Such an awesome bike, my favorite rendition of the Tuono yet. I am in love with this bike. I had a 2016 RR by sadly I went down in April and totaled the bike. I hope when I am your age I am still riding Aprilias!

How do you record your voice? Is there a mic inside the helmet?

Sorry so late with response. Yes, I have a Sena communicator. I also use the Sena Bluetooth audio pack with sends the audio to the camera.

Great review. I just bought the same bike and exhaust. I like how the valve opens and it starts to bark but it’s not overly offensive when ridden conservatively. I’m sure my neighbours appreciate that 😂. What suspension setting do you ride with? Cheers.

Thanks. I totally agree. Civilized until you don't want to be civilized anymore. I haven't messed with the suspension; I leave it in semi-active automatic. I've seen reviews of expert track racers, and after much experimentation they can get more out of the bike, but the average Joe is better off letting the bike do the work of tuning the suspension for you.
      Thanks for commenting.

How many mileage it gets from cruising? it's a "good cruiser"?
On my old GSX S750 i was getting about 300km ( 180+ miles) with ~17L tank.
    Thanks!

This is NOT a very economical bike. It is all about performance... ie gobs of torque and instant throttle response at mid-range RPM.
If a guy was actually cruising on this bike he'd probably get around 35 mpg.; around 130 miles per tank before you need to be looking for a gas station. Problem is, you can't cruise on this thing. It begs you to go fast. It keeps saying, "come on... go faster... come on... faster... GO!" Now you're looking for a gas station around 90-100 miles.

@@COMMANDERREVZ I have no issues for long non-sport riding i have a XMAX300 that does the commuting just fine, but commiting on this and having lets say +130miles it's fine i guess.
      Thanks!!

I'm pushing 55. Thought I may have one more sport bike in me, but seriously looking at this comfort wise. Did the RR get a bit uncomfortable?

Honestly, the BMW RR was not horrible. The Tuono is better from the waist up, but about the same from the waist down; meaning the knees are bent about the same. Love to see geezers like me on sport bikes!

Greetings from Rochester, MN! I ride a Ducati 899 panigale and am looking for something that doesn't make my legs and butt so hot. Hows the heat on the Tuono?

Hello neighbor... kinda. That is the biggest buzz-kill with the panigales. There is a bit of heat off of the frame on the sides, but nothing like the "under the butt" heat you get on the Ducati.

Nice bike , great review , I bought a 2019 s1000r sport that I’ve put on 5000 kms so far without any issue & the other day I seen one of these for sale in a shop , great looking bike it’s has got my interest , aprilia are not the biggest sellers & their dealer network lets them down here in Ireland but I heard just yesterday that there is a dealership for aprilia to open here next month so I may have to go for a test ride to see , what is their reliability & warranty like etc ? Wondering would this be a bike that could handle daily commuting , cheers for any info

The S1000R is an awesome bike as well. That bike and the Tuono are similar in capability and genre. The styling is a bit different, but the biggest difference is the engine. Do you like the smooth high rev performance of the straight 4, or the mid-range grunt and torque of the V-4? If you are satisfied with the 1000r as a commuter, the Tuono would also do it for you. Hope April gets it together in Ireland.
