  • I got this amazing video a week ago when my family went to Brier Island to have a whale watching. I have to say that day was our lucky day, because it was so unusual to see a whale rotating just in front of u in a so close distance, according to what the captain said. It was a humpback, but I dont know it was a boy or girl unfortunately. If u know, pls tell me, thanks!!

It's simply amazing how the whale clearly knows what is going on.

Their exclamations may be why the whale was interacting the way he did, I would have been freaking out, too!

What is it with people? Don't they have any sense of composure these days? Had I been a whale, I tell you. ...This is what I probably would have thought:
"I really wonder what kind of maniacs those small screaming beings are? The ones that are floating around on the surfuce in big lumps. And why are they waving those stick looking fins of theirs everytime I come up and look at them? But they sure look funny. And they do seem to like me very much, that I can feel from the energy they project. They seem to wanna look at me. Cause every time we come to this bay, they are here too. I wonder what they are thinking?
So well. .. when I have nothing more important to do, like feeding or singing, it is quite fun to twirl around the floating things that are full of those sound making small creatures with their thin waving fins.
Sometimes I amuse myself by blowing water on them, cause when I do they sound louder. But they seem to like it. And even more strange, if I roll around, or if I show my fluke or my face above in the airworld. Then they also make louder sounds. I don't understand one bit of their sounds, but I don't care. Strange it is, but fun.... Cause they are different from all the other creatures that live in my deep blue world. And like I said, they really seem to like me even though I'm so much bigger than they are. Hmmmm, some really weird beings in the airworld indeed"

I got a look at the Dorsal, usually the under flukes are used to ID them This HOOKED dorsal I would guess belongs to Foggy an FEMALE, Humpback that frequents that area.
