  • Introducing the SoundSkins Pro Tesla Model Y 2021+ pre-cut sound deadening kit, the easiest solution to lowering vibration and sound in your Tesla!
    We designed this vibration damping kit specifically for Tesla Model Y 2021+ vehicles. It covers the most resonant, vibration-prone panels inside the vehicle, such as the cabin floors, trunk floor and tub, wheel wells, and fender wells (right where the subwoofer is placed!).
    The SoundSkins Pro material that the kit is composed of will damp the vibration caused by driving, while decoupling rattles caused between hard surfaces in the vehicle. This video will show you the step by step disassembly process in order to install this kit yourself!
    For a smoother, more comfortable time on the road without the stress of cutting and measuring the material yourself, get the SoundSkins Tesla Model Y 2021+ kit today!
    Out for pre-order now!

      Will this fit to Model Y 2024

    My 2023 Y had way more sound deadening than the one you showed. Every void was filled with soft foam or felt in addition to those tape strips. Also, not sure why you need to do under the floor matts because my battery pack is 1 solid structure. I'm pretty sure the Texas built ones are very different.
    Imo the best place to add sound deadening is the doors (especially the back doors). They have a lot but more is better. And also get a kit for door and glass seals, that helps a lot. Lastly suspension. There are options and they help road noise a lot.

    Tesla should just buy this product, and make it a factory install. If not for all cars produced, then make it an option. People can select an add-on. I would.

      Hey Anthony! We didn't get to test this vehicle specifically, but we tested our previous Model 3 kit and we saw about a 6 decibel drop, which equates to about 35% reduction of sound to human ears

    This looks very promising, why did you leave out the doors from the sound proofing plan, would it not make sense to include them as well?
    How many man hours would it take to install if a quote was to be made for a professional to do this job?

    • @SoundSkins
      @SoundSkins  Год назад +4

      We left the doors out because they are complicated even for professional installers to take apart unless you have lots of experience with working on them. We would recommend installing our Wavy Foam material on the inside of the plastic door panels to help with sound insulation, but you should proceed at your own discretion.
      It would really depend on the shop you contact, but when we developed this kit at SounDelux, it only took about 3 hours for the disassembly, installation, and reassembly. The seats do not have to be removed from the vehicle, so that makes it much easier than some of our other kits.

      Our product shouldn't cause any issues that would void warranty. Just ensure it is installed properly (clean the surface well and let it dry before installing).

    Seems ridiculous to buy an expensive car then to take it apart to do this sound reduction step. You know thinks don’t always go back together somewhere and there are extra parts or screws left over do now you have rattling.

      We get it, it's a lot of work to install. We also have installers across the nation who are able to install the kit for you as well. We've seen that installing our material can drop outside sound by up to 50% to human ears. It's more than just being able to hear your music better, it's also about being able to have a conversation without shouting, reducing the fatigue you get from the road noise and vibration while driving, among other benefits.
