan created while conquering, it showed in the video that it never invaded Mongolia, still an amazing video and really greaat how there were buffer states, (and how some of them were countries lol)
To me some of the puppet states make no sense. Like I get it if places like Thailand or Russia or Amazonia are neutral zones states as Thailand is just an amazing neutral zone in general, but Pakistan and parts of America? That makes no sense as there are people there and it just looks like the perfect place for a resistance group to set up shop there. Sure the author who made the book probably made them so rebel groups can have a fighting chance (because everyone should hate the Nazis and fascists) but if this actually happened then I doubt that Neutral zones like that would be made, there would probably just be puppet states and demilitarized zones
I really hate these alt history scenarios that just go: “you know that battle. They actually won that.” And then have them overcome ridiculous obstacles with ease and win without challenge. Operation Sealion: Success! Nazi got nuke, nazi could support a cross Atlantic war America just gave up, what Royal Navy? Annex brazil!!! Guerrilla Warfare? Never heard of it! Seriously the Axis would’ve never taken the US or the UK. I think the HOI4 mod TNO: Last Days of Europe shows a more realistic take. Germany has massive territorial gains but they don’t have the entire fucking world. Russia is more or less a dozen warring states trying to reform the union. The UK never fell but is now shattered. Wales, England, Scotland, Ireland are all independent. US still stands and has a alliance with Mexico, Canada and Brazil, and remaining free commonwealth nations and colonies. The axis have never was even able to touch them. Japan took Philippians and other US islands but couldn’t take Hawaii or threaten the US mainland France is divided between a occupied Northern Zone and a southern Freestate Italy and Germany’s national interests diverted and are now rivals

Actually, Brazil was the first South American country to declare war on Germany on August 22, 1942, and they were the only South American country to fight in WW1. Argentina, Chile, and Paraguay were a lot more pro-German than Brazil.
Except the area of a larger axis territories in the Americas would easily surround the independent North and South American nations. Based on reality before WW2 many of the Latin American nations were also close to Germany.

As long as they had gotten Russia, they had enough troops to invade Russia but not enough to last if something would happen, that first winter just made everything go downhill
Wm Shirer author of "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" had a wonderful piece published in Look magazine in 1964 titled " What if the Axis won" It postulated an Axis victory IF Britain collapsed and allowed its massive fleet ( and of course, the defeated French fleet ) to join the Axis. I will never forget his sentence. " We { America} made good on most of our losses in the Pacific, but the combined German, French, and German fleets were just too much to bear" Really sobering and shows the incredible leadership of Churchill
Id say the reason that no other countries besides Germany and Japan are shown on the shows map is mainly just them making the people think they rule more than they actually do
If I recall the US was alone when invaded. AKA the invasion of the United States was also conducted on land since many of the bombers had to of been launched from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Cuba.
Interesting and well made video as it definitely tunes up to what's actually happened in the man in the high castle timeline.... but in reality it would have been impossible for the axis to occupy not one continent but several. The ordenence resources and troops in would take would be ridiculous.
Still incredible unbelievable, although I am glad that you did put SOME thought into it. Makes the hilariously ridiculous plot of Man in High Castle a little bit more believable.
South Africa - There was an attempt by Robey Leibbrandt, a South African Boxer of German descent. He was so impressed by Germany at the Berlin Olympic Games that he moved there and eventually joined the Wehrmacht. He was sent to SA to try and stage a coup d'etat with the support of local Pro-German groups. But was not very successful. In this timeline - he would probably had more luck. It wasn't that we liked the Germans, we just didn't like the British and didn't see the use of fighting in their war. That was my late father's reasoning - he was conscientious objector who spent the war working in the mines.
People have a tendency to talk about the USA production power and the failed campaigns in Africa. But you have to remember that even though this scenario is unlikely to have occurred a lot of things happened in history that seemed impossible. Like the fact that Britain managed to govern India despite it being much weaker than India at the time. There are more things at play than just physical strength. Sabotage, assassinations and psychological warfare plays a huge role for events to take place. So even though the United States had a huge industrial capacity to defend with perhaps they didn’t have the management to use that power, maybe their leaders got assassinated, perhaps the people didn’t think Germany was a problem and public support for the war fell. I’m not saying anyone is weak I’m just saying the impossible is sometimes possible. Btw I don’t know how the author of the man in the high castle justified Germany winning I’m just stating possibilities.
Yeah, people always overlook the fact that Britain in 1940 had a population of 40 million people while India had HUNDREDS of MILLIONS. So their argument of Germany not being able to govern European Russia simply because of “population” falls flat immediately.
Wasn't Winston Churchill also assassinated in 1931 in this alternate universe? That would make sense. Without Churchill, Britain wouldn't have the same kind of bravery and stubbornness it did in our timeline. Kinda like how FDR was killed, making America significantly weaker.
Churchill was killed maybe somewhere during the late years of the war, if Churchill was assassinated in the 1931 then Britain under PM Halifax would’ve negotiated a peace deal with the Germans and WW2 would’ve ended alot sooner. Hitler would be able to just fully focus on the east.

