Love the idea of an introductory video. You get a lot of stitching done. How much time (average) do you stitch in a given day? Do you set goals at the beginning of the year for stitching? what do those goals look like (projects, 'x' number of starts/finishes, WIPgo board, etc). Do you like to have music, television, or such as white background noise? Does your house have enough light or do you supplement with a special floor/table lamp? Would you consider doing a fabric stash video? How do you balance your stitching time with your knitting time (or other hobbies?). What is your day job? What kinds of books (favorite genre, favorite titles/authors) do you like to read? What kinds (genre) of tv/movies do you enjoy watching?
Enjoy watching your channel, your energy and positivity make watching so easy.
Thank you! I took a screen shot of all these questions to start a list 🩷🩷🩷
Love your flosstube! What an exciting time of life for you - watching your daughter go out into the world and expecting a new baby! Enjoy it all.
It’s been such a blast. We are so excited to be a family of four. Amira is excited to have a little brother 🩵🩵
I know I say it every time I watch your videos, but as usual…I love your work and choices in projects. Very nice. Take care.
Happy stitching friend! 🤍🤍
Beautiful projects, Megan. Enjoyed your company today. Keep glowing!
Thank you Sarah! Hope you’re having a wonderful week
Hi Megan
Love all of your WIPS and your Knitting - everything is so pretty.
You got some cute baby gifts - awww.
You and your family are in my Prayers.
Take Care & Happy Stitching
❤️🤗🙏🍂🍁☀️🪡🧵🪡❤️
Thank you so much, Linda! I am feeling so blessed. Thank you for your prayers 🩷🩷🩷🥹 hope you have a fabulous week.
Love your bloopers and Binks playing in the background. Your looking awesome
Thank you 🥹🩷🩷🩷. Binx was having the time of his life LOL.
I'm so behind on videos but enjoyed catching up with you and seeing your many WIPs and progress. Congrats on the little one to come and what sweet photos of your baby heading off to school. It all goes by so quickly.♥
Thank you so much!!! Hope you ladies are doing well. 💞💞
Loved your video Megan! I would know the sound of that little ball cat toy anywhere…my orange kitty is obsessed with his and will literally play with it for hours! I lol’d when you said ‘hoarding it like a dragon” 😃
He loved that thing! Lol we bought an extra one because he loses them under the couches which I only clean out every other weekend 😂🩷. Thank you for the support!
Love your video! You look so different without glasses! Love it! Also, I couldn’t tell that you did two over two on those sticks…I say leave it! 😉 Pregnancy brain is a real thing!! ❤️
I don’t go without them very often lol. I didn’t feel like battling glare on my glasses that day though 😂🩷. Thank you!
Hi Megan! How have you been feeling? Megan your stitching is so beautiful. The linen you are using for Practical Magic I have stitched on before and I remember placing a dish towel over my project and iron it. It was fine. Wrinkles came right out.😊Halloween projects are perfect and the linen is spot on especially grandpa’s sleeve. Megan you are just adorable, you share so much with us. Take care of yourself. Hope to see you again soon! Thank you so much Megan!!🎃
You’re the best, Debra. Thank you for being so kind to me. I am feeling good. Very tired and forgetful lol! I guess that to be expected. And my heartburn is out of control, hoping that goes away in the coming weeks. Besides that I am well 🩷🩷. Thank you for the tip about the dishcloth. I am going to try that asap.
Thank you for the shout out, I love chatting with you ❤ My pumpkin king fabric is supposed to arrive Tuesday finally lol. Oh wow Cheyenne didn’t start getting homework till this year in 4th grade.
I literally cannot believe the amount of homework these kids have. No matter what they have two work books so she at least has two pages every night. It’s such a struggle when I’m trying to cook dinner and do the dishes and all that other wife/mom stuff too. She is so over it by the time schools out LOL.
@@TheSeattleStitcher that’s a lot!! Cheyenne just has to read for a minimum of 20 minutes and then answer some questions and do a math work sheet. That’s it.
