That was a difficult surgery Dr.Wily!! In your own words "you can't save 'em all!"
That one was to far gone
Thank you for watching
I really like how your training Jacob to be a good mechanic he is doing great
Thank you
Love your way of doing things. Love the ag equipment starting
Thanks so much!
You are absolutely the man Wiley, job
well done, keep up the great work and teach Jacob all you can, he will follow in your foot steps
Gods Blessings be with you and your family
Looking forward to seeing your next adventure
Thank you for the kind words and i will try
Thank you Willy. I would bolt each of those transport cables to a vice grip😅
That combine is toast
Lovely older combine i. Good quality for it's age 👌 waly and Jacob be great to see has a museum 👍
That is a 329 JD engine. It makes about 100 HP. I have the exact same engine in my 6600 JD combine. I even ran my combine today as I put 🙃 a 643 6 row narrow head on it. That head is a 13 ft. grain head. Have the exact same head. 50 ft. Max on new machines. These old JD combines are damn good machines and are pretty easy to work on if you know 😉 your way around them. Paid 5500.00 for mine back in 1993 and has been reliable ever since with regular maintenance and the usual parts that combines require. I know it's small compared to new ones, but the million plus for new ones and the headers is unobtainable for me. If you open the back window on the cab, the seat will then fold back out the opening to gain access to the drive out of the engine. Just make sure that you put a nail or cotter pin in the slide shaft that goes 😉 up to hold the seat up or the whole damn thing will slam down on top of your head when you least expect it. Don't ask me how 😅I know. Ouch. Then you can use a wrench to help free it up if you 😉 need to. If you don't, then you won't! That engine looks like it's toast 😳 unless you wanna stick some green paper in it. Give er hell guys!😊
❤🎉 thanks 👍 for the video 📸📸 guys.....😊😊... JJ...
Well another will it start video needs an engine great take down great video thanks Wylie and Jacob
Thank you. Thanks for watching
That manifold was already broke the bolt held it in place saw no new metal on that break
❤y ahi que procede wally
Awesome video, Wiley. I appreciate you sharing, buddy 👍
I am impressed that Jabob got the manifold bolts out with that few of problems. Do you think the manifold filled with water and froze, causing the manifold to crack, kind of odd, 31:02 not that it matters at this point. There's not much value left in that old girl. Thank you, Wiley and Jacob
You saved some one a headache good video
I agree Wiley, the heads would have to come off. The exhaust outlets are looking really bad, i think with that kind of build up of rust. The engine mughr be locked up.
Oh ya thoes pistons are looking really bad Wiley, the engine has to come out and get reworking done it
Agree with that
Thanks for watching
Still watching your videos on the 25th here in AZ 😊!
Thank you. 26th
Need to throw a second battery in to give it more cranking amps it should start then
Very good job and God bless y'all
The motor did turn. Look at cyclinder wall on number 1.cyclinder.❤
I will. I thought it moved also
Another great vidio Willey sad to see these pieces of farm equipment to far gone when something covering the intake and exhaust would keep the water out. I'm sure someone could have used it. Be safe and Thanks
Thanks 👍and thank you for watching
They make extensions for them now adding 200 bushels
Great video Wily ..👍👍
Wow! That one was makin WATER. Thanks for sharing, Wily!
Glad you pulled the head on that one at least now you know it's going to take a lot of work to make it run again.
It was in bad shape. Maybe someone will see it that could use a part or two
That’s what heat and pb blaster is for so you don’t snap crap off
Same here wily I've got tools strung out from the dash board to the back hatch 1 of these days I'll organize it yeah right 😅
Lol
I am glad i am not the only one
Now they know what their buying good job Wiley and Jacob
At 12:18 am in the morning !
Great job y'all!! Be safe and God Bless y'all!!
Well Hank needs a whoopin 😂😅😊
Lol
I couldn’t disagree with a straight face
Only takes takes a second to cover the exhaust with a can and would of saved that engine from water damage.
You can't save them all Wiley but, you've had a lot of successes recently.
Thanks for showing.
Thanks for watching
Piece of history there for sure and that was a 5.9 liter deere i think .. And your talking about big combine harvesters i have seen the next gen Case will have machines that hold 600 bushel and pushing 900 horse engines
What would the farmer that bought this combine new say if he saw what was out in the fields today
Forestry equipment is the same way
Most farmers would say i dont really miss that machine but i do miss how easy it was to fix and the fact it did not have enough power to hurt itself like the new current machines @@DontbeWily
Put on your fighting gloves wily looks like your in for a fight.. and right about here's where Hank would be calling for Willy's help 😅😮
Lol
It was in bad shape
Nice work.
The hour meter said 2732 hours Wiley it probably be a good parts or rebuild motor but them tires on the combine you can probably sell them to a farmer or even someone running big mud trucks they run them big tractor tires too.
Hope you can start it
Thanks
When u turn the key on u should hear the fuel pump turn back at the tank there should be a glass build back there at the bottom of the fuel tank to if someone hasn't taken it off
I didn’t get that far. Thanks for sharing
I dont see how you and Hank dont get wasp bit more often in all of that old equipment lol!
You and Jacob make a good team I had that same thing with my dad rebuilding scorpion snowmobiles
Thank you and thanks for sharing
22.00 water freeze and busted in that manifold probably
If they had just covered the exhaust that engine could have likely been salvaged
If I remember correctly, the JD head model numbers usually (on that era machine, anyway) would include the width...so, a 213 header would be 13 foot, a 220 would be 20 foot, and a 222 would be a 22 foot, etc. We had a 6620 and a 7720, and I'm pretty sure the 66 had the 220 head, and the 77 had the 222 head. I've got a video from my family's wheat harvest from 1991 up here on RUclips, if you care to take a look sometime!
I will do that. Thanks for sharing
If you ever get some marvel mystery oil on your hands, make sure you wash them before using the toilet. Don’t find out why the hard way!
Lol
I don’t even want to know
That a late model 4400 329 engine fit a 4030 tractor
Excellent video Wiley :) , Jacob :) you tried best get this combine turn over and most certainly need rebuilt too get fix up fully! I say exhaust pour water in head no doubt about that and such shame too!
I really wanted to drive my first one. Maybe next time
I'd bet there's a few gallons of water in that crankcase based on what the pistons looked like.
Mr. Wiley I greatly appreciate what you do , I have been watching you and hank since the being, am old school Road Grader in Florida, but it's just my opinion hank is becoming a wannabe celebrity, and you have kept to the original purpose
Thank you and thanks for watching
lol you go thru the cab to get to engine
Should you enemy the oil pan from the combine John Deere
Once we took the exhaust manifold off. I sorta, kinda knew that this engine was toast. If all that up top would have looked good then we would have drained the oil
You might as well walk away you’re not getting it running unless you pop head off and get all the rust out cylinders and free up all the rusted valves etc…
Stick a fork in that one it’s a done Tom turkey
✌️
Just for curiosity, what is the scrap value of that combine, and is it possible to 'de-combine' it, but retain cab, body panels, chassis, & hopper, -removing tje bulk of the belts and mechanicals of the un-needed portion?
I would say $400
He may not take that
He wanted 800 but that was before we seen the engine was Junk
The cost would be loading and hauling
Not sure of scrap price.
It’s 13 foot😊
Thanks
👌👌👍👍😄😄
Hank saved your life from a rattle snake and to repay hank, buy him a plate of Mexican food and call it even steven..Ha,Ha,Ha...
Lol
Does that mean i am worth a plate of los nachos LOL
Thanks for watching
@@DontbeWily For Hank, that plate of Mexican food is like a bar of gold...
