    PRINTABLE RECIPE: 🖨️ thestayathomec... 🖨️
    🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴
    ✅Ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 teaspoons paprika
    • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
    • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary, minced
    • 2 teaspoons salt
    • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 3 to 8 pound turkey breast (boneless or bone-in)
    ✅Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place turkey breast skin side up on the rack of a roasting pan, or into a lightly greased 9x13 pan.
2️⃣ In a small bowl, stir together olive oil paprika, oregano, rosemary, salt, thyme, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to form a paste.
3️⃣ Loosen the skin with your finger and spoon some of the spice mixture underneath the skin. Smooth it out to cover as much of the meat as possible. Rub the remaining spice mixture on top of the turkey breast skin.
4️⃣ Roast in the preheated oven for approx. 20 minutes per pound, until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Measure the temperature in the center of the thickest part of the breast. Actual cooking time will depend on the size of your turkey breast. Boneless turkey breasts will cook faster. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
5️⃣ Remove from the oven and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let rest for 15 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Then slice and serve.

I’ve been making Turkey in a variation like this for years & everyone says it’s the best they’ve ever had. I add chicken broth, carrots, onions, celery, garlic, & red potatoes to the roasting pan & the carrots and potatoes are so delicious! Stuffing an herb butter under the skin & on top makes all the difference ❤️

My version is very close to yours - I blend a mixture of dark soy sauce || worcestershire || and habenero sauce with a dash of fish sauce and inject.
I add a bit of honey to the herb butter
Always get the request to make this for the holidays
Can take the same recipe and apply to a roast chicken

When I saw the length of the video, my first thought was, “no way this is going to cover everything!” And I was wrong. It was so on point, Because it did not have the “when we were growing up…“ Or “I remembered my first Thanksgiving with my great grandmother…” I was pleasantly surprised, absolutely, not disappointed, with the absence of sage and the presence of paprika. I am going to have to do this!!!! I normally spatchcock a whole turkey for a quick meal, but there are always too many leftovers. This looks like it would handle that issue splendidly!

Dry roasting is superior. Basting chicken/turkey is such a poor way to do it, wonder how it ever caught on to begin with.
Especially with a big bird like a turkey, it's basically braised/basted and cooks very unevenly.

Can chopped fresh herbs be used or is dried herbs best? I ask because I have some fresh thyme, rosemary and sage. If I should only mix dried herbs with the oil, could I just lay the fresh herbs in the pan while my Turkey breast bakes? I have a 6 pound bone in Turkey breast. I bake at 375 for 2 hours? Just making sure so I don’t mess up. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

My Turkey is significantly bigger so I'm cooking it at 325 degrees for about 3 hrs and 30 min. I probably baste it since it's so much bigger and has a longer cooking time.
