I am asking you guys if the Javazon is the best PVM build in the game. I'm not saying my Javazon build is the best Javazon build there is. Sorry for the confusion :)
I personally love javazons and they're really good in PVM with the right gear. With that being said, I still think necromancers are easily the best PVM class. Summoners can easily solo 8 player games with essentially no gear and if you've got great gear, then a bone/corpse explosion build can't really be matched for speed. A bit slower than charged strike against bosses, but teleporting onto a single target with revives can take them out quickly.
i guess a javazon is best for bosses but for mob packs a good equipped light sorc is still the best imo. 50k+ light dmg just raze everything in an instant. also just switch your merc's armor after fade activates. it lasts for like six minutes. enough for any boss fight or chaos run or whatever.

I’ve been playing Java and Smite for over ten years as my mains including a lot of HC and I can say without hesitation Java is by far the best pvm build and also easily one of the best pvp chars if you know what you’re doing. Btw if you’re not doing maxblock then I recommend Spirit mon. Damage reduction isn’t necessary for pvm. In case anyone wants to pk you’ll have to use high magic Javs 4-6 + skill with 40%ias as main wep with upp eth titans in stash for sorbers. You’ll also need damage reduction gear in stash for heavy melee builds such as storm shield verdungos and a ber ber coa. My pvp java does 17k charged strike/4.8k life/max block/21% DR without storm shield/6/40 javs /facet griff/maras/rfrost + bk/ spirit mon/ ds nigma/ aldur set boots/ 3/20 magic gloves. This char will 1hit nearly anyone in pub and less than 3-4 hit vs stacked res. Anyone sorbing will be immune to you so that’s when you switch to physical dmg gear like upp eth Titans/ fort etc
Sorry, a light sorc cannot kill an entire screen of cows in one cast, because there is a max mobs hit. LF splits based on your skill and pierce and can one shot 200 cows all at once, the only hard thing there is to sort through the gear. People used to say she was Queen of the Chaos Sanctuary, but I feel that is the light/Cold sorc. Chain Lightning is the ultimate killer in the Chaos sanctuary with an orb or two for the LIs. She's awesome, I am not saying the Sorc sucks, just against Cows and bosses you can't beat the Zon with one.
im in the process of building one right now actually, never played amazon before and i read the possible issues with fend so i went for jav. so far i love it at lvl 18. happy to see this game still gets the attention it deserves going into 2018, best pc game of all time IMO
Javazon always been my favorite. The thing about blocking is it makes your character more versatile for the price of... basically nothing. Saying you don't need to block is like saying you don't need resistances, because you weren't intending on getting hit anyway. I honestly never got why some people skip it. Other than that, pretty solid. GG
They "skipped" it because of more points to put in life (vitality), which is often prefered when dueling SvS (SmiterVsSmiter) because smite ignores block %.
There is a downside to blocking as a javazon....it will interrupt your abilities...therefore making it frustrating to clear packs if constantly blocking. I actually prefer to block less so this doesn't happen. Block is great defensively, but offensively it actually hinders you a bit. Resistances are way more important.
We'll cant have all the info, does make a video long, but yes a note is good, especially cause it sucks to figure it out yourself if you make the build.
I like Phoenix shield for the Javazon, the 'accidental' firestorm cast can be annoying due to your low fcr, but the redemption aura on it is great as you rarely have to drink any potions. And of course the enhanced damage and fire absord on it are great mods too. I like razortail for simpler enemies like Cows, it just obliterates them, but for tougher areas such as World Stone Keep / Throne Room I usually go with T-God's. And with T-God's, Phoenix and Raven you have all 3 elemental absorbs, greatly enhancing survivability against elemental monsters. For Boots I just go with Gore Riders. And one of my ring slots goes to BK or SoJ for the +Skills and either life or mana.
To all the people who say this build is wrong in so many ways, please make your own build video and link in the comments. Let's see if you can make a better one. I'm here to find the better build, and my knowledge about D2 builds is pure, so i appreciate if you could give me the number one Javazon build.
Griffon eye was bhgged for javazons I used Phoenix shield runeword And the reason teleport is so slow on amazon is the passive akills: when yoy dodge any other action is intrerupted

