Lead-acid batteries are an absolute game-changer for anyone looking to build a reliable, cost-effective power system. They're incredibly cheap compared to those all-in-one units from Bluetti, Anker, or EcoFlow, which often give you less capacity and power for way more money. With a setup like this, batteries, inverter, charger, and cables, you can have a solid grid-down or off-grid solution ready for emergencies without breaking the bank. And the best part? If your batteries ever run low, you can just hook them up to a generator or even your vehicle to recharge and keep everything running smoothly. It's practical, affordable, and just makes sense.

You are absolutely right! And the most interesting thing is that in Ukraine, prices for lithium or AGM batteries have increased 2-3 times due to high demand and hucksters who want to make money, and only lead-acid batteries have the same price and are always available.

Good videoo ! Nice Basic Inverter setup ! 😎
    1) For Mobility - You can put Set up on a Plastic cart with wheels.
Put batterys on Bottom of a cart and inverter on top level of 4 wheel cart.
Plastic 4 wheel carts -like used for janitor work is very cheap.
    They work great.
    2) only problem i see if you wire into house is Wire from inverter to house must be Heavy duty size cord. or might get hot and Melt / catch on fire if using a lot of things at once.
    3) I don't know price of electricity in ukraine 🇺🇦 but You can buy a couple 100 watt solar panels and charge battery's instead of using Electricity from Electric company.

      Hey there!
      1) We don't have roads to use a plastic trolley, so I use my hands for this....but they are really heavy, almost 60 kg both
      2) Yes, I have a thicker cable for this, the one in the video is from some old device, not reliable at all.
      3) it's 0.1$ per kW, but I'm considering trying at least some small panel, just to avoid self-discharge. it's interesting to try solar panels.
      Thanks for your tips!😎

They call male-to-male power cords suicide cords in US. Just be extra super careful to disconnect from grid each time, the way you connect it to your house is super dangerous. Better to use a transfer switch, but of course, "you gotta do what you gotta do to survive". Hoping all the best for Ukraine and you.

Great! I live in a van with two similar setups. I am thinking of buying a $200 lithium power center. As much as I want it there are warnings against having it near flame. Inside the van it will be near cooking and gas heating. I keep two lead acid batteries outdoors though that is not an option for the power center. Very happy you have electric power. Merry Christmas!

    I'm really electrically challenged. Lol.

you charge them with a charger connected to a 220 or 110 V outlet :)
how do you get energy for the whole house?
simply connect it with the plug cable from the inverter to any outlet in your home, your power grid when there is no power in it, and when you have turned off the switch from your grid..

it works with 2000 W, but only for 5 seconds, then it turns off...
yes, there are inverters for 4-5-6 kW, but these are peaks to start something, not for constant work..

I have a similar setup but haven't tested it yet. The only thing that concerns me is that both leads on the inverter show as hot and from the house electric panel I can only disconnect the 1 hot wire. Is it possible to feed back electricity through the neutral wire in that case - it's not disconnected from the grid?

Regular batteries are not for use in such a setup. They do not last long. If you discharge them to a low level they will die very fast. But for a setup to power led lights, radio and phones it works well. There is no way around a lithium battery. A 12 volt 300 amp lfp battery are the smallest good setup. Built from 4 single cells and a bms. And then a cheap hybrid inverter. I would choose a 24 volt system for a cheap setup. But all that will cost a lot more than your system. But you will get much more energy from the battery. And it will last 10 to 15 years if you use every drop of power from the battery everyday and refill it when there is cheap electricity. You can add a few solar panels and have free power in the summer.
A 330 amp lfp battery cost 350 dollars sent to my country. A bms cost 70 to 80 dollars. a hybrid inverter cost 150 dollars.
But 2 batteries will make a perfect small 24 volt setup. Then you can make coffee, run a tv, a fridge and a freezer.
It is much more money than your setup. But it works for many years. And you can draw much more power from the system.
