I'm glad it worked out for you eventually. When we where in Liverpool a couple of years ago, we found a great Asian all you can eat buffet just a few minutes walk from Lime Street train station.
Scouse looked good to me, can imagine a lot of places in liverpool sell it. Maggie May's is meant to be the best place for it. Its just a simple hearty meal. Perfect winter warmer. We normally serve it with pickled beetroot and carrots. Glad the journey wasn't a total bust 😁
It's great that the museum restaurant saved the day. The scouse looked tasty and the cabbage was the ideal accompaniment. Glad things worked out for you. Another entertaining video from Everyday I'm Eating. Thanks.
Honestly its really cool to see you keep your cool even when things never go way you make the best out of the situation and still make a great video to watch
wow im shocked that foodhall got closed down, i went there a few times and the choice was great. I recommened you try renshaw street food market, it does a wide range of oriental asian food.
You were out of luck with the food court, but I think it turned out even better because that hearty lunch at the Museum looked delicious. I do love a good stew on a cold day.
Hello my friend, the GPO should have updated their website !!! I'm pleased you found an alternative though, the Scouse looked lovely & was presented well with bread & pickled red cabbage with the banana& pecan cake to follow perfect. A lovely setting at Liverpool Museum in which to enjoy this lovely meal, all in all it turned out fine!! Great review, lovely to see you as always!! Take care 💜💜XX
Hi from sunny Los Angeles! 🙋♀️ I hope you survived the storm in good shape! Not a total fail. More of a detour with a happy ending. Your meal looked fresh and tasty! I always put chopped pecans in my banana recipes (bread, pancakes, cake). Good to see you in Liverpool, as this is the 44th anniversary of the day we lost John Lennon.
Unexpected success,I would say. Liverpool looks like a really cool city. Also, I would have cut open that roll and loaded it up with the stew and cabbage. Now, that would have been an epic combo bite.
That is exactly where I had a bowl of Scouse a few years ago! Mind you, it was a cardboard cup of it, not a posh bowl - they must have got all fancy like since.
That's a shame about the GPO 😞 I just did a bit of research and turns out it shut down permanently at the end of November this year 😞 so you just missed it too nobody seems to know why it shut. There was even Christmas party posters up. Just shut down out of the blue 😫
@@everydayimeating3407 well I know now to stop recommending it to people 😞. Hopefully something comes of it and it can get up and running. There was a lot of small businesses in there. I dunno what there situation is. I'll have remember keep an eye out on any progress
I would say an unexpected success. The Scouse looked really good and well priced. Not so the cake! Any type of stew or casserole n a cold day is very welcome. The fact that Google didn't register that the GPO had closed, just shows that you can't always trust what Google posts. BTW the Museum building is a bit of an Eyesore IMO.
I wouldn't set off anywhere on a train without ringing the venue first! However you had a tasty meal and nice visit to Liverpool, so a success in the end!
I noticed the HMS Prince of Wales aircraft carrier in dock, in the background when you were showing us the Beatles statues. I would have popped over for a bit of a nosey!
I thought red cabbage was usually the traditional accompaniment to Lancashire Hotpot, one of your other Holy Grails 😂. It certainly was to Betty's Hot pot in the Rovers 😂
I thought it was "ok" but I always find museum food around the world is more expensive and 'average' although your meal did look reasonable...so not an epic fail but "ok"😊
Well this was a big disappointment as I was looking forward to a full 3 course fancy meal ! This turned out to be a working class meal instead & that also was not so cheap @ 18.5q !
Were you born here ? Your vlogs , though interesting , appear as though you're on a learning curve of English culture rather than comparing food based on previous experience. Whatever I still applaud you...well done fella.
It was a fail for my city to let you down in such a way. I appreciate your video's showing the good of Liverpool and due to this I would like to apologise for your inconvenience.
Liverpool is my Home town Forget some posh surroundings sometimes Go to Sans on the Dock road Loads of lovely home made food, google it Honestly google top reviews next time you vist Liverpool Carnt beat Scouse x
Terrible waste of money, food courts in the UK. Trying to copy what they do excellently across Asia, and even in Australasia. People think they’re getting something “authentic” but in the UK it’s usually just factory-produced ultra-processed food, part-cooked on an industrial estate, shrink-wrapped or frozen, and then reheated at the food court. You’re better off getting ready-meals from M&S or Waitrose - about one-third the price, no worries about food hygiene, and better quality.
Hearty food, but overpriced. Cake looked good. Scouse was nothing special. Tea in a coffee cup? Bet there’s a hundred cafes in Liverpool you could get same meal done better and cheaper.
Prob shut down to avoid paying tax/vat, will declare bankruptcy and reopen under a different name to avoid detection, they're all at it in the hospitality business!!!!
Was this an Unexpected Win OR Epic Fail?

How did I not think of that!! 😞
You'll remember for next time. Just load it up. Combo bites might as well be epic.
Merry Christmas ❤ and you always find interesting places that's crazy that it's closed!!!❤
Happy holidays!
That was a winner.👍

Must have been filmed before Storm Darragh hit all of us in the UK.
It was!
The food looks good ❤
Cool vlog , but TBH that scouse looks really bad 5:55 and Iam sure a lot of scousers will agree . And yes Iam from Liverpool so I know

what about the train
A bit of a let down. But you got some grub in the end. lol There’s always McDonald’s to fall back on
It was going to be between McDonald's and Greggs lol
It's permanently closed 👍
I know! 😔

Pretty sad city When you have to resort to going to a museum to eat
Criticizing a vibrant city for a bloggers choice of eatery; interesting.
Be classy, tear up the bread 😂
8/10
Banana pecan cake sounds delicious!
It tastes great too! 😋
Unfortunately.thats the state of uk
Looks like Prison food
what a shame . ah well hey
not sure its worth £10 just a load of stuff chucked in a pan.
That sounds like description of practically any food.

@@keving331 totally agree, especially the amount you get for that price!
Seems a lot of peeps think it's cool to be seen eating in these places but the food tends to be poor quality and expensive.
Definitely
That looked rank again! 10 quid for a bowl of slop! You need to go somewhere cheaper and better value
Maybe because its Sunday?
It got shut down at the end of November 😞 I just found out, something must have happened
@LilMonkeyFella87ah right well that explains it😊

Too expensive