I also know you have mentioned several times that you get gear to show off builds, etc. What happened to the idea of "make Diablo great again"?For the Frenzy Barb, I am not sure where you got the perfect rolled Last Wish, Grief, both HOTO's with perfect rolls on switch, perfect SoE, and perfect A Face with no less a Cham in it. The perfect Gheeds, all perfect skiller grand charms of vita with 45 life, perfect anni, and perfect torch(not to mention even specific class). The merc has a perfect Faith, along with a perfect def, leech, and str Andy's. Where is the 30/15 Ruby Jewel of Fervor? The Amazon is no less spectacular with all her perfect gear such as the Ethereal Titan's with perf ED roll and leech, perfect Griffon's with a perfect 5/5 lightning facet, shield with 4 perfect 5/5 lightning facets, and the perfect Ravenfrost. Then those gloves. I mean seriously dude, you probably wouldn't get a pair of gloves like that if you crafted 1,000 pairs of them. The merc of course has the perfect Vamp Gaze and Infinity. Either the gear was created or you traded for it with somebody that bots like crazy dude. Its one thing to even find the Runes to craft some of that gear, let alone have all perfect rolls. I am glad you still enjoy and play D2, and make videos for it to get younger people possibly into playing the game or to get somebody back into it. D2 is my favorite game of all time, hands down, and it just irks the shit out of me to see somebody using gear that is nearly impossible to have even one of.
I don't understand the problem. He's not using to cheese a speeds in. He's not using it to win at PvP. Why is this a bad thing? Because without context it looks like you're mad at him for no reason.
The only other class i've seen clear hell cows that fast was a fully geared summon/corpse explosion necro. Summons+Amp+Corpse explosion takes out the entire pack. Even with 8 players in he cleared the whole level in like 1 minute 30 seconds by himself.
The only reason hdins need to port a lot is because it’s the only way to aim your hammers at a specific monster or group. Hams are unpredictable so hdins have to constantly readjust their position. Javazons have laser precision and have no need to reposition themselves to hit any intended target. Add to that the fact that any zon should have good ftw and it makes having to Tele even less needed
I’ve always thought it was one of the better ones from light fury or the poison jav. Always loved how the lightning would split between the mobs and keep piercing and continuing through
Gotta ask, how do Diablo 2 players in general feel about classes being able to use skills from other classes? For example Teleport which is a Sorceress spell, it seems kinda odd to me that other classes than Sorceress should be able to use it. Overall, is that considered positive or negative?
Sorry I know this is an old comment but! Inter-class skills keep the game alive. its 20 years old so being able to turn your sorc into a werebear, or teleport on your magic finding barbarian is alot more fun than the common class builds (though always very expensive). One thing to consider is that a class skill will never be able to be as synergized or leveled as it would be on its primary class -- so sure, an amazon can tele -- but her cast animation sucks! Or.. you can build a faith to have fanatacism (increased damage aura) but the level is restricted. Overall these are only found as positives however, because it what makes d2 able to survive 20 years of playtime. Constant new build ideas.
Phoenix is also a good shield, so you can get redemption from dead minions. you can also use 2 Stone of Jordan's since they give you 12 to light damage and 1 to skills and mana regain.