No. No
There is no way they could have rebuilt multiple fleets in the time it would take Japan to sail across the Pacific should such losses be suffered.

However, in that same report he recommended Spain's entry into the war as soon as the Germans reached Suez, since then Spanish neutrality would be viewed with suspicion, both by the Axis and by the Allies, and both sides had already shown they had no scruples in violating the neutrality of third countries (We all know how the Axis acted throughout WW2, but the Allies aren't innocent either: the German invasion of Norway was brought forward in response to the leaks of Allied plans to invade Norway to prevent the obtaining of Swedish iron ore, and in 1941 the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran happened)
Therefore, the entry of Spain would not have had to wait so many months (from the German arrival at Suez in October 1942 until the Spanish entry into the war, according to the video, in May 1943), which would have caused a British reaction, at least with a landing attempt on the Canaries, the Azores, Cape Verde, Madeira and the Gulf of Guinea islands (the Spanish Fernando Poo and Annobon, and the Portuguese Sao Tome and Principe) to ensure the maritime route on the African coast of the Atlantic.
No way was Spain going to join the axis, any more than it would have been capable of closing the Mediterranean if it did.
Ireland taking Northern Ireland seems very unlikely to me given the state of its military, I find it more likely that as the British start to get more desperate they would temporarily annex Ireland as they did with Iceland to prevent the axis from taking it. But would still ultimately lose due to being constantly bombarded and blockaded.
Perhaps Germany supported Ireland with its own military? I don’t know, this scenario isn’t entirely realistic.

@Jack Pluth You're largely right.
I actually think that the axis wouldn't even have to put up a fight to.conquer Brazil, it would've joined them by free will, the regime was authoritarian, and the leader at the time was sympathetic to fascism. Without the US incentive for Brazil to join the allies, that would be the most likely scenario
If hitler watched a tutorial
Uyghrs:you have freed us
Japan:oh i wouldn't say free more likely under new management
Seeing an axis covered Eurasian map while hearing the blast of wind makes me think of a world that aleeady knows that freedom is dead forever.
Japan destroys some part of the Navy.
IRL USA: you pick the wrong house fool
Well im late on this but if rommel managed to capture suez canal and get turkey on their side and captured stalingrad to defeat the soviets it would have been possible to supply japan with resources needed to defeat US
Germany in Berlin: Italy help me
Italy: No, If u did agree with Russia to be on teams u would have not get occupied

My conclusion : Live in Colombia
Tbh nowhere is safe. Think about it, every single nation in the planet has a border with an axis country
Just the thought of an axis victory is terrifying
it may be terrifying for the western powers but it would have been a victory for all asian colonies which were dictated by the french , british , and other western powers rulling the asian colonies

Steiner didn't attack and this didn't happen.
This enraged his father who punished him severely.
Hawaii is too small to hold a large invading force that will be needed to invade the west coast and same can be said for Bermuda when trying to invade the east coast.
"Greater Nazi Reich" i love the irrealism of The Man in The High Castle...
It should be Greater Germanic Reich, as this actually makes sense in the US where the largest ethnic group is German and Nazi Germany owns the most German parts of it.
Yep
@@firemangan2731 Americans still call themselves Yanks, and every other country calls Americans Yanks. Also Americans in the south are sometimes called rebels because that’s where the Confederacy was in the American Civil War