Love all your stitching! I would love to see video of Binx playing with his jingle ball. It sounded like he was having a lot of fun! 😂🐈⬛ - Sarah
LOL I’ll have to catch him one of these days. He likes to swat it around then carry it in his mouth to a corner of the dining room to start all over. 🤣🤣
School drop off and pickup 😵💫 the struggle is real with people not following the simple guidelines. To say I did a happy dance when my son (5th grade now) asked if he could walk is an understatement 😂
LOL I am already counting down the days till Amira wants to ride the bus. Or better yet, she can drive herself! 😂😂
Beautiful stitching as always. Looking forward to seeing your start on the Autumn Lane Halloween pattern-really like that one. And parent drop-off and pick-up sounds crazy where you are. We don’t have that system in Canada (at least where I am) - I can’t imagine waiting in a line of cars for an hour. Poor you. Hope it gets better as others get used to the rules ❤️
Thank you! I am really hoping it gets to be a little easier and that I don’t have to get there so early but I don’t mind too much since that means I get some stitching time I suppose lol. I think the real issue is people who hold up the line or don’t follow the rules lol. 😵💫😅🩷
I love you. Such a beautiful stitcher!! Your knitting is unbelievable, you make it look so easy. Great Mom too. 💞
You’re the best. Love you too 😭🥹🩷🩷🩷
Girl, I do NOT miss drop off lines lol. Just saying. Love all your stitches as always. I have GOT to work more on my Halloween at HRH. Thanks for another great episode 😊
Lol I can positively say it’s not my favorite school activity 💀😂🩷. Thank you for the support!!
Oh my GOODNESS!!!! I’m about in tears over here because you are so sweet and lovely!!! I can’t WAIT to see pictures of that sweet little man all swaddled in his soft blanket! 👶💙. I am just so blessed and proud to call you my friend! I so enjoyed seeing all your new starts and WIPs, and all the other precious gifts you received, and Amira’s first day pictures 🖍️✂️. (I still can’t believe she’s in school!!) And the last thing I want to say is how especially beautiful you look today 🥰. You are amazing! Much love,
Meline
🩷
Thank you so much, Meline. You’re just the best. I seriously love the swaddle so much thank you! It’s so soft and I can’t wait to see our son all wrapped up in it. I’m so glad I found this community and found you. You’re one of the absolute nicest, sweetest humans I’ve ever met! I just feel so blessed to call you friend. I love you so much lady! Thank you for being here for me and supporting me from the start. 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
@@TheSeattleStitcherYou are the best!!! 🥰😇🩷
Loved your video! Kindergarten is a big adjustment. My youngest is now in K as well. This past Friday, he announced that he “wanted his two days off” while driving to school!! He likes school, but the child lives for the weekend already. Haha. The bloopers have me dying along with your gallon jug of water!! 😂
Lol it’s so funny the stuff they say at this age. I absolutely love it. Amira is always excited to go but when she gets home she is over it. Doesn’t want to do all those work books 😂. We drink a lot of water 🤣🤣
Great video again with lovely projects, fabric and floss. I started Halloween @HRH in August on Fox and Rabbit Beetroot. I have no idea what it will turn out like but i loved the idea. Your fabric for that one is fabulous.
Really glad Amira is enjoying school. My youngest has just started school, we call it Reception class in the UK.
I can't believe she has homework though!? That must be really tough especially when the days can feel really long for a kid too.
Take it easy as pregnancy is tough and baby brain truly is a thing! 😆 Kerrie
Thank you! I seriously was surprised with all the homework as well. I feel like it’s pretty common knowledge these days with all the studies that kids don’t benefit from it but I guess the schools around here don’t care LOL. It’s been a struggle but Amira is doing good and loving school so I can’t complain.
My daughter also started kindergarten, luckily we are in a smaller city so pickup isn't too crazy! I'm going to join in on the tonight we ride SAL since I started last week 😊
Yayyy!!! I love the pattern so much. It’s so cute.
I’m glad parent pick up is going well for you. I think honestly Amira’s school just really did a poor lay out of the property. There isn’t enough room for cars so it’s just a mess. Ah well the joys of motherhood 😆🩷
@@TheSeattleStitcher yeah and I can't believe she has homework 🤦🏻♀️ my daughter won't get much thankfully but I guess it's at least preparing her for the next 12 plus years lol
I was so surprised she has homework every day. Minimum of one letter and one math sheet a night. And she gets home so late she is just over it lol. I feel bad but I make her do it every night 😩😵💫. There are so many studies these days that show homework doesn’t help kids but oh well. I’m glad she doesn’t throw a fit about it. She is usually just tired.