Simply to reach +100% chance to pierce without having to spend too many skill points into Pierce. Razortail gives 33% chance to pierce which means you only need a total of 9 points in Pierce to achieve 103% chance to pierce. Infinity gives you the Conviction Aura but 0 pierce. Lightning Fury, main skill as Javazon - "If the javelin goes through the initial target (possible through investment into the Pierce Skill and/or obtaining the Razortail unique belt) then the javelin releases bolts again upon hitting the next hard surface(s)." Also, just so you are aware, with TGods and a Wisp, you will heal from Gloams. I always carry both belts and a wisp because Gloams suck!, basically all lightning damage will heal you (presuming you are at max res).
Hi! Thank you for the awesome content! I started to play with D2 again because of you! So I have a noob question for you. I have the 1.14d version of the game, and I want to fast level up with the players command and fight with the ubers etc...however I can't use the /players 8 command in the multiplayer, and as I know there are no ubers in the singleplayer game. Or maybe I know something wrong, but I am sure you can help me to find out the answer (because you had the hellfire torch and you can use the command too). Thank you, and keep on the good work ;)
Budget javzon not bad, honest this build pretty well balance..why first not end game equipment so you can enjoy roaming still get pwn...thats what pvm its all about...
I stopped to check this out because I'm playing a javazon on single player right now. Certainly a fun build and I have fond memories of clearing out cows with them.
Idk what the fcr breakpoints are for a zon, but why wouldn't you use a Spirit shield? You clearly do enough damage, the 4 light facets just seem like overkill. +2 skills would still give you some damage. Fcr, res, mana all seem like they would be beneficial.
Playing ladder I haven’t seen a Titan’s in more than three years. Most of my ladder builds are sealers or Bowazons because I haven’t been able to find this javelin. Loved playing it though.
Strange, last night I got one (bad, 201%) reaper's toll and an eth Titan's in the same meph drop. Sorc, 500 MF,single player under Plugy, hence the Reaper's
is pluggy required to get the infinity runeword in non ladder? and if so, do most people nowadays run pluggy? I just started playing d2 again after maybe a 10 year hiatus and im trying to figure out the best route to go, thanks in advance for the advice! also, I noticed you're playing v 1.13, not 1.14d. any reason for that?
Im a month late but you need version 1.13 to run pluggy also pluggy is the best sp mod its all legit no hacking just make sp like bnet gives you ubers super stash/shared stash d clone that spawns on its own and ladder only stuff. 10/10 would download and enjoy (:
Plugy is best. I grew tired of battle net wiping my account if you don't log in after 3 months. With plugy you get everything you can get on bnet, in single player, play at your leisure and never lose anything unless you wipe your computer. You don't have to put up with scammers, spammers, bots, etc, only drawback is a bit hard to get gear I guess.
had a fully geared javazon in HC last ladder. was amazing except having to repair javs or having a separate set of javs in your inventory. The real problem is having to have an infinity.
Its is not only the best PVM char but also the best PVP char by far. you cannot defend against a java. But probably it's the most expensive char you can equip. 6/40, eth P upped titans, griffeon P with 5/5, JMOD etc etc.
Yeah a smite pally with 2x wisp rings, Guardian Angel armor, T-God's belt and some other simple absorb/resist items will never get killed by a java zon.

