- Prince Harry has returned alone to the UK to be by King Charles' side after being told of his shock cancer diagnosis, raising hopes of a royal reconciliation.
The Duke of Sussex has reportedly touched down on a British Airways flight to London Heathrow to visit his father - but his wife Meghan Markle and children Archie and Lilibet have stayed at home in California.
Royal expert Jennie Bond joins Cross Talk to discuss the situation further.

I’m sure that most of us would want be by our parents side in a time like this. My siblings did not speak to me for over 2 1/2 years because I did not get the “jab”. The only thing that brought us back together ( slightly ) was my father’s 90th birthday this past August. It’s still strained, however, at least we can be in the same room again. Albeit, unfortunately, it will never be the same as it was in the past. But, to see my daddy so happy that we were all with him, made it worth it. I live 3 minutes from my daddy and get to see him daily. ( they do not live near ). Prayers for all of the RF, with special prayers for King Charles and Queen Camilla, and Princess Catherine and Prince William. As well as , all of the people of the Commonwealth. God Save The King. 🙏🏼. 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧

I think Harry needs to split his time now between his family in the US and his obligations as a Royal in UK with most of the time being in the UK for now. Meghan needs to support this. Harry should put the family personal problems aside for now. They and we all know how he feels. There is time for that later. Now is the time to step up to the role he was born to, and support his father, the King, and his brother the King to be. This is the time to show his father what a son's love and support can be without demanding anything from him. Harry, you won't have another chance like this to be there for your father and brother, now is when they need you. Kate has had surgery. They all need YOU. Not Meghan. YOU. You and Anne. Leave the problems you have with the family at the door and show them your dedication, your love and your support. Stand your ground with Meghan. She needs to understand this and support it. You can fly home to see them but then come back to the UK. Bring one child with you to care for. Make this work.

Regarding H's visit I have contradictory thoughts, on the one hand I want to think that it is not a PR maneuver, on the other hand I think it is. I hope Prince William remains vigilant about everything surrounding H's visit. The Senior Royal Family doesn't need any more stress, they need to unite around the King, and not let a "certain" person in California take advantage of this situation for personal gain...
