Smooth front row, best and newest attraction POV. The low mount in the direct center shows the awesome and now classic shaping of this Bolliger and Mabillard track as you enter elements on this SeaWorld attraction.
The VR Virtual Reality video has been removed from "Kraken Unleashed" and the ride has returned to its original name.

Kraken was built by Bolliger and Mabillard, a Swiss coaster manufacturer, it goes upside down 7 times and reaches 65mph top speed. The coaster had its first color change since opening this year, 2022.

Hands down one of the smoothest yet most satisfying roller coasters I've ever ridden on. The paintjob looks very nice & just an overall beautiful coaster!

I used to have season passes as kid would ride this all day back like 2000-2002.
Really intense ride. Found it slightly rough as well tbh. Odd it's still operating when the Hulk was re tracked 2 years ago and this is only a year older 😬
The hulk experienced way more use due to crowds
Kumba is 6 years older than both of them and is still a great intense ride.
Hulk is one of the most cycled Roller Coaster in the world as it has the Universal crowds, all year round use and as its a launch coaster, which means it goes through more people and therefore has more wear and tear.
New colors are looking good!! Can’t believe it’s the same ride.

Finally...the long awaited paint job
My eyes are on my feet so this really helped capture the true experience of the coaster. Also the ride ops let me sit between the seats so the central mounting position really was accurate!

What's all this talk, about this being a rough coaster? I've heard people complain about headbanging, and roughness. Can anyone clear this, up? Nice color scheme, though.
It does have spots where there is a good shimmy. Especially that brutal Cobra roll.
The last corkscrew beats your head up, otherwise it's not too rough
If you think this is rough you should ride colossus in the uk

@@crazy4wavescoasters741 ahem. Montu is one of the smoothest B&Ms I’ve ridden and it has a very whippy corkscrew and zero G roll so I don’t want to hear it. THEY ARE FUN NOT HELL! Justice for old school B&Ms
Kraken was rougher than Kumba. Kumba is a 10/10 from me while Kraken is a mere 7/10.
We rode this so many times. It was so fun.

monster of a ride. shame the drop angle wasn't slightly steeper, there are much better floorless first drops but the layout is amazing.
Well its too late for any changes the ride is 20 years old and didnt have the same technolagy plus its shaky as heck
@@dilan2051 too late for any changes? It'd be nice to see them reprofile the drop and retrack some parts of it, but yeah I've heard it's gotten rough recently.

@@dilan2051 eh, something needs to be done with it. Last time I was on it was in like, 2014 and it was starting to get a rattle. Can't imagine how it is now, I'm wondering if it's going to get a Hulk-type treatment or be retired in the coming years. Either way, if it is retracked, I can't see many complaints with increasing the drop angle even a few degrees.
I see that the queue videos are still showing video of Kraken BEFORE its repaint.
Does this mean it’s open again after being painted or whatever?
If we’re talking the supports for the track, the old one is better, but if we’re talking the track itself the new one

For everyone complaining about headbanging on this and other multiloopers- stick your head forward in front of the restraint. It does wonders and works almost flawlessly, eliminating all headbanging you would have otherwise.
I get this, but I hate that some rides have to be ridden a certain way to make them enjoyable. I much prefer a ride where you can get on and do anything and it’s fun every time.
@@jetwhite After a while your body kind of forgets to move your head slightly forward and does it sub-consciously I do it on most rides now without even realizing.

Can that pinch brake right after the chain lift fully stop the train? I've always wondered why some B&M coasters had a pinch brake right after the chain lift.
No it can't stop the train as there are no wheels on the break to stop and push the train. It is used to trim the speed of the carts so the people at the back of the train don't get pulled over the crest of the chain lift and cause some pain.
@@ltobijrl8102 Ahh okay. That makes sense. I guesds if it wasn't there it would be a bit painful in the back. Have you ridden a B&M without a pinch brake after the lift?