So I’m new to Diablo 2! I played when I was young but never really got into it. I just picked it back up again and I really love the Amazons! How do you have such a high mana pool if you don’t put any points into energy??
Starting Mana +15 Each character level increases Mana by +1.5 (assuming Level 99, that equals +148.5 Mana) Annihilus & Hellfire Torch inventory items both add +20 to Attributes, for Energy that increases by another +60, because the Mana gain per Energy level is also +1.5 +40 to Mana for Raven Frost Ring That all totals to a Mana count of 263.5 without spending attribute points. Then I think he has an item in his weapon-switch second loadout that increases Mana by 100-something, but I didn't quite catch it. And also, he has many skills like "x% to Mana when hit" or something, so he will regenerate upon taking damage. The rate of natural regeneration also increases the higher of a Mana pool you have - I think. If any of his auras increase mana or mana regeneration, I can't tell.

What I like most is the replayability this game has, you can customize everything and take so many different routes in terms of equipment, skills and characters, it's quite insane!
I don't find this character being anyhow better than my lighting sorceress. My lite-sorceres had all res maxed, second highest cast speed in the game, 86% faster hit recovery, 75% chance to block, 51K lighting damage, 4,1K charge bolt damage, +infinity effect from mercenary. And I see you are not a fan of doing chaos runs fast, but I did chaos runs in under 1min 30secs if I remember correctly, anyway alot faster than paladin bots did those. Also my sorc killed bosses faster than this build is doing.
Well, quite difficult to get all this gear together in singleplayer. My luck, I found 3 different bartuc claws, and 2 thundergods belts, but so far, no titans, no ss, no razortail and definitely no aldurs boots. Very nice crafted gloves btw, godly. PS. Oh wow, sweet, you're using the DSE mod for single player.
Diadem/Highlords amu/Pheonix shield/titans/gore boots/graft gloves/raven ring or stone or.. 1 skill rings/tundergood belt/ forty or enigma...this is beast by far build for ama !
I just did this build and now at Hell difficulty and I am struggling really hard just to complete act 1 quests. My big problems are those Lightning immune monsters. Any tip on how to get past them without "infinity"?. This "infinity" runeword is very hard to find and I am running out of options on what to do. Please help. My Javazon(lightning) is now at level 79 btw.
Fort is better than Treachery for defense. You can get like nearly 2k more def from it along with a life and res. My merc died a lot with a Treachery but rarely dies now with Fort.
i think phoenix and fortytude works alot better than eni + spirit with eth titans u can clear cs even without infy pretty easyli and if u go for a1 merc with harmony its jsut as fast. it just feels so bad to tele on java ... i prefer to have a phys light hybrid wich rplenishs health all day long and runs ultra fast over a slow tele java wich can kill baal in 2 secs i think the hybrid version is even stronger faster in all content over the tele version exept bossing wich takes a few seconds more.... and not even worth mentioning to all the other benefits it provides...
Nah Treachery for dps merc, fortitude for tank. Treachery gives your merc better bps, fhr/ias. Tested it, it out dps the fort. Be sure to hit mercs bps though.
your gear build is ideal, except personal preference jmod or w/e. But, most of the time, javazon will only do cows. And you only need half of those gears to one shot everything. Again, most of the time, not all
Hello! I'm also playing singleplayer and I got to Hell and now I'm stuck! I have both a Necromancer and a Sorc. My poor merc keeps on dying and the enemies can withstand so much damage... Any suggestions to what I should do? :)
Frenzy barb with wolfhowl for feral rage. Buff feral rage in wolf form then once its full untrasform and frenzy somthing. Run so fast the game cant load fast enough
Ethereal items gets a 50% damage (or armor if armor item) bonus. Ethereal items can't be repaired but Titan's have this cool stat "Replenishes quantity" which means they repair themselves basically.
Javazon is one of the best pvm in my opinion. Yes it kills everything so fast (often just one click), but the low FCR and the lack of mana/insight make it slow. The explosion necromances is the best cow/pvm runer, but sucks vs bosses. Lightning sors is fast, but not enaugh to the best. Hammerdin can kill almost everything, but is not the fastest killer. Druid is just slow, barb is shit, Trapsin is ok, but again not the best. That iam sure is that the Amazon is THE best Baal runer in the game. I prefer Spirit - 2 all skills (damage), 55 FHR (iam sure you have 0 whit this build), resistances, life, mana. The 4 lightning facet Monarch give you damage but you lose so many things you have to have and your damage is just fine whatever which shield you use. You use cat's eye for the runing speed. Dude, Enigma+Titan's+Boots=100+ and you need more? highlord is much better amulet - 1 all skills (damage), 35% lightning res (you have to cap lightning and fire) and the 20 IAS
And why the gloves? Is the cb gonna help your already 1-2 shotting hell diablo/baal rofl Not all javelin skill gcs... My ocd gets so triggered but loved the vid!!!
That's a D2 urban myth. Back in 2000, when cow runs were the ultimate way to level up, did so much testing, but inconclusive really. Most of the times game seemed to spawn more cows with more scrolls, but it would throw a wrench into it every 3rd or 4th games.
Yeah i figured so thanks for the follow up. I mean even it where true, shit would probably almost never be noticeable anyway considering the baseline RNG lol.
If you do cows, coh over enigma or even baal if run a good map (pluggy) you get excellent rez, damage reduction +2 skills and strength, very nice. You tele into a mob with such low fcr and no extra damage reduction and less block rate your gonna die, i prefer storm in this regard.

Sure this is one of my favourite builds! And I like what you said about the rushing "It's not a race or something, just enjoy the game".

I’m personally a fan of Fortitude, but only in a well rolled E-Bugged armor. Other than that, totally agreed with Treachery.

