The eagle has two heads, a typical symbol we do have here in Europe on emblems etc.
I'm sure you already know about this but a good way to use those high res images of paintings is to plug them into pixelating programs to make your own full coverage pieces. I'm currently working on tweaking the colours of a favourite painting to make one myself. It's cool because you can tweak the size and amount of colours used, etc. Warning: addictive! And the amount of options is obviously unlimited, lol I'm using Pixel-Stitch btw - it's free!

I hope you give it a try! I really have enjoyed the 20ct and the stitches look so small and perfect. I think it will be fun for some smalls. I kinda want to make some fridge magnets so tiny Aida is perfect. Maybe even over 1 on 32ct linen.
I hope she likes it when it’s finished it’s been so fun to knit tho. I’m not too precious with gifts I don’t mind if they never get used I just have so much fun making the stuff ya know. I hope I get little pictures of her in it tho haha that would be SO cute.

I'm joining your Manning May after I get my order from 123Stitch. I'm doing the chart Bee Bouquet, it's so cute with lots of flowers and bees. I'm going to use called for fabric and floss.

Fun episode, Megan. Love to see what you are stitching. Isn't it fun to do your daughter's hair. I used to do both my girl's hair when they were young. Now they are 30 & 32. No more hair doing. Picked up a Carolyn Manning small to join along with you in Manning May. It is my first Manning. Looks like fun.
I will be so sad when she decides she is too old for me to do her hair haha. It’s just our thing every morning.

I love the bonding leave for mothers. Do fathers qualify too? I have never heard of this. I also love Stitching by the Shore; she is such a sweetheart. Like her, light blue is my choice for a neutral fabric. However, I just finished Time for God by Lizzie Kate on 14 count Oaken, and I love it. I just shared the finish on our flosstube.-Angie
It depends on the state you live in actually so I’m not sure. A lot of states have it where it’s not job secure so if you take extra leave you can get fired without reason. I’ll have to go watch because I love Lizzie Kate stuff. So cute!

I’m glad to see that you are enjoying your extra time off. Bonding time is awesome! It allows time off once you have recovered. Have you ever heard of or tried Valdani floss? It was the suggested floss for the set of 2 Manning pieces I purchased. (Seaside Cottage) I decided to try it but have never seen anyone I follow mention it before. I don’t see the eagles in your piece either ….
Yes I have I actually have it in two projects one that’s just kitted up a rosewood manor autumn Quaker and I started the summer one with the valdani flosses too. They are so pretty! I enjoyed working with them. Being on spools I moved them to Flossdrops but I love the affect. The colors are beautifully variegated on both the sets I got for those pieces.

Funny, the only time I’ve done my own color conversion was on a stone street stitchworks pattern.
Idk what it is I love a lot of the patterns but the colors just aren’t me.

Great Video and have got your shortie video for the first time . Knitting question bed socks have you made and ever in cashmere or angora something soft for bed only. Any advice.
I haven’t but I imagine even if they are just for bed they won’t last long. I think naturally you would still wear them walking to and from the bathroom or walking around briefly and they would wear down very fast. The twist in sock yarn is really what makes them so strong and last years and years. I say go for it but don’t expect them to last long. Another option is to knit at a really tight gage. That makes it where the stitches have less room to rub against one another and wear down less. 💖💖
@@TheSeattleStitcher I told my sister no walking to bathroom, wear slippers, nothing. Yarn is no cheap so what alternative yarn. For bed ,so soft. alpaca?.
@@yvonnevigil7489 I would do a sock yarn and hold it with mohair. Still soft but you get the strength of a good sock yarn too they will be thicker socks but that’s always nice for bed socks.

I made bed socks once and plan another pair. My feet get very cold in winter so I made cabled socks in aran weight yarn. No nylon so I don’t wear them around the house. I love them! My next pair will be wool with yak in a sport weight yarn. I have the yarn but haven’t picked a pattern yet.

@TheSeattleStitcher Your Manning that you bought the 14 count aida for. I really like the Prairie pattern. My new LNS that is closer also sells the Morgan hoop. I'm thinking about getting one to try on this project if I can figure out where to start it. They just look over whelming.
