Congratulations! Yes, the cross stitch community is awesome. I was watching crazybandladystitches's Flosstube while I worked out at a gym just to pass time. At one time we both had kids in a high school marching band. I watched her Flosstube because I knew her and what really got me started cross stitching was the community. She would share the stitchy kindness she would receive and how good everyone was. It made me want to be part of that. 2 years later I have over 20 WIPS, attend stitch meet ups and love it. The community is amazing and just knowing those people sent you those things for your son is very heartwarming.
Seriously. Everyone is just so kind and it’s so easy to find people that relate to the point in life you are in, in that exact moment and I just love it. It’s so fun to watch everyone and I feel so lucky to be part of this community. It seriously makes me emotional 😭 🩷

I started a Heaven and Earth Design Chart long long time ago called Daisy. It was a little girl up in the Sky throwing Daisies down to the Earth. I was stitching this for a very good close friend of mine whose granddaughter’s name is Daisy. My best friend passed away and his family don’t want nothing to do with me anymore which is a shame. He has 4 beautiful grandchildren and I wanted to stitch something for each of his grandchildren. I manage to stitch two pictures and get them framed and gave them to him to give to his grandchildren before he passed away. I really miss him. He was a Police Officer in my town for years and he would stop and check on me every night that he was on duty. He had a Massive Stroke and died. I did end up throwing Daisy WIP away - mainly because the white was not the same dye lot as when I started it so between that and him passing away I gave up on it. I do want to re-start on Daisy Offerings again but not right now.

I definitely want to squeeze in lives when I can. They are so fun. I’m so sorry to hear of your friend. It’s really a shame that they didn’t want your beautiful work though. It’s so much effort that goes into stitching and I feel like that’s such a wonderful gift. Your friend sounds like he was an amazing person. I’m sorry for your loss.

OMG!! I got that box last year. Unfortunately I had massive bad life events going on at the time so I never touched it! YES!! Count me in for a Start a Long!! I’m not going to Stitch Con next year. I can say I went and did it. You and I are local, we can meet up here, lol!! I’m going to Maine in April, Orlando in July (what the HELL was I thinking!!), and Alabama in September, so no, no Ohio next year.
Megan, never, ever, EVER apologize or explain yourself about how you dress your baby!! This is not your first child, you know exactly what you are doing, you made the snowsuit and you know if it were “safe” or not. Don’t cut those poms off until he’s bigger and can swallow something bigger!! They are too cute!!! And do NOT take Binx’ toy away from him!! He’s too cute and I love hearing him play. My cat passed 4 years ago and I miss that sound terribly!!
Yes! I definitely need to make some time to have a little get together with everyone who is local. It’s so hard to find time. You know how that goes!
Thank you so much! I know people worry about wools and people worry about things being too warm but you know how cold it is here! It’s freezing and we get snow in February. He is due in March so it’s still going to be chilly. Then by December he will need something like this so I’m not worried about it being too warm.

Cat toy is not that loud. Love that Halloween chart you want to do as a SAL. I told myself after how much I spent at LNS’s while on vacay that I wouldn’t be buying anymore things for awhile…….😂. I may need to rethink that. You got some cute baby haul!

Do you know how long it took you to remove all of those stitches from your Greenhouse of Oddities? 😅 I am still enjoying mine but it is currently in timeout because I made a pretty big mistake in my counting. I’m seriously considering a restart because I’ve put hours into removing stitches and have only removed half. 😂 Anyways…Congrats on the baby boy and thank you for sharing! 🎉😊
Thank you so much! Honestly it didn’t take me too long. I wasn’t very far so maybe 40 minutes because I used a high count fabric lol. I’m happy to have it back in stash though honestly.