Inter-class skills keep the game alive. its 20 years old so being able to turn your sorc into a werebear, or teleport on your magic finding barbarian is alot more fun than the common class builds (though always very expensive). One thing to consider is that a class skill will never be able to be as synergized or leveled as it would be on its primary class -- so sure, an amazon can tele -- but her cast animation sucks! Or.. you can build a faith to have fanatacism (increased damage aura) but the level is restricted. Overall these are only found as positives however, because it what makes d2 able to survive 20 years of playtime. Constant new build ideas.
the most of important of Javazon is to get highter piercing rate to reach 99 up.and the skill to make the monster cluster.and one shot clear....
Truly, a beautiful Amazon build.
Phoenix is also a good shield, so you can get redemption from dead minions. you can also use 2 Stone of Jordan's since they give you 12 to light damage and 1 to skills and mana regain.
1-12 lightning dmg (x2) is literally nothing

why would you use razortail if your merc has infinity? thanks for the great video.
Simply to reach +100% chance to pierce without having to spend too many skill points into Pierce. Razortail gives 33% chance to pierce which means you only need a total of 9 points in Pierce to achieve 103% chance to pierce. Infinity gives you the Conviction Aura but 0 pierce.
Lightning Fury, main skill as Javazon - "If the javelin goes through the initial target (possible through investment into the Pierce Skill and/or obtaining the Razortail unique belt) then the javelin releases bolts again upon hitting the next hard surface(s)."
Pierce will allow your Javazon to unlock Monster melting status ;).

Also, just so you are aware, with TGods and a Wisp, you will heal from Gloams. I always carry both belts and a wisp because Gloams suck!, basically all lightning damage will heal you (presuming you are at max res).
Hi! Thank you for the awesome content! I started to play with D2 again because of you! So I have a noob question for you. I have the 1.14d version of the game, and I want to fast level up with the players command and fight with the ubers etc...however I can't use the /players 8 command in the multiplayer, and as I know there are no ubers in the singleplayer game. Or maybe I know something wrong, but I am sure you can help me to find out the answer (because you had the hellfire torch and you can use the command too). Thank you, and keep on the good work ;)

Budget javzon not bad, honest this build pretty well balance..why first not end game equipment so you can enjoy roaming still get pwn...thats what pvm its all about...

Idk what the fcr breakpoints are for a zon, but why wouldn't you use a Spirit shield? You clearly do enough damage, the 4 light facets just seem like overkill. +2 skills would still give you some damage. Fcr, res, mana all seem like they would be beneficial.

Playing ladder I haven’t seen a Titan’s in more than three years. Most of my ladder builds are sealers or Bowazons because I haven’t been able to find this javelin. Loved playing it though.

Im a month late but you need version 1.13 to run pluggy also pluggy is the best sp mod its all legit no hacking just make sp like bnet gives you ubers super stash/shared stash d clone that spawns on its own and ladder only stuff. 10/10 would download and enjoy (:

Plugy is best. I grew tired of battle net wiping my account if you don't log in after 3 months. With plugy you get everything you can get on bnet, in single player, play at your leisure and never lose anything unless you wipe your computer. You don't have to put up with scammers, spammers, bots, etc, only drawback is a bit hard to get gear I guess.

the castiing you could use spirit shield and wiz dagger for fast cast rate
had a fully geared javazon in HC last ladder. was amazing except having to repair javs or having a separate set of javs in your inventory. The real problem is having to have an infinity.
Its is not only the best PVM char but also the best PVP char by far. you cannot defend against a java. But probably it's the most expensive char you can equip. 6/40, eth P upped titans, griffeon P with 5/5, JMOD etc etc.

Yeah a smite pally with 2x wisp rings, Guardian Angel armor, T-God's belt and some other simple absorb/resist items will never get killed by a java zon.
Using sorb in "Real" duels is not allowed, if you have to use any sorb in a duel you just suck. As im sure you do.

So I’m new to Diablo 2! I played when I was young but never really got into it. I just picked it back up again and I really love the Amazons! How do you have such a high mana pool if you don’t put any points into energy??
Starting Mana +15
Each character level increases Mana by +1.5 (assuming Level 99, that equals +148.5 Mana)
Annihilus & Hellfire Torch inventory items both add +20 to Attributes, for Energy that increases by another +60, because the Mana gain per Energy level is also +1.5
+40 to Mana for Raven Frost Ring
That all totals to a Mana count of 263.5 without spending attribute points.
Then I think he has an item in his weapon-switch second loadout that increases Mana by 100-something, but I didn't quite catch it.
And also, he has many skills like "x% to Mana when hit" or something, so he will regenerate upon taking damage.
The rate of natural regeneration also increases the higher of a Mana pool you have - I think.
If any of his auras increase mana or mana regeneration, I can't tell.

