I bought a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander GT new, and it runs great. I just barely changed the spark plugs after this entire time with my vehicle having 85,000 miles on it and it ran as good as when I bought it. I never had any issues with it, and I'm not trying to speak highly of it. I got the GT because of the V6 engine since I do a lot of stuff with it like put heavy wood on the roof with the roof racks, go on long road trips, and actually take it on mild off road places. I do keep up with the oil change, transfer case, rear differential, transmission fluid and I'm about to go flush the radiator fluid. All those things are what people are SUPPOSE to do anyways, but then after owning any vehicle after 3 years, will end up having engine problems after only giving the vehicle a handful of oil changes and then blame the manufacturer for making a 'crappy car'. Mitsubishi Outlander is a real reliable vehicle but I highly recommend getting the V6 as it is more powerful and even the new generation as good as it looks, dropped the V6 to have the same 2.5 liter engine throughout every trim. Yeah so I really never had any major issues and I never had any issues this video mentioned. The only problem I keep getting actually is a display saying 'Routine maintenance is required' or something along those lines, but I did everything so I think it's a setting that needs to be reset.
Buying a Used Mitsubishi Outlander? Check These 1 Area!!! Rust all over the body and under on the frames, parts are easy to change for the most part, but you need a body to put them on !!!
My 2012 RVR (outlander in Canada) is rusting from the inside out. It lives in a garage, no salt on roads, very low mileage. They kept pushing off the repair until they could say it's no longer under warranty. They had a recall to spray the undercarriage for rush protection but say it's unrelated to the paint issue (!!??).
i have been looking on a million Outlander's for a good maintained one 2007-2013 and i am just horrified over the rustproblems theese cars have, the rust protection theese cars get is not good at all, it is like the 70's all over again, as usual when Renault co exist with another brand, they manage to make shit of everything, it is the same with Nissan, but they have other problems then rust.
Really? Oh yeah because a Toyota dealerships are just like a gas station on every corner lol... Also I don't understand why someone would trade in a car that's already used if you bought it used, because this video is for used car owners. Also you think any car after 5-7 years is going to have a huge amount on a trade in value?
@@lucky1206 Lets be honest Subaru & Toyota hold value much better just to name 2 of many. ALSO Finding a Mitsu dealer for repair or parts when you travel can be a huge problem. By the way I do like the looks of the 2022 !
@@bextar6365 you contradict yourself. Your saying it would be hard to find a dealership, but how else would you buy a Mitsubishi, and who would look for a dealership when they travel going on a road trip? Also I barely go to the dealership except for major work such as changing the rear brakes because it has an electronic brake that I couldn't do myself and even a Firestone couldn't do. Just in my area there are 3 Mitsubishi dealerships within less than 40 miles away. Yeah they both hold their value but I feel it's more about brand than the car. Toyota makes the same engine and making the Corolla as basic as possible to keep cost low. You think it has a high cost to own a used one because of how basic the car is, or because it has a Toyota logo on it?