Love your videos!!! I just restarted Halloween at Hawk Run Hollow as well! And next weekend I’ll be dyeing some fabric to start Practice Magic 😁 my WIP count keeps going up since I’ve started watching FlossTube lol
Lol totally relatable. I found so many good projects through RUclips and flosstube. 😆🖤 I love it but my bank account doesn’t!
I am about to tackle Halloween at Hawk Run. I am debating on doing each individual square as small pillows instead of one large piece.
That would be so cool!
Love your videos. I am Casey lol and so glade you got the onesies …. Keeping you and your family in thoughts and prayers for healthy pregnancy and baby. Thank you for all you do
Thank you so much!! 🥹🩷🩷🩷
I’ve been on the hunt for a dough bowl/apothecary jar/etc to display cross stitch myself. I don’t really do any smalls but I have been feeling like some holiday finishes would be great. But with two cats and two babies I want something to keep things out of reach!
Hope your pregnancy is going well!
Right! That’s what made me think about the glass jars with the fancy lids. I know no one will get into them, not even the cat 😂.
We are doing great! Tired for sure but great. Amira got sick at school of course and brought that home to me but we are just going to take an extra day off school today and get lots of rest. Hoping her and I hobby feel better soon.
Just started cross stitching again after so many years of not and I’m so glad I found this channel! Love all the pieces you’re doing! Can’t wait to see the progress updates!
Thank you for spending some of your time with me! 🥹🩷🩷
I’m so stinking excited that you are having a baby!!! It gives me my baby fix! You are just a beautiful person. So glad kindergarten is going well….don’t blink…she will be graduating HS before you know it. My baby is a senior at the university of Alabama and I miss my kids! Love to your family. ❤
😭🩵🩷 thank you so so much. It seriously goes by too fast. You hate it but love it at the same time. All the changes. I do miss her being a little baby. She’s so grown already going to school and being independent. Making friends. 🥹🩷 happy stitching friend hope you have a great weekend.
You have to watch Knitting Traditions! I may have mentioned her already! She is Norwegian and such a fabulous knitter; also she is expecting her first child, a little girl! I think you will really enjoy her podcast. I love all you are stitching on and your fabric selection is so beautiful! I have so many projects I want to start but am trying to hold off until I finish a few of my wips! Looking forward to all your Fall progress and can’t wait til Fall is finally here in all its splendor! Happy Stitching. Knitting and reading!
I love her podcast! I have been watching since the very beginning when she first started filming. I always love the projects she picks out. So so beautiful! I love colorwork too so she is totally my style. Thank you for watching and spending some of your Saturday with me 🩷🩷🩷
In re the blocks of Halloween at HRH that you aren’t that into - I believe that in Autumn at HRH there are two Halloween themed blocks that are not nautical at all, and I remember a flosstuber mentioning that they would be using those two blocks from Autumn and replacing two of the blocks in Halloween with those, so that might be a thought for you! Also love how it looks on that fabric, it’s beautiful.
Omg that’s a great idea. Honestly I love both the patterns so much I’ve thought about stitching both 🤣
Hi Megan. Loved all the stitching and the knitted baby jacket is turning out so cute! I'm also stitching Midnight Watch and Away We Ride as well as Halloween Quaker. Can never have too much Halloween:) Parent drop off and pick up is nuts. I was a speech-language pathologist and worked the majority of my career in elementary schools and always had either drop off or pick up duty. It's like the hunger games at the beginning of the school year🤣🤣🤣 Hang on, it does get somewhat better as the year goes on. Have a great couple of weeks. Inez
Thank you so much! Seriously, it’s wild out there man. WILD. 🤣🤣🩷
Hey friend! Glad I got to stitch and catch up with you tonight. I love every single thing you are working on. ❤have a good rest of the weekend!
Thank you!! 🖤🖤🖤 hope you’re having a wonderful cozy weekend.
@@TheSeattleStitcher thank you! I sure am!!
LOVE your videos! So fun to watch! And also, why are firetrucks so dramatic??? 😂
Seriously, they need to work on that. 🤣🤣🤣 thank you so much for watching.
In Yelm??? SO close to me!!! Enjoying your channel!
No way! My parents live in the area. It’s a drive for me but I am in the area all the time because I visit often. 😁
You keep tempting me with Hawk Run Hallow. Is there any over one in the piece? Thank you for the video. It made my Saturday night perfect. 🎃 🧙♀️ 🐈⬛
No over one! You could totally do it on Aida it would be amazing!
