You are one talented man!!! I hope you pass on your gift to your son, it's priceless. How exciting for your son to be getting a tiny house, I'm sure he is going to enjoy it, love to your beautiful family and best wishes always!!
As always, love the projects your family comes up with; this tiny house for a now college student included! We look forward to more enjoyable episodes! Please post some updates on the flock🐔🦆 as well! Much aloha from the PNW!
Granby is horribly cold in the winter! Snow is the main reason we left Colorado after 17 years and moved back to Arizona- the older I got the worse it felt, especially with fibromyalgia. Still love to visit CO in the summer though. Can't wait to see the progress on your tiny house, I think it's such a great idea for your son to have it as he finishes college. He can move it wherever he finds work or a piece of property!
Barry, always enjoy watching you build an am sure your son will enjoy his quiet time. Great news on your band with recording and traveling. May God continue to keep his healing protection around you and your family. 😊🇺🇲🙏
Excited to see your new video. I didn't know it got that cold that far south! I've had to work in -30 C (-22F) temps (not including the windchill) and at those temps, EVERYTHING takes 3x longer to do if you're lucky. Too bad about the inconsistent GoPro. I saw you putting in wire mesh - is that for pest control? Excited to see Part 2.
Did you consider building a soundproof music room for you and your band mates as the tiny house rather than moving Bruce outside? Looking forward to watching the progress. Stay warm!!
Always funny how weather vs projects works out. If the weather was ideal for the project, well then the regular job takes over. Somehow I've never had a welding project in winter in Az where the weather is perfect( 50s-70s Fahrenheit), only summer where it's blazing hot (105-120 F)...
Do you plan to put plumbing in the house? I love watching these videos, wonky go pro and all. Did you use a plan or is this just out of your head? I spend lots of time drawing house plans using a program called Punch. And I'm with you, Barry. I'm not a fan of cold weather.
Your camera battery is freezing, which causes it to loose power. If you're going to do a lot of cold weather filming you need a thermal jacket for the camera
I'd imagine the issue with the camera is the cold. LiPo batteries dont work well in the cold. So if its left on a tripod, in the shade, in the cold, it may just stop turning on.
Good to see you again. You’re such a productive person. Take care.
Sometimes.. :P

So sorry about your camera. Looking forward to your project.
Yay! Another project to follow. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Me, too!

You're welcome user xy2bk5hk2d
Love your project videos! Congratulations on your band touring venture. Looking for part 2 of this video. 🥰😎
Glad that you are back! Great progress in spite of freezing weather! Well done !
Great to see you again and going to enjoy your project! Thanks for sharing! ……. When are you going to start on the barn project ❤
No idea..
How fun! Not the working in the snow part but the build.
Woohoo can't wait for part 2!!
The shoveling of snow with a dirt shovel had this canadian chuckle. And then cry 😂🥲
My snow shovel wouldn't fit between the joists.. :)
@@EmptyHammock Ha that makes more sense! 😁
Hi Barry!! Missed you!!
:)

yes. exclude the mices

Yes. Not big enough.
How exciting 😊
Definitely a "Job Experience" with your Go Pro. Blessings.
yep
SNOW: The 4-letter 's' word, we call it.
cold weather will discharge batteries on camera.

Coolest thing of this tiny house is your going old school by nailing it together!!!!
Its code for structural applications.
Had the same cold weather issues with multiple go pros during our house biuld. They absolutely would not turn on in 15 to 20 f. degree weather.
hmmm.. Sounds like a pattern.
I'm kinda like that. At almost age 74 nobody knows when I'm gonna work or not work. When I fail to be prosperous, it's a Subway night.
:)
Way cool!!
lol, stupid fluffy frozen water.😂
Move to AZ if you don't like the cold.
yeah but then I'd be hot.. 🤔

We not have a plan for plumbing but it could be added. I don't ever use computer aided design. It's all in my head.
I think you need to visit Florida for a week or 2
Yeah, and come visit me and you. 🙂
That would be nice.
Your camera does not like the cold!🤣
nope
Forget the tiny house, howabout that glorious beard??
Im building that too. But, unfortunately, this spring I'll have to demolish it.. :(
GoPros apparently don't work well in the cold.

It's not just the cold. GoPro has issues.. But yes, that's part of it.
Barry, how on earth did you break 11 bones? ❤
Adrenaline addict.
I'd imagine the issue with the camera is the cold. LiPo batteries dont work well in the cold.

That may be part of it.. It's old too. I know I don't work as well in the cold.
❤👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼🙂
Funny I never got any notifications for this
🤔
What's that white plastic strip in the last minute of the video? Anyone seen that before?
Its what seals the top piece to the bottom piece. ..keeps water out of the joint.
What was that at the end that you had to customize the wood and cut it to install? Drip line? I'm just a girl and don't know. 😭
It seals the two pieces of T1-11 together, top and bottom.
Does the son want to live in the tiny house? What about the parent's house? Houses do better with ppl in them.
He likes the idea.

My guys would have loved this. They're basically Hermits as it is! 🤔 Maybe they watched too much sesame street.... "Hermit" the frog!