9/11
Germany was working on 2 or 3 long-range bombers to attack the US during WW2 but never got very far with them (excuse the pun) because they got bogged down in the USSR, and were ultimately defeated by them.
Absolutely loved this video and it was very interesting and informative. Outstanding work.
Edelweiss, edelweiss...
With a lithp
Great Video, but some mistakes;
-Ireland couldn’t have joined the Axis. They wouldn’t have been able to invade the British Isles and Germany had plans to invade them anyways.
-Germany would have invaded the British Isles MUCH sooner.
-Nepal was in the Allies.
-The Boers wouldn’t have been able to revolt. Germany would have just invaded South Africa after the fall of the UK.
-The Carribean is Japanese in the books and movies.
Ireland definitely would have been able to invade Britain lol
Why is Central America Japanese?
@@kingmac6638 how?
LukeJS it just is. Thats what the map says :/
@@dr_Matt-nc3ne which map? In the show it shows Germany as controlling Central America
Japan took Philippians and other US islands but couldn’t take Hawaii or threaten the US mainland
France is divided between a occupied Northern Zone and a southern Freestate
Italy and Germany’s national interests diverted and are now rivals
TNO is not realistic in the slightest.
@@Austerlitz-xj7fm I meant in the status of the world. Not overall setting.
@@theduke9292 TWR is a bit more realistic in terms of the history of the world, the setting and even the game play as in TWR you can avoid the German Civil War while in tno you can't
Nitpicker
Fun fact: Brazil was the most important trade partner of Germany in South American, and would probably join the Axis as soon US Navy fall and Washington D.C is destroyed.
Actually, Brazil was the first South American country to declare war on Germany on August 22, 1942, and they were the only South American country to fight in WW1. Argentina, Chile, and Paraguay were a lot more pro-German than Brazil.
Italy: Wait a second--
We get the Falklands: *Worth It*
Except the area of a larger axis territories in the Americas would easily surround the independent North and South American nations. Based on reality before WW2 many of the Latin American nations were also close to Germany.
Argentina had a president who was in German and he was using as a model German here

thats how you know this show is stupid because Germany didnt give a shit about america but hated switzerland and wanted to annex the german half of switzerland dividing it up with the italians
As long as they had gotten Russia, they had enough troops to invade Russia but not enough to last if something would happen, that first winter just made everything go downhill
what about 1942/1943/1944/ summers? why did germany not winn against the soviet army in those years? or was it just winter holding them back lol
Hitler when he ordered Steiner too attack and turned the tied of the war: YA YA YA YA YA.
Actually, Its Ja. But still funny
AKA the average hoi4 game
Thank you Sergio Russian for being respectful to the losing Germans and for showing us this alternate outcome!
Id say the reason that no other countries besides Germany and Japan are shown on the shows map is mainly just them making the people think they rule more than they actually do
True, theres only client states, puppet states and protectorates, not territories directly controled by Germany and Japan.
That would explain a lot of my problems away, but it feels like a cheap excuse for some reason

So their argument of Germany not being able to govern European Russia simply because of “population” falls flat immediately.
germany if a guy with a random mustache was assassinated in 1938:
Wasn't Winston Churchill also assassinated in 1931 in this alternate universe? That would make sense. Without Churchill, Britain wouldn't have the same kind of bravery and stubbornness it did in our timeline. Kinda like how FDR was killed, making America significantly weaker.
Churchill was killed maybe somewhere during the late years of the war, if Churchill was assassinated in the 1931 then Britain under PM Halifax would’ve negotiated a peace deal with the Germans and WW2 would’ve ended alot sooner. Hitler would be able to just fully focus on the east.
@@firemangan5024 Right, or, Britain coulda also negotiated peace with Germany if Chamberlin was around.