It's a great game man, I'm just getting back into it as well, just entered Act II.
The furthest I ever got was near the end of Act IV.
What I like most is the replayability this game has, you can customize everything and take so many different routes in terms of equipment, skills and characters, it's quite insane!

I don't find this character being anyhow better than my lighting sorceress. My lite-sorceres had all res maxed, second highest cast speed in the game, 86% faster hit recovery, 75% chance to block, 51K lighting damage, 4,1K charge bolt damage, +infinity effect from mercenary. And I see you are not a fan of doing chaos runs fast, but I did chaos runs in under 1min 30secs if I remember correctly, anyway alot faster than paladin bots did those. Also my sorc killed bosses faster than this build is doing.
Well, quite difficult to get all this gear together in singleplayer. My luck, I found 3 different bartuc claws, and 2 thundergods belts, but so far, no titans, no ss, no razortail and definitely no aldurs boots.
Very nice crafted gloves btw, godly.

I just did this build and now at Hell difficulty and I am struggling really hard just to complete act 1 quests. My big problems are those Lightning immune monsters. Any tip on how to get past them without "infinity"?. This "infinity" runeword is very hard to find and I am running out of options on what to do. Please help. My Javazon(lightning) is now at level 79 btw.

Fort is better than Treachery for defense. You can get like nearly 2k more def from it along with a life and res. My merc died a lot with a Treachery but rarely dies now with Fort.
How does the class handle Lighting Immunes?
Are you using some sort of addon for your stash inventory? If so, what is that?

i think phoenix and fortytude works alot better than eni + spirit with eth titans u can clear cs even without infy pretty easyli and if u go for a1 merc with harmony its jsut as fast. it just feels so bad to tele on java ... i prefer to have a phys light hybrid wich rplenishs health all day long and runs ultra fast over a slow tele java wich can kill baal in 2 secs i think the hybrid version is even stronger faster in all content over the tele version exept bossing wich takes a few seconds more.... and not even worth mentioning to all the other benefits it provides...

Nah Treachery for dps merc, fortitude for tank. Treachery gives your merc better bps, fhr/ias. Tested it, it out dps the fort. Be sure to hit mercs bps though.
your gear build is ideal, except personal preference jmod or w/e. But, most of the time, javazon will only do cows. And you only need half of those gears to one shot everything. Again, most of the time, not all

Noob question: Why using etheral items?
Because on titans, they have replenishing quantity, you don't "repair" them in the conventional way, so why not use ethereal, they do more damage.
Ethereal items gets a 50% damage (or armor if armor item) bonus. Ethereal items can't be repaired but Titan's have this cool stat "Replenishes quantity" which means they repair themselves basically.
Javazon is one of the best pvm in my opinion. Yes it kills everything so fast (often just one click), but the low FCR and the lack of mana/insight make it slow. The explosion necromances is the best cow/pvm runer, but sucks vs bosses. Lightning sors is fast, but not enaugh to the best. Hammerdin can kill almost everything, but is not the fastest killer. Druid is just slow, barb is shit, Trapsin is ok, but again not the best.
That iam sure is that the Amazon is THE best Baal runer in the game.
I prefer Spirit - 2 all skills (damage), 55 FHR (iam sure you have 0 whit this build), resistances, life, mana. The 4 lightning facet Monarch give you damage but you lose so many things you have to have and your damage is just fine whatever which shield you use.
You use cat's eye for the runing speed. Dude, Enigma+Titan's+Boots=100+ and you need more? highlord is much better amulet - 1 all skills (damage), 35% lightning res (you have to cap lightning and fire) and the 20 IAS
And why the gloves? Is the cb gonna help your already 1-2 shotting hell diablo/baal rofl

That's a D2 urban myth. Back in 2000, when cow runs were the ultimate way to level up, did so much testing, but inconclusive really. Most of the times game seemed to spawn more cows with more scrolls, but it would throw a wrench into it every 3rd or 4th games.

If you do cows, coh over enigma or even baal if run a good map (pluggy) you get excellent rez, damage reduction +2 skills and strength, very nice. You tele into a mob with such low fcr and no extra damage reduction and less block rate your gonna die, i prefer storm in this regard.