Parent pick up line stitching gets quite a bit done. Lol. Love my artdot glasses. Parent pick up is crazy. Such amazing projects. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed week and happy stitching. Lucinda
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy your weekend. 🩷🩷🩷
I'm glad everything is going well with you and enjoyed your stitching, but curious what's the name of the Halloween pattern you showed😊
Which Halloween pattern? I showed a few. There was Halloween at hawkrun hallow, away we ride by blackbird and tonight we ride by autumn lane.🧡🧡🖤🖤
If I can get some great fabric in as timely manner I may do Tonight We Ride with you. I’m slow though, especially since I’m trying to do stuff for Christmas.
Yay! I’m also slow lol. I don’t put pressure on deadlines or anything and definitely wouldn’t have a finish date.
Beautiful stitching Megan🧡🖤🧡love the progress on all your projects. All you baby’s clothes are adorable you look amazing as always.
Thank you so much! 🩷🩷🩷
For your intro how did you get started on cross stitching and where did you get all your knowledge? Love your floss tubes! You know so much about fabrics, needles, etc.
Thank you for the questions! 🩷🩷🩷
I am glad Emira loves kindergarten. When I went to kindergarten it was our first time away from mom, so it was more getting along with others. We even took naps. Now most kids have gone to preschool so I think that is why they have so much homework, but it’s way to much. Love you and hope your pregnancy goes well.
She is absolutely loving it. We are feeling lucky to have such a great kid. That’s for sure. It’s so crazy to me how kindergartners don’t take naps anymore. They did when I was a kid too! It’s such a long day for her. She still had a blast though.
I love your videos! My question is, what made you start cross stitching? And totally unrelated, I absolutely love how your books are organized by color 😍
Thank you! I know it’s not the usual but it works for me and I love how it looks lol.
Thank goodness I never had to do parent pick up. We always did the school bus. Beautiful stitching as always!!!
Amira’s school doesn’t have an AM bias for her 😅😅 that’s okay though because I have totally gotten a huge amount of stitching time in the pickup/drop off line.
Are we talking baby names yet?? If so, and you’re comfy with it - does Amira have a special meaning in Daniel’s culture or was it just something you loved? Oh yeah your stitching was great but I am absolutely here for the baby discussion! Hahaha - Nic x
We already have a name picked out but we are not announcing it till he is born. Amira is a name we both just liked, no cultural reference for either of us. It’s actually an Arabic biblical name. 🩷🤍
And yeah, school drop off/pick up is insane!
Megan was wondering what linen you changed Murky for. I could not catch all the name and would love to know where you got it. Love your videos.. thanks in advance
It’s Endora by Needle and Flax 🙂
Your hair looks really nice:)
Thank you! 🥰🥰
For that Fiberlicious fabric - how do you find this color if they dont have it currently?! I love LOVE this color combo too!!
I’ve actually never bought fiberlicious fabric for myself. Only used it for our round robin and been gifted the Aida. I’m sorry! I’m not sure how to get it or who sells it.
@@TheSeattleStitcherthank you for letting me know! I can ask Frizzie Lizzie!! Lol
I stitch in the pick up line too😅
Lol I’m using all those minutes! 🤣🤣🩷
Newer follower here :D Is there a knitting/yarn store in Seattle you recommend? I.e what's the Threadneedle Street of Kitting lol
I always loved fiber ETC it’s in Tacoma in a older industrial building. She has so much stuff! Definitely worth checking her out. A little knitty is another store but I never felt like they had the same options as fiber etc. They do have more “trendy” new/local dyers though so it depends on what you’re looking for.
@@TheSeattleStitcher Amazing! Thank you so much :D
My youngest just started kindergarten too.. where does the time go?? 😢
Seriously 😭😭😭. Love it but hate it.
Also I’m going to be a new mom at well! 11 weeks today!
OMG congratulations!!! 🎊 🎈
could you spray Scotchgard on the fabric?
Good idea! I’ve never done it myself.
I want to see a wedding photo!!
I don’t have any 🙂 it was a private wedding just Daniel and I in a local rose garden with two witnesses.
@@TheSeattleStitcher what an amazing personal memory for you four to have.
🪡👍🏽
There is nothing "manageable" about those HRH pieces.
Seriously.
I have restarted mine three times. Seriously I think the projects hates me. LOL
Больно было прокалывать нос?
Not at all. 🙂
